    I have the same razor you have and I’m getting ready to install the same winch actually mines 4000 pound reading from Harbor freight and I watched her video twice and I’m going to make the effort to do this but everyone’s telling me to bring the winch through the driver side and remove the shock

      Hey buddy, I received the same information and I think both will work. My advice would be to do it the way you feel is best. Let us know how it goes!

    Wanted to see you actually installing the winch

      What does it matter? If you are going to install the winch, this video is more than enough to help you do so yourself. :)

    Run a length of wire directly to the battery or you will not have full capacity of your winch it will also kill the engine under load. I know from my own experience

    Can you show a close up of it with the front put all back together?

    • @RZRDREAMS
      @RZRDREAMS  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately no; however, I will tell you that the front does go all back together as originally designed. When you look at it from the front it looks 100% stock.

    No, I’ve got the same winch as you and it won’t go in. It’s hitting the radiator mount and it won’t go forward enough to put the bolts through the razor plate. What did you do because it’s not in this video how did you mount the winch?

      Hey buddy, do you want to setup a phone call so I can give you some consulting? Also, I just removed the 3,500 lb winch and replaced it with a 5,000! Please send me your contact information to rzrdreams@gmail.com and we'll set something up. I'd be glad to help you!

    Hey buddy, I live in Illinois and I watched a video like three times and I’ve done the best I could to try to get this went installed in my Polaris razor turbo S velocity and I am having nothing but troubles the winch is in place currently but it’s currently hitting the fan shroud I’m not quite sure what I’m going to do to get it to go anymore further forward them I can right now I sent you a message earlier. I don’t know how to get in touch with you personally you’re pretty knowledged about all the stuff I just don’t have a clue what I’m doing wrong, I have a harbor freight winch like yours but I think mines 4000 pounds not 3500 but I went to Harbor freight and check the size comparison and there’s very little to no difference

    Lot easier to move the shock out the way on driver side

      Really? Wow, that is good to know. I can see us upgrading this winch in the future so that is something we'll keep in mind. Thank you!

      @@RZRDREAMS ya went through same thing & you can fit hb 5k in there as well! Just unbolt the bottom of shock and zip tie it up out the way & makes job alot easier

    Curious why you choose to mount it internally instead of with a bumper? Maybe it's because you don't want a bumper, if so, curious why you choose no-bumper?

    • @RZRDREAMS
      @RZRDREAMS  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Brian, your assumption is exactly right. This RZR has the ability to climb steep grades with a negative degree approach so we didn't want to impede that ability. Also, we believe the front design is badass and did not want cover it with a bumper. Additionally, in our experience, you don't need a front bumper--they're useless unless you''re reckless. We have taken our units from AZ, CO, NM, NC, VA, to all other parts of the country and have never once needed a front bumper.
      Furthermore, you learn very quickly your limitations of placing one of these 4-seaters in a toy hauler. As it sits, this unit is exactly 12' 6" from the foremost front end (tires) to the rear (tires) at mid-level. 9/10 toy haulers on the market do not have the garage space to handle this length so adding a front bumper can push you out to around 13' and that's just way too long.
      Finally, we paid $168 with taxes for this modest winch. It came with all the wiring too. All we needed to buy was a rocker switch for the front dash. The RZR has the mounting plate so we now have a capable unit at a low price. I hope this answers all your questions. Feel free to let us know what you think!

      @@RZRDREAMS I agree, I also want to keep the front end stock look as much as possible. I guess there’s nothing we can do to retain the stock cover where the fairlead now goes. That painted piece looks sharp too.
