but it IS his work. His daily work. 😅I mean, I totally agree with you. And also, this fishing channel is literally what he does full time now. That sorted out, now compose a fun saying that incorporates the philosophy of your quote into the idea of one being a daily, full time working fisherman and video creator.
Hey, I wanted to say thank you for pulling out the other camera on that one. That shot was worth missing him. We don't get to see what you're seeing until that point. It was exciting.
Fish Bites work wonders on the red fish. Sometimes I just throw one line out there and let it sit for them to find it while I cast another lure. More often then not the line with Fish Bites starts screaming before the one that I cast. :)
Hi Mark-try your fly rod with small shrimp pattern-the reds have been nailing them for me early and late evening. Stay safe in the heat my friend. Hitch
Great video, Mark, I really liked the sight fishing, and it did produce some really nice reds! Too bad your bail didn't fully engage on those flounder, that would have been a heck of a fire side story! Take care, be safe and stay cool. Anxiously awaiting your next video, oh by the way, your nature footage was spectacular!
Yep, bail spring broke. My Diana Gs10 had the same issue in 20s. I got it fixed in my 40s. Still use freshwater only. 40+ yr old reel. And it’s better than some of the new.
Great video Marc. I remember fishing a small salt lake off the intercostal canal near Sargent and when I eased off the canal, there were literally a hundred reds tailing the water! Me and my old Johnson silver sprite spoon layed into them that morning!! Good fishing to you and God bless!
Just got in from fishing the Kenai river in Alaska. Up the river was over a six foot tide change and on Cook sound sixteen to twenty two feet tide change.
I had the same issue last Saturday early morning. Nice reds crusing in a shallow water chasing little shrimps but I couldn't get any to take my bait :(.
I love topwater baits being a pond / small lakes fisherman as far as saltwater on Cape Cod if you want to catch big stripers my son is the man. As far as me I will be bobber fishing with shiners and then I take a nap and there is a fish on the line
I’m in the league city area and I was wondering if I can see your kayak? Had my eye on the old town auto pilot for awhile but they don’t have and in stores at the moment 😩
@@ETuss713 yeah been going to dicks literally almost on a daily basis but they don’t have that one in stock yet just the pdl one only but I’ll try the FTU see if they do have it, thanks though
When I walk too much and cast too little I see flounder taking off just like that. I fish the north side of Copano Bay more often than not you'll hook up with some flounder.
Normally I always close it manually. But in this case I was trying to hurry and bring my line back in to position the lure and didn’t have time to close it.
Mark repeat after me, A bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work.

I’d rather be fishing than bored at home 😂 🙌. Thanks for the support guys!!!
Mark repeat after me a little bit of oil goes a long way. 😂 Sorry buddy we all been there

Oh my God that fishing pole in your feet was making me anxious lol 😆

They’re pretty good 👍
What scent do you use?

Thanks for sharing!
You bet!

I seriously appreciate your full support! You always take note of the subtlest details, thanks Christine.

It’s worn out 😂
Sight casted a breaching flounder in Happ’s Cut in the land cut. Probably the most exciting catch, besides casting to redfish.
That’s the best rush of heart pounding adrenaline 🙌
Enjoy the sight cast catches!!! 🎯 🎣
Thanks 👍
Nice day!! I can’t wait to fix my kayak and get out there!
I can only imagine
@@MDLRFishing part for my kayak should be here today! Again thank you for showing me about fishing Galveston and the old town kayak!!
love how you caught that red tailing on camera.
🙌 thanks

Sounds like the good old days 🙌

That’s one heck of a tide change.
On the kenetic series, any info on reel seat, grips, or guides and rings? Are thesticking with a USA made blank?
I’ll ask
Fish bites on a wacky hook. 😎
🙌
Id love to pay you for a fishing trip out on the kayak🙏🏻
Maybe one day I’ll start actively guiding.
Good stuff!
Thanks!

Heartbreaking 😂
New subscriber…cool video…I like that net! Mine is too big and clunky
Thanks for the sub!
Which months do you catch sheepshead redfish and speckled trout😊
Redfish and trout are year round for me. Sheepshead is always by accident 😂.
What are you using as your shallow water anchor thru the scupper hole?
4’ fiberglass rod 3/4”
Aquí ya viendo el video saludos amigo excelente día
Thanks Marvin 👍
@MDLR - What size hook is that? It looks like about the same size I use for bass fishing and putting yammamoto worms on.. thx
2/0
Cool thx!
Do think adding a small split shot to the leader would hurt (spook the fish more)? That light of a bait is really hard for me to cast accurately.
It would give it more weight but the splash it makes when entering the water is what I worry about.
a Penn pursuit 4 would have never done that to you.
👍

Mark, What size wacky weedless hook 1/0?
2/0
When I walk too much and cast too little I see flounder taking off just like that. I fish the north side of Copano Bay more often than not you'll hook up with some flounder.
Those guys are almost impossible to see 😂
I have space in my freezer if you need to place your catch😂
😂🙌
That's some light line for reds. I guess if you have room you can get away with it. You wouldn't want to use that in the mangroves.
Yes, would be a different story if structure was in the picture 👍
No better fishing than kayak fishing, which state are you fishing in?
He is in Southeast Texas
Near Corpus Christi TX.
Galveston
Thank y’all for the responses
What kinda hooks are those being use with the fish bites?
Whacky Weedless
I'm going to ask a stupid question, but what kind of shoes are you kayaking in?
Ordinary Columbia PFG shoes
are you reeling to close that bale?
Normally I always close it manually. But in this case I was trying to hurry and bring my line back in to position the lure and didn’t have time to close it.
Are you just cutting strips out of fish bites or useing the fish bite strips
Strips
How are you rigging the fishbites
Just hooking them through the small end and casting weightless. How's y’all’s bite been?
Wow
