Here is how I have installed a winch on our RZR XP 4 1000. It’s not the best way but it is a quick way that works. If you are thinking about a winch for your RZR or your Side by Side. For the money there is no better winch to use! This winch has been amazing on our RZR. I would only install another Badlands winch on our next machine! Thanks for watching, glad it helped! I’m not positive on the lower doors. They came with the rzr when we bought it. They look like super atv lowers

Very well actually, it’s been through lots of mud and water. Still pulls as strong as the day I got it

The plate was my concern? Do you know if the badlands winch plate fit the rzr?
No it doesn't, you have to order one on Amazon about $42 for the Mounting plate. Got the 3500 Badland winch at harbor freight 20% off coupon $108 out the door.

what size trailer is that
It’s a 6x12. The 4 seat xp1000 is 12 feet long on stock size tires, so it just my fits almost touching front and the gate.
Have you had to use the winch yet? Was looking at getting one but I am torn between the 3500 and 4500.
Yeah I have had to use it a few times, never to pull me out. but to pull other things out and It has worked great
Did you have to extend your power wire going to the battery?
Yeah I believe I made my own power to the battery, that way I didn’t extend or add wire and kept it one solid piece of wire. To prevent points of corrosion
I ran power to this distribution block instead of battery and it’s just clicking also the white wire from remote says to hook up to ground not the power on instructions it clicks either way for me

@@Diluted_Knowledge I have the same winch, installed in and worked great for a few weeks. Then I went to an atv park, unloaded and my battery was dead. Jumped it with my car then rode the rest of afternoon until we got stuck. Tried to use the winch but only got a clicking noise. Got home and charged the battery to 100% then tried the winch again and only got clicking in the solenoid. IDK if its a bad solenoid or something else? Im going through each connection today to see if I can find out something but I do have a 2 year warranty for the winch but It was a pain to install, so uninstall just to get another one, then install that for it to possibly do the same thing as last time...... any advice or recommendations? Thanks, great video
