    Great job on the build. Outside the interior of these cars, they hardly look like a 20 year old car from the outside. $17k is reasonable considering that the same money might get you a 11-14 5.0. You got a instant weight advantage over any of the newer cars, looks, and mod for mod will stay out ahead of those newer cars.
    One of my dream builds would be a Coyote Swapped 99-04 Saleen in silver. It might not happen anytime soon but I do have an engineless 95 Cobra that will likely see a Cammed Cobra Jet manifold FBO E85 Coyote swap.
    Congrats on the build 👍 You all are really starting to make these swaps seen as straightforward and somewhat as easy as the 4 cylinder to 5.0 H.O. swap.

    Very informative and congrats!
    I have a 99 GT that is a true 35th anniversary special edition in performance red. I’ve owned it since 2005 and it’s my baby. I didn’t start moding until about 2014. I went with a Kenne Bell 2.1 10lbs of boost complete intercooled kit with their upgrades. I’ve put a lot into the suspension with good components, wheels and tires (drag radials out back), shifter + clutch + flywheel, cat back exhaust, etc. with a good tune. Stock motor, stock trans, and stock rear end with factory gears, still have factory cats and manifolds...130k miles. Actually surprised the weak links like trans and differential haven’t broke yet, but I’m meticulous on maintenance. It holds its own against the newest models that are mostly stock. I must be around $10k-11k on it so far in performance parts. Way more than that with the new pro paint job and all the miscellaneous stuff. I haven’t added it all up.
    Since I have the Kenne Bell I’m kinda invested now on the 2v. In the next year I plan to replace the motor with a MMR forged short block, MHS stage 2 PI heads and blower cams, headers and full off road exhaust, beefed up T45, 31 spline diff and axles with 3.73 gears, and crank the boost up to 14 lbs.
    I probably should have went Coyote. They were still fairly new when I got a supercharger for the 2v. Ahh well. Speed costs money however you go about it.

    • @xJD2Vx
      @xJD2Vx  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s sounds like one clean 2v man . And it’s never to late to switch to a yote platform but either way a built/boosted 2v is always special . Thanks for watching man I really appreciate and also thanks for the comment 🤘🏼

    • @JNAMOTORSPORTS
      @JNAMOTORSPORTS 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Part your shit out, your wasting a lot of money now. Just do forged rods and pistons, up the boost, and a blower cams. You wanting to port the head and all this other shit is a few extra thousand for not much of a gain

    • @Matt_Moore
      @Matt_Moore 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@JNAMOTORSPORTS 2+ year later update. Still got the Mustang. I’ve had it for a long time & plan to keep it for life. I only drive it on fair weather days when I feel like it. Never did those upgrades. Still running strong on stock 2v with exhaust, Kenne Bell 2.1 full kit with the big bore intake, full suspension kit, and some other goodies. 2Vs are hard to kill. I’m going to keep it like it is until it needs a rebuild, and then do forged internals. Ported heads would make a substantial difference and be the bottle neck in power with more boost, but it is indeed expensive. Hard to believe now in 2024 that car is now officially a classic.

Complete 13" Cobra Brakes and Hubs 235Xt55rX 17" Tires 355 gears Aluminum driveshaft, 2 1/2" Exhaust with 2020 GT Mustang mufflers. relocation of battery in the trunk. replace seats with 2019 Mustang GT Seats. $3000 just for engine swap without all the other component,
      I guess in order to have a real stimate it has to know how many hours of labor will take for everything times dollars per hour the shop will charge and you will have an around price. So if you want to do it right you are talking over $20k if you don’t have the garage, tools and skills to do it yourself.
      At that point as might as well you buy an used 2015 -2017 gt without the headaches. Don’t get me wrong having a new edge with a Gen2 engine is awesome considering it weight less.

    Thanks for getting back to me. They told me possibly 175 front and 150 rear but that I’d need to weighed front of the car, since it’s an engine swap to know for sure.. I didn’t want to just purchase them and then have issues… do those numbers ring a bell by chance.

    • @xJD2Vx
      @xJD2Vx  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think 175 maybe man but it was so long ago I forgot but definitely I got a 12” because I used to have the 14” spring and it was just bottoming out for the ride height I liked so if you want the car on the lower side 12” would be perfect

    I spent 7k on a full 03 cobra swap in 2006 and goes as follows I bought a crashed 03 cobra for 8k and sold the irs for 1k. Now as for mods I spent $500 on bbk full length headers. $80 on 2.8 used pulley. $100 on used k&n cold air and $200 for used Diablo tuner. For anyone looking to do a swap I'll sell the whole car for 10k. It needsthe rearend rebuilt and a throw out bearing replaced. It's a 99 rust free car.
