Absolute classic heritage bike with modern engineering . If hipsters like this , then they have taste .

Congratulations on the new bike! Quick question: could you measure the clutch cable length (of the entire inner cable) of your thruxton? I'm having a hard time finding a clutch cable for my bonneville SE that is shorter than the stock 48 inches, because I recently changed the handlebars. Nice channel!

43.5" long. Might be too short for super-bike bars, but will probably work for clip-ons/café-bars.

Thanks for the quick response! I fitted renthal ultra low handlebars so it might be just too short

Agree ECU on aircooled Thruxton are not locked but the new water cooled Triumphs are locked. I have a 2009 Thruxton and I have run four different exhausts, each having advantages and disadvantages. Mine has been modified extensively engine wise gradually moving from 55 rwhp to 85 rwhp. These bikes respond well to traditional hot rod tuning, conversely my Thruxton R really doesn't, it requires a more extensive massaging to move the horsepower needle if you are into such things.

Just bought a thruxton 900 for my first bike. 4700 bucks, green and gold, 2014, 2000 miles on it. Little bit of corrosion and rust, easy fix.. I wanna eliminate my fender with something like an nrc but 220 bucks for LEDs and a plate is insane. Suggestions?

Make one yourself! Just bend up some aluminum or steel and paint it and bolt it to the back of the bike. I have a video on building a custom LED tail light, and another on modifying the British Customs one sold for the Thruxton 900, might give you some ideas! th-cam.com/video/2cUoHdwPgDE/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/hDEigEWa4Cw/w-d-xo.html

You sound a little like me. I just bought a 2005 bonneville t100. . The girl who owned it before me put several nice things on it. All the covers are chromed. She put out bound slasher slip on s ,on it, sounds bad as hell. Not a ding on it, for 20,000 on the clock, it runs and looks great. My first Triumph. Came from a Yamaha VMAX, 94. So am down sizing some. But haven't riden in 6 years, so probably as well. She put a lotta British stuff on it. Tank cover. Actually fits tank like a glove, but it's the onion jack. A brake lid chrome with flag engraved in the metal Union jack crankcase cover. Aluminum polished, looks really nice. I am looking for a center stand now. It won't take a rear swing arm lift, pipes are lower than swing arm so generic ones don't work.
Anyway, you reminded me of all my thoughts, though your video was years ago. Hope your project got done the way u wanted, take care.

I did until I was t-boned on it. Was my 2nd favorite bike after my 06' VFR800. I also had a Triumph Tiger 955i... my first 'big' bike.. lol.

    I had a '75 RD350B. I kept it for 6yrs. I bought My first, of 3 BMWs- BEFORE I sold My RD.
    I had 3 Triumphs. I had a Mountain Cub, in '72. I had a '68 T100 R.
I bought a NEW Hinckley Bonneville in 2001.
I'm currently without 2 Wheels. Maybe a used Bonneville ? Maybe a USED Scout.

That's awesome! I had an RD400 for a little while that was a straight up screamer.

Hey you still have the tail tidy I'll buy it from you ? And other stuff you may not need . That's a cool looking bike. I have the older 2006 model and I hooked up a VATA7 backpack to it. Safety first..lol.

No! Not pipe wrap! Nothing screams slovenliness like pipe wrap! It’s the sweat pants of motorsports.

The Thruxton doesn't look the best when standard. I mean, look at that awful back end!!
