  • The 1Zpresso X Pro is such a great all-purpose grinder. This video shows you its workflow and performance for espresso. (Yes, it is excellent for espresso!)
    00:25 Grind Speed
    00:52 Puck Prep
    01:29 Espresso Shot
02:17 Shot Test with Different Grind Settings
With 12 microns per step and the external adjustment, it's so easy to dial in. I pulled three shots with settings at 4.7, 4.8, and 4.9. All the shots were good, without very sharp sourness or astringency. As shown in the video, one step doesn't change the flow rate significantly, allowing me to fine-tune my shot. The setting at 4.9 produced the best shot, smooth and sweet, tasting better than what I’d get from the DF64v. I really enjoy the shots from the X Pro.
The grinder feels very premium, and the external adjustment is super convenient for switching between brewing methods or dialing in espresso. It's easy to grip with its smaller diameter, though it takes a bit longer to grind compared to other grinders with larger burrs. (About 1 minute and 10 seconds for 16.8 grams)
If you don't mind grinding manually, this grinder works better than many entry-level electric grinders and is great for pour-over too.

Thanks for the comment. The coffee machine is Lelit Bianca, a dual boiler machine with flow control.

I have the same grinder for Turkish coffee and v60. Do you like this grinder for espresso? I want to buy handle espresso machine - flair pro 2.

Yes, it adjusts by 12.5 microns per step, which is great for espresso, but it takes a bit longer to grind compared to my other grinders, so I don't use it often. I have no problem dialing it in with my espresso machine, so I think it will also work well with the Flair.

    xpro vs r3 better?

It's hard to say which one is better than the other, but here are some main differences to consider: X Pro (40mm burr, 12.5 microns/step) vs R3 (48mm burr, 16 microns/step), X-Pro adjusts smaller step for espresso, but R3 grinds faster. They both have external adjustment dial, R3 has additional sifters for pour over. Hope this helps.
