    🛑READ THIS BEFORE COMMENTING 👇
    1. Keep Russia/politics out of it. Stick to discussing cars, even if you disagree.
    As soon as I've eased out on the warnings and upfront disclaimers, people seem to have thought it's ok to bash Russian origin of my translations and bring in some kind of other vibes into my comments that have something to do with Russia's current unfavourable political image in the World.
    Please stop it, stick to discussing cars. I'll ban people without any warning and we'll all miss out on your wisdom. Don't make me do it, we'll all miss you (not really lol).
    2. Yes, Chery cars *HAVE* improved over the past 2 years - this translated material *IS* 2 years old. But they are still not high enough quality for me to pretend that $40K+ AUD is an acceptable price for a vehicle like this in our market. 🤷‍♀
    3. More translations are coming, whether YOU PERSONALLY like it or not. Many others do. And I think these foreign videos contain something our English-speaking echo chamber of same-same reviewers don't.
    Have something else to say? You don't have to agree, as I keep saying, just don't be an absolutist d1ck about it.

    Well, I just bought the new 2024 Tiggo 7 pro. I have a friend who owns one too with 40k on the clock. No issues like what you’re describing… Before this, I owned a VW sedan 2023 model Life. The 1st year one of the wheel baring’s needed to be replaced. 2nd 1 month after the EPC light came on and the car stalled and couldn’t go above 1500rpm. They couldn’t find the fault and needed to replace the computer box. 1 werk after that the discbreaks needed to be replaced and then I decided to sell. All these problems you’re referring to, is it only this vehicle or are there multiple owners that has the same problems? Also, the rubber marks on the inside of the doors, same thing with VW. Every production car company out there tries to spare a buck. The reason why the Chinese can get more out of their vehicles, is that most of their production happens “in house”. And cheap labour obviously. Same as cars that were made in India. Which was the case with my VW. With all due respect, we don’t know how many times you’ve driven gravel roads. 😂 Anyway, these days most cars have their faults and nothing will ever be perfect. Here in South Africa we’re crushing numbers and we need vehicles like this for a good price. 😊 But non of this is applicable if you plan to stade in after 2-3 years. ✌️

      I'm not describing anything. I'm translating what the owner said about this particular vehicle. Watch the video, listen to what I'm saying, then try and defend your purchase.

    Chinese manufacturers produce two kinds of cars .
    - home consumption
    - export consumption
    The export is of a better quality to be able to compete with Europeans cars and the standard demanded by the overseas buyers .
    Home consumption cars have a life expectancy as stated by the manufacturer ( most) of max of 5 years .
    I think cars sent to Russia is as per home consumption quality, cheaply made .

    • @ValueCarsAU
      @ValueCarsAU  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's possible mate, but we are guessing here. I simply present the facts that the foreign "trailblazers" are sharing. Would I personally trust the brand that produces low quality product for overseas export? Probably not. AND there are great examples of companies that don't do that - such as GWM. This is a point for idiots who say I bash Chinese cars. There's Chinese and there's Chinese.

      @@ValueCarsAU GWM is a good brand . When I say Chinese manufacturing has two levels of production ,I know so as been reading articles from overseas people that live in China and they also say , life span of cars there made not to last over 5 years

      This saying usually means that you got something cheaply, and it turned out to be crap. Here, we're dealing with a 40,000+ AUD car. It's not "you get what you pay for". It's expensive.

  • @hloxyman9346
    @hloxyman9346 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Honestly, Chery is for those who are buying into a product which we know it's not at the standard of hardcore offroaders like Toyota and others. I also notice that's not an AWD but it looks like the driver is from camp, there's no off-road mode in that car. Chery only promised a family SUV anyways. I bought the car and prepared to take it to the dealership to be fixed under warranty cover every year, if needs be. That's what I bought

    • @ValueCarsAU
      @ValueCarsAU  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think this particular example must have been a car assembled at a Chery plant in Russia, to lower standards. I don't think this owner was using it for purposes much different from what the SUV is advertised for, but overall, clearly it didn't leave up to their expectations.

    Can you explain: Tiggo 7 is of poor quality, why are Chery’s sales increasing in the Russian market? The price is getting more and more expensive? The total sales volume of the tiggo, exeed, omoda, arrizo, and jetour brands affiliated to Chery Automobile Group ranks first in Russia. Any sane person knows that everything you tell is a lie. At the same time, I give you a piece of advice: don’t make random comments about Chinese brands that you don’t understand. This will only make you more naive and ignorant.

    • @ValueCarsAU
      @ValueCarsAU  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Hello, happy to explain. Sales on the Russian market are increasing due to 2 reasons:
      1 - sanctions against the other brands/by the other countries.
      2 - there is *some* increase of quality and the range of the offering. Leading brand there is Geely, that combines quality and the right price combination. Followed by GWM. That combines quality and the right price combination.
      I'll give you a piece of advice, since you were kind enough to give me yours. Don't make random comments about Russian market when you a). don't speak Russian and don't understand the context, and b). when you work or somehow are interested in promotion of Chery brand.
      It makes you look more naive, ignorant and financially interested in selling an inferior product on our market in AU. Take feedback and criticism from the REAL OWNERS with some grace. It'll do you good.

    I think you are doing a disservice to Chery here, you can't use one person's opinion as the truth, a better way is to get reviews from many owners and get an average of people's opinions and experiences. In South Africa here you have hundreds of owners, some of whom have had this car for more than a year. His experience could be an anomaly. There is also the issue of Climate differences.. cold climates vs warm climates. This is the danger of a single story.

    • @ValueCarsAU
      @ValueCarsAU  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      A disservice? Do you think I work for them or something? I review and translate whatever resonates with me. I also published A LOT of videos about Chery vehicles, some praising, some revealing flaws. Not sure what you expected from a non-sponsored channel that doesn't have overlords.
