Yes, Alll Data has the labor time for every single part you're thinking of replacing. Parts prices are going to be what they are, but as far as the labor, you can simply ask to see what the All Data time is for the repair and multiply it by the dealer rate of where you are at, plus the price of the part and that should give you an accurate qoute. At least you know you are not being scammed.
If a shop make you pay a diagnostic fee on top of a repair, that shop is a rip-off. A lot of shops would jus only charge u the repair, taxes and fees. If u fix it right then.
@@TheYotaChannel bedside if I need a get a big job done like an alternator. I would normally ask at list price wise at my local Toyota dealership. And go to the surrounding area at shops and get quotes. I usually go back to the dealership. Cuz they usually price in the middle. And I know they will double charge me for the part for warranty reasons.

You are correct! Usually, the diagnostic fee, if you do the job, goes towards the repair itself.
