Looks pretty cool, I’m glad it’s coming out on console. It seems like it’s torn between arcade and hardcore, I feel like they should pick one or the other or they will turn off both player bases.
I'm pretty excited stod. As a dmz player I'm ready for something different. Excited for the economy and the loot side of it. I hope it's great.
The “hero” aspects is what turns me off the most

I would be happy to pay for a good FPS multiplayer game instead of F2P which results in them doing some elements that diminish the game experience.

@vladone666lol I still remember seeing the 2042 beta back in July 2021 and remembering how shocked and disappointed I was to see a white boy grapple from roof to roof and everyone looking the same. I hope July 2025 next summer the beta for the next battlefield will be more military with a much more serious tone to it.

Biggest thing for me, the abilities, not being able to fight at extraction, and armor alerts when shooting operators (i.e blue plate, purple plate, etc.)

Agreed 100 % , i'd like to add more easily distinguishable bots from players , but yeah , the freakin abilities need to go
@@BushWookie603 I honestly rather fights at the extract, or at least an animation you see of players leaving rather than disappearing out of existence, it would make the game feel more alive.

I already miss the spreading gas and final exfil situations. Fighting for the exfil chopper is the most intense experience in DMZ.
Was so fun when the blades didn't kill you in earlier seasons
i was probably one of the 10 people that actually liked that MW2 (2022), I didn't play the game since i stopped playing on PS3 (Black Ops 1). so i didnt really care much about the complaints of movement and the overall slow feel, which i kinda liked compared to the really quick feel everyone else generally likes.. DMZ was pretty fun for sure especially with randoms, it was chill just hoppin in and finishing the quests. wish they didnt drop a new game every 3 months . i woulda kept playing... feel like Delta Force might be the sweet spot for me... lets see!
DMZ the most fun exill game out there, but the masses don't understand the game mode!

Yea I would really hate over powered "Hero" abilities in extraction shooter games. That is the single reason I absolutely hate any games like Overwatch, Apex, etc. I hate hero abilities and I think if the Delta Force devs wants to follow DMZ/Tarkov style of extraction shooter, they really should get rid of these OP abilities. And regarding different power level of ammos, this just begs pay to win elements and even if they do not choose to go that route, just as Stodeh said in the video, it will just complicate the game unnecessarily
Couldn't agree more. It feels like they're trying to have a foot in both camps with the FPS and hero abilities. I also wonder if it's a way they can monetise it - pay to unlock characters faster / upgrade things. If so they're gonna be doomed from the start. Casual players tend to be on console as they don't have time to grind games anymore, then we're told that we have to pay the total value of the game again to unlock stuff, no thanks.

Sounds like a skill issue, abilities in apex legends make every fight unique and strategic.
Good vid Stodeh, I agree with your concerns. I feel that being the only extraction game available on console (besides DMZ) almost forces them into the casual category. They should tone down the abilities if that's the case. As you say there will quickly become a PVP meta and people will lose interest. I think it's a good thing that it is slightly more complex than COD regarding looting/stashes, making each raid feel important.
What are the maps like? It looked like there were a few to choose from, or was that just POI's across the map?
Overall it looks like it has good bones, hopefully, things become a bit clearer at the alpha!

DF1 was in a league of it's own when it came out, really was ground breaking.

For the hero abilitys, they could make it that it's a one-time use. For the med gun it could be limited to 5ish rounds. This would help balance them so you can only is it once around.

A way of hijacking the extraction (a la Division) would be a fantastic feature and give a bit of tension when extracting
This actually looks super promising
Finding out about this was pretty surprising since I played DF1, DF2 and the original Black Hawk Down back in the day, this looks promising and slightly different from the other extraction shooters in the market right now. I just hope the Hero abilities aren't broken and that the different tiers of ammo don't end up becoming a P2W mechanic, though if it's free to play microtransactions are to be expected.
One small detail that I like is that the Helmet and Body Armor actually display on your character when you put them on.

I'm looking forward to this, I come from more than a decade of CoD so having something new is always welcome and since most of my friends play on consoles, this might just be the perfect thing

Feels like DMZ which is amazing. Should take more elements from it; varied bosses, final extracts with intense pvp.
Different maps will have their own bosses
Looking forward to seeing the alpha test, hopefully they work on the exfils and tone down the abilities.

it would be nice to fight at extraction point, that was always emotional. i hope its on xbox also as i cant play, i would like to be able to make camos with things i find, leaves, aligator leather, different metal shades or materials, lots of elements from dmz basically, lots of udpdates to stories so it is worth the time. gun stations to modify parts to weapons etc, night time and daytime map depending on time your going into the game to name a few

I think for the extraction, looter mode they need to remove the abilities but for the other modes like deathmatch etc I don't mind having the abilities.

from the UI u can tell its made from the same devs as Arena breakout...i cant wait!

i think the abilities will be a issues in the future. Like what u said ,they must make the abillities have longer cooldown/reuse ...or may be have a limit. like can be used 2 times in each macth. so sweat will not abuse it . and ...i hope there s no SBMM in this game.

I'm 92% sure I'll never play any extraction or battle royal game mode, except to test a bit if I find a few pals. But the game itself does seem interesting. Will look how it will turn out.

I loved DMZ when they were updating it. Hopefully we get more DMZ in a future COD title
I think that they had to stop updating DMZ to give MWZ a chance. After the backlash from the larger zombies community MWZ will likely largely die out. I think in the next CoD or two(probably Warzone) they will resurrect DMZ? They cannot miss the popularity of the extraction shooter. Just my thoughts.
Will probably be in the next infinity ward cod they can't deny it's success and it has more concurrent players than zombies does rn
Some of the most intense moments in DMZ were in the extractions. The extraction in this game is pretty vanilla from what I observed of your game play. Game does look awesome though.
I agree that the abilities and ammo/armour grading are gonna cause issues. Otherwise this looks like it could be a winner.
I hope the aiming time will be shorter.
I think the bodies disappearing is because it is the Chinese version, not the Global, China demands games to have no gore, so blood is green and bodies disappear, also zero skull iconography.

It took some inspiration from The Cycle with the persistent server, players enter and extract constantly on the map, I don't like that extracting is just standing in a point till extract animation pops, it doesn't feel right, to be honest, I'd rather the helicopter actually appearing on the horizon and coming down than just extract points you stay until timer.
I think bodys should not dissapear at all. Would make fights more intense and tactile.

Looks good! Not too hardcore. The only part that may be "too hardcore" is the one life mechanic.
I like the abilities changes up the gameplay loop and keeps the game from being bought dlc gun metas and dolphin diving with broke movements. LIKE COD...
i wish it leaned more into the hardcore extration shooter it seems to easy for someone who knows how to play games like this they need to change the ttk and the fact it shows when you broke someones armor i wish it was more like arena breakout or tarkov

So i only have one thing i want to know. Will we be able to find weapon attachments and parts in loot stashes. That's the only thing i care about. Because i want to have more than just armor ammo and weapons to be discovered. The thing that made Tarkov cool was the the fact you had to find more than just weapons in the map to build your stash.

I think variable ammo types introduces a level of tedious complexity and loot management that all extraction shooters seem to love. Losing a fight simply because your ammo does less damage is unrewarding.
I think it would be ok if the ammo types provided benefits against AI only or buffed certain characteristics (velocity, bullet pen, movement reduction on hit) just not outright damage.
I think the higher quality armour system is a genre staple but your gun should always do a consistent amount of damage to your enemy.

I love that they're punishing COD for forgetting about DMZ. I hope this mode succeeds! I HATE the slow looting in other games so I'm happy this more like DMZ. I also think they need to stay casual for it to last. MOST people don't like a hardcore mode. DMZ was so good because anyone could jump in, learn, and play.
As far as the armor thing, I definitely think they only need like 3 types or have a visual thingy that shows when you're using a weaker ammo.
