If you're wondering why the Chris Titus Windows Utility didn't do anything when pressing the "Desktop" button, it is because of a bug in a recent release. If Microsoft Edge was left installed, it will fail to remove it correctly and leave a ghost icon in the start menu. This is not standard behavior and I expect it will be fixed soon.

A low end PC can definitely handle mica! It is like an upgraded version of acryllic blur from previous versions, it looks better and doesnt affect performance at all
Be sure to make a restore point before installing rectify. Because there is no other way to uninstall it except restoring your whole system. Also my browser started opening tabs with spam ads right after startup. It stopped only after system restore, so I wouldn't recommend installing any of the software that alters your system in such a significant way

Hey Dan! I totally recommend creating an SMB share on your network and putting your files on there. Saves you a lot of time when messing with Windows, VMs and when you reinstall Windows a lot.
For every edition of Windows, there have always been customizable third-party apps and tools to transform the appearance or functionality of the OS. I have been doing this ever since Windows 3.1. Each time I customized Windows the functionality and aesthetics of the OS improved dramatically. Does MS care what we want? Did the company ever listen to its customers? Sometimes, but in most cases, it did not. MS always does what MS thinks is best. Many times, though, it's not for the best (Millennium, Win 8, etc). It has always been up to the end user to discover what's out there and do all the work to transform the OS into the product it should have been in the first place. Thank you for bringing this information to us.
One thing I don't like about the Windows 11 Start Menu is that even if turn off recommended items at the bottom, it still leaves that blank space with the word recommendation

They took the seconds out of the taskbar because it raises the amount of CPU cycles considerably, also if you have variable refresh like freesync or gsync, it has to update once a second instead of once every few seconds
Atlas OS is releasing v0.3 soon which I'm really excited for. It should be able to support security updates, but no feature updates. It also enables the security features that were originally removed.

With LTSC IoT, you get 10 years. For example, Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 (most likely the last version of that based on Windows 10) will be supported until early 2032.

hey... for anyone who doesnt know or has start 10, it works just fine. theres no need to buy the new one if you dont want to. microschaft used to have many of these customizations themselves and have slowly removed their cool and what used to ne standar features over the years. remember scrolling through what type font that you wanted before settling on papyrus or comic sans? or customizing every single panel to your liking? these features were basically things like windowblinds and startXX. I still keep a folder of all of the lost fonts and even the screensavers. I put them into every new system just for fun since screen burn doesnt really matter anymore theyre just for looking cool like milkdrop visualizer.

All customizations comes with a price that's for sure. That will affect your idle cpu and ram usage. You could also get random ads (depends on your source of said tools) In short, customize with care. I wouldn't recommend this on gamers though. It will affect your gaming performance for sure.
1 You can still remove the themes and mfe manually but apparently it's hard. 2 Only mfe and gadgets running in the background, so I think any pc could run it.
The true is - windws Start in version 7/8/10 look awful. Only Windows 11 version looks sexy. So changing menu Start into older version is pure stupidity.

wow i5-4460 my first gaming pc had that cpu and its not even got min requirements for windows 11 lol i did this same thing to get windows 11 lol great video
tested by me, experience = cpy idle at 32% ram at 69%, have an nvme m.2 ssd and it took 2min to boot without fast start up and with fast start up, it took surprisingly more than 2min with my cpu fan cranking at medium speed-high speed. Thank you I have a ryzen 5 5600H gpu 1650ti

You can create a Shortcut of the "Stuff" Folder on your Desktop and then change the icon. You can also put the Shortcut in your Taskbar. I also have a "Delete" folder where I put in stuff that I want to delete soon.

I use AtlasOS for gaming. Zero apps or stuff installed except for Steam and games. For everything else I use Arch BTW.
