Great Stuff keep it up, The main thing about Euro cars is that nobody buys NEW Euro Cars , they all lease them and then update when the new model come around, all AMG/ BMW, Audi RS etc. Which is why if you have the money you buy an x leased car get it checked out and then get the performance mods done to it and then look after it, you will have a great car for years. Its only the cost of the parts OE parts that is when something goes wrong?🦘🦘👌👌👍👍

i love running euro cars in the barra ute.. They might be half the power but they shit on me off the line. Then its a chase down game. There are some sick VWs out there that do the same Its just choice in the end. im a bogan and was going to buy a black vf ss waggon to build or a black FGX turbo ute and ended up with 31 of 31 built black xr50t utes
Agreed, we should be inclusive in the car community, seeing how things are going to be in the future. I'm a bmw guy through and through but the barra is a work of art and I love inline sixes from all makes and models.

I’ve said for decades they had huge tuning potential and amidst the early 2000s plenty of people told me tuning euro cars would be a big waste! I also suggested turbocharged Lambo’s would be formidable but was told they wouldn’t respond well to boost lol
Impressive engines 👌 For comparison my fg recently put down 480whp and 572 ft lbs on 18psi lol But Fgs are fat at about 1750kgs ,it might go low 11s ,amazing how much the weight slows u down. I'm only in at 35k ,but Idk that extra 15k might be worth although with e85 and around 25psi the ol fg would be good for 450rwkw. Currently on 98 as it's a daily, plus i like still having good economic, and we've kept it pretty safe (stock driveline, even has stock clutch lol), engines only 3500klms old ,see how it goes and if i can upgrade tailshaft, axles/cvs, twin mount diff hat we can look at turning it up to chase 10s full weight 🤔👌
It’s actually dearer than a borg warner(efr 7163) and the company that makes the v5 turbos are quite successful in the UK and they’re very reliable turbos!!!
Beautiful classy car. But these things are $35k minimum to start with. I would say 15k worth of work and 50k spent. Real world choice,bang for buck, would be an Evo for that sort of money.
I got my TT also tuned by this guy, they require a DSG tune for sure to increase the clamping pressure of the clutch pack to prevent slipping and excess heat/ wear. I think hes still running the stock clutch pack. As he said he'd fully build the motor eventually to make bigger power is probably when he would upgrade the clutches to handle even more power. But yes DQ250.

I get giggle when people stick stick a bigger Turbo and pump in more boost and think they achieved something wonderful, guys in the US are running high 5's low 6's with little toyotas and 4 banger Hondas, but their idea of a street car if you can rego it they think its a street cars I've seen full chassis pro mods registered which is ridiculous

I'm at 480 in my fg on 18psi but that max on 98 and I'll be lucky to go low 11s in it, this goes 9.70s 🤯 amazing how much the weight slows u down.

Yeah weight and aero at higher speeds definitely make a difference.
We went 9.90@140 with 500whp in a full weight VP berlina using the stock block v6 and a factory falcon turbo. Weight is everything.
My dead stock RS3 8Y runs 7.3 @95mph on the 1/8mile, will be interesting how much quicker this tt will be? Nice work guys!

That turbo looks like a cheap Borg Warner EFR knockoff

Apart from the DQ200 which is a dry clutch model, they’re actually quite strong
The mk7 and 7.5 have bloody strong dsg boxes if tuned right and maintained
I’ve got a 7.5R tuned by Alex with Galano software and pulling 430kw and 740nm on stock clutches. These boxes are incredibly strong.
