Nintendo's recent games have implemented it really well in compression to the wii era making it on by default but still leaving it optional for ppl to turn it off, but the games i think that do it really well are the zeldas games and splatoon where you're still using the right stick to aim but use the gyro to auto correct allowing you to be fast and precise, which is basically how i play doom
I have beaten DE on Ultra nightmare on both pc and console ;) But what gyro does for me is i am still using the right stick to move and aim but I'm using the motion controls to auto correct and be more precise kinda like how aiming works in BOTW or splatoon
It takes time to get used to but the skill celing for gyro aim is way higher, making tiny corrections is so much easier when you're able to make more granular inputs

Oh, yea and just remembered XD, I used to play without aim assist on PS4/5 but once I went back to it after playing on PC at 120fps+ i couldn't aim to save my life!!! Maybe if got a better TV with a better refresh rate I can access that 120fps mode on PS5 ill turn it back off, the PC footage without the gyro doesn't even have aim assist!
Should note i m very rusty for the consoles ver of DE so my gameplay might not be the best showcase of the game on console at 60fps
More FPS need gyro, such a good and fun way to aim. Most modern controllers have gyros anyway

By now we should all know that gyro is objectively, the most reliable way to aim with a controller, not adding it is absurd
