I have followed you for many years in Eastern Europe and now in America and I have learned many things from your videos. The greatest blessing I receive is your "Glow" for Jesus and your sharing God's word. God bless you always!
Story time... my s/o is an injured Afghanistan vet and i use to drive semi. We made friends with the local amish, of all people lol!!! They've been a huge blessing to our family of 7 in both kindness, and wisdom. In just the same way, we've been able to bless them when they've needed it too. It's simple, in all things be kind, treat others as you want to be treated, and try to understand.
A terrible storm knocked down a huge pine tree here in east Texas a couple of months ago. I had just learned about Mugolio and took the opportunity to harvest all the small green cones. My batch is setting up nicely! I'm about 6 weeks out. Thanks for the video clarification!
"Respectfully" You ARE the doppelganger of a young Raquel Welch!!! Striking!!!!! Thank you for this amazing recipe and information! I'm 62 and never heard of this!!! God Bless You and your loved ones!!!!
I’m back to update you on my Mugolio following your recipe... It’s delicious! I used a large pickle jar to collect and mix my pine cones with the brown sugar. I let it sit for 45 days and finished processing it this evening. Initially (45 days ago) I thought I’d have a lot of syrup. I only netted 24 oz but it is delicious. Next year I’ll increase my batch so that I can give some away. Lol… I’m keeping this batch for myself. Thank you for being a blessing and a bright light in this dark world. May Yah bless you! ❤️
Oh wonderful!! I am so glad you made some. Yes, I will likely increase the size of my batches in the futures as well. Thank you for your encouragement. God bless you too!
I had to come back here and let you know that I waited ALL winter last year until early spring here in Wisconsin to make this recipe. I started it in June 2024 and let it sit in my pantry until today, one month later. Oh, my stars this is amazing! I now wish I had made more!!! Next early spring, I am harvesting more to make more and will let it sit for 6 months to taste the difference. My neighbor loves it too. What a wonderful taste and it's thick like honey. This is going to become a staple in my pantry. God Bless you dearly for sharing this recipe and how to do it in such easy-to-understand instructions.
My family (in Romania) makes the syrup and sends it to us sometimes. We use it mostly for cough. But also mixed with some mineral water (or the soda stream) to make a yummy drink out of it. I will have to ask about the in ground storage, but I wouldn’t be surprised it was something our grandparents did. Thank for this.
I ask God every night to make me a blessing in someone's like the next day. Thanks for this recipe. It's August so will be a long time till pinecones, but I'm definitely going yo try for this. God bless🥰🥰
@PREPSTEADERS Thank you. I enjoy your videos so much. I've saved many and shared them with friends. I pray for rain for Texas. Where I am, none for 20 days!! This oppressive heat is awful. I've been sick with " heat sick ess" for the last week. We know it's man made!! God will punish!! God bless you, Christa🥰🥰💖🙏🙏
Ha! There always seems to be elements of your videos that pop out uniquely! My brother-in-law is Romanian and lives with me (and my sister and nephew), they are always bringing home Romanian delicacies, I'll have to ask him about the year long process! Many look forward to this Prepsteader knowledge, many look forward to the Christ-like kindness shown by you Christa, and many of us, myself included, especially look forward to both! God bless you!!!
You are so beautiful and Thank you for your beautiful recipe. We live in SC and up until now, I didn’t even think of harvesting pinecones for anything but Christmas decor, hahah! The Revelation scripture you read was what I was praying to the LORD yesterday on behalf of people I care about. I asked Him to mister and give me wisdom through these dark days on earth, and you literally just read the scripture I quoted to HIM. I ❤Jesus! GOD is so GOOD!
This was surprising and amazing! God is so good. Wish I'd known about this years ago when I was surrounded by pine trees :) Thank you for sharing. And that Scripture was something I needed to be reminded of, thank You Jesus :)
I am so glad and fortunate to have purchased some of your syrup in Columbia. It is delicious! Loved the little honey stick as well. Have a little left. Glad to be able to make it myself next year. Thank you for the recipe!
I am 71 and I wish I found this in the spring! We have a lot of pine trees but the cones are all squirrel ready now, but come spring...I'll be out there getting the green pinecones!! Great video!!! Thankyou! I knew who you were just by your countenance! You confirmed it at the end!! Thankyou for that particular reading from scripture. I really needed that today. Stand Tall, Stay Strong, Keep the Unwavering Faith!!
I learned about flour mills from you many years ago, and I finally got one nine months ago. What a difference in my digestive health since I starting baking with fresh milled flour, and get the whole goodness of the grain.
Lovely! We do have a pine tree that we planted after our youngest left for college in 1999. Today, it's a huge tree, and I always wondered what to do with the cones! Mahalo, for sharing! Always a gift! 🙏🏼🕊🤙🏽🌺
In Estonia we use spruce new growth same way. You pick the young green new growths in spring time and place them in jar with sugar. It gives nice clear syrup The greens are used in salads as well. They are really soft and taste good. Some remove the spikes. Or you can just nibble them when taking a walk in forest. Spring vitamins :)
That sounds delicious! Next spring when the cones are going I will make this. Thank you so much for all that you share. I love your channel and you as the hostess.
Growing up we had a huge White Pine tree as tall as our house, as a child I never realized it had so many culinary & medicinal uses. I climbed it once and became covered with sticky sap which was nearly impossible to get off, this cured me of my desire to climb any more pine trees 😁. I have some Blue Spruce nearby & will try to make syrup next spring!
I’m out of season, but I’ll wait and watch like a hawk!! I will wait until the Texas heat has ceased! You are such a blessing, sister!! To God be the glory!
Thank you for this! I live in Maine and we are the Pine Tree state! and I have never heard about pine cone syrup! Next spring I will be sure to gather new cones and try this!

I wonder how candy like the cone bits would be if one dehydrated them after processing the syrup? Crunchy? Sweet? Just a thought to " waste not, want not". BTW, wonderful video! Thank you, Christa!
Hey 👋🏽Christa, thank you for this informative video. The Holy Spirit spoke to me about making pine syrup and oil one day while I was driving on a country last month admiring God's beautiful pine trees. In GA they do a similar recipe for grape wine by burying the jars for up to 6 weeks. The grapes in GA are Muscadine and Scuppernongs. All you do is load a jar as you did with the pinecones and add a cup of sugar. White or brown works. I recommend raw cane sugar. Then cover and bury the jars. OH MY do they smell lovely. Heating after the 6 weeks isn't necessary because no sugar is left and simply strain thru cheese cloth. I am going to go searching for pine needles as soon as spring arrives. Thank you for this video. awesome !!!
Another wonderful recipe and time spent together. If I don't meet you on this side of Heaven, I know I will see you on the other side! I love that you are glowing for King Jesus. Bless you and keep those videos coming.
I'm going to try this your way. I made some last year but I simmered in sugar and water until the water evaporated. That was my first step. Then I stored the cones with the syrup in canning jars. It was great tasting. But I like your way better
Thank you so much for the sweet recipe and blessings to you for saying my absolute favorite scripture ever since I was a little girl! You are such a beautiful soul! God Bless You 🙏
I love your practical recipes and how to do things, however I can hardly wait for your scripture reading at each end. It has a certain timing and blessing each time. God bless you.
Wonderful instructions; thanks for sharing! I live near some of pine trees & want to look for some in the spring. Some people here make spruce tip syrup, so I think it would be similar. Blessings from Alberta, Canada, everyone 🤗💗🇨🇦
I agree, but told Debbie in another comment that after I strain them I usually "rinse" them in milk to clean them of the residual sugar and enjoy a delicious drink, and then just throw them out in the yard. They are hard and brown by the time they are expended and leached of their juices so I don't think they would be edible.
Great video I learned something thanks for sharing this I love to learn things about forgen for food.my grandma said that she used to eat planten.i also remember a lady fixed what she called spice wood tea.i tried it 😮. thanks for sharing your faith with us 🙏 may God bless you.have a blessed day 🙏
The heat breaks down vitamins, but allegedly so does metal. I raised my children in the 80s on homemade baby food, and was told by doctors not to grate fruits with metal and instead use plastic graters or glass, since when the fruit comes in contact with metal, it degrades the vitamins. It's also better to hand-cut vegetables (when you can) like spinach rather than cut it with metallic utensils, because of this. I knew this from my father also. I don't know if it's true or a wives tale, but I still practice this. I also don't stir fizzy Vitamin C with a metal spoon.

I have been making your citron tea for years. I highly recommend it works! Blessings
Thank you so much for the sweet recipe and blessings to you for saying my absolute favorite scripture ever since I was a little girl! You are such a beautiful soul! God Bless You 🙏
I’ve never heard of this before today. I’m super interested in trying it. I love this channel
Yay! My property is loaded with white pines. Can’t wait to try this in spring ❤
Wow! This is so interesting !
Now, all I need to do is wait til April ...
Thanks for sharing.
We love you in Albuquerque NM.
Thank you! Yes, in Albuquerque you are likely past the "green pine cone season" but I hope you'll try it in the Spring!
Be the light! Yes and amen. 🙏👑🙏
God’s blessings for you sister thank you for sharing we love you from South Georgia ps for all your family
Very professional job. You have definitely found your calling.
I am so excited i cant wait to try this. And i absolutely love you incorporate God in your video's!
Blessings from Alberta, Canada, everyone 🤗💗🇨🇦
amazing! great for campers!
I feel like to eat the pinecone pieces you take out the look very yummie 😋
I agree, but told Debbie in another comment that after I strain them I usually "rinse" them in milk to clean them of the residual sugar and enjoy a delicious drink, and then just throw them out in the yard. They are hard and brown by the time they are expended and leached of their juices so I don't think they would be edible.
I knew from the first few seconds your genuine spirit shines thru. Thank you for sharing.
This looks like a sweetener I should use in my homemade echinacea tea for winter colds.
Great video I learned something thanks for sharing this I love to learn things about forgen for food.my grandma said that she used to eat planten.i also remember a lady fixed what she called spice wood tea.i tried it 😮. thanks for sharing your faith with us 🙏 may God bless you.have a blessed day 🙏
I would love to make this. Where I live is rife with pine trees. However, the lowest branches are 30-40 feet from the ground and don't bend.
You are the most Beautiful soul ever!!!!
You are quite the wise gem! Greatly appreciate your intelligence.
Amen Sister!
Hello, Great video, I was wondering if you should press out the cones when you are straining. thanks John
So great! I planted Mugo pine trees 18 years ago. Can’t wait for spring! Thank you so much!
Thank you I have made syrup before but trying your recipe ❤
