Thinking of you love. My Gorgeous Dad always sung it to My Mum, My Maggie. So I know how your tears fall.. We'll always see them when we hear this song. 😢Xx
Played this recently at my mums funeral. Her favourite piece, her name was Margaret, so often called Maggie. Beautiful piece of music Thankyou Foster and Allen❤
My mother (Maggie) grew up in a family of 9 in The Gorbals Glagow at that time 1940s the toughest city in Europe she came through that and kept us me and 3 sisters together in Australia in spite of an alcoholic abusive father. So at her funeral , this song meant so much
Aww Bill miller I Am One Of 9 Also Garngad Glasgow. My Sister Was Called Margaret But She's Gone Now 2019.. My Brother In Law Andy Use Tae Sing This Tae Hur When He Wiz Drunk. Maggie.lol. 😃 Have Friends That Came From The Gorbals Also In The Mid 1950's Lawmuir Street.
I just love this, My first love was Maggie but we had to separate nearly 50 years ago, I still think of her and miss the feeling that I have never had since...At least I spent one Christmas with her and her family, I hope she is happy wherever she may be.
I dedicate this to my awesome Grandmother, Maggie-Jane. I had a horrible childhood only made bearable by my visits to her. She gave me a reference point of love and safety which I believe saved me from a path of self destruct. This year I turn 65, the same age as she was when she died, I was 6, years old, and it feels really weird, however, without her love, I believe I would never had, had a long life. God bless and thanks Gran and also thanks for this posting. X 💕
I had a bad childhood also my mother was trying to raise 5 kids on her own needless to say at times she would put us three younger ones in girls homes and my two half brother an sister weren’t put away but it’s in the past

Written by a young Canadian George Washington Johnson for his wife Maggie Clark in 1864.Sadly they were only married seven months when Maggie died of TB at a very young age. George wrote the poem and the melody was added a couple of years later by a James Austin Butterfield.I love this song as I’m married to a Maggie for the last 44 years. We met at 17 which was the same age that Maggie Clark met her future husband George Johnson.
Gee Wizz... My mum also loved this song.. & sung it daily Methinks the 3 of them are singing it together in heaven.. What beautiful harmony ... Peggy Wood
My Mother Maggie, Love Her More Than Words Can Say, I first bought this single in Smithfield, when I heard it playing on a Saturday Afternoon, , God Bless, I was a Lad and my Maggie still Living , xoxo
What a wonderful voice God give you Tony. I am listening to you now, while I am in isolation from this evil Corona Virus, like many more people. Foster and Allen bring so much joy. Thank you and God Bless you. Nr. Ireland.
This was played recently at our neighbor's funeral Margaret's funeral was not just a moment of loss, but a celebration of the life she lived and the legacy she leaves behind. As we reflect on her impact, we hold dear the memories wrapped in melodies, knowing that she will always be a part of our hearts, just like that beautiful piece of music that filled the room one last time, echoing her love and spirit. Thank you, Margaret, for everything. You will be missed dearly, but your music will forever play in our hearts.
This was my Nana;s favourite song and she would sing it every day. Brings back such beautiful memories of her sweet voice and the love she gave to us. Her Mother was born in Ireland and came alone to Australia in the Potato Famine when she was 17. I have her little teapot and cup and saucer which are around 150 years old.
I dedicate this song to my gran Lillian... Who after loosing my grandfather has been my savior in life. A true example of kindness and compassion in a world of hate... She was born in 1932 she is the best.
