Glad you got it fixed. Great to know a way to fix it! I had something similar happen to me with my MA2 when I first got it. I landed with the gimbal hanging over my landing pad into the grass and on the next flight the gimbal got stuck and gave a warning. For me, it worked itself out after a minute. I believe some debris got into the gimbal from that less than stellar landing. Since then, I always hand-launch and hand-land to avoid any dirt, dust, or other debris from getting into the gimbal. That has worked out for me and I haven't had an issue since.
I've been using a launch pad for takeoff and landing ever since but it's kinda annoying having to bring it with me. I guess it's time to learn how to hand catch/take off.... thanks for watching my new channel!
A friend of mine started getting the same error as you. My drone is a year old and DJI says I've flown it over 1,500 minutes. I started to notice dust/dirt was beginning to collect in the area around the gimble and in the cooling vents. I used a little simple green and q-tips to clean out the gimble area and now routinely use my air compressor to blow air through the vents. The first time I did this I was surprised to see how much dust a dirt flew out of the drone via the gimble compartment. Using a mild stream of air doesn't seem to have hurt anything. Hopefully, my preventative maintenance will end okay.
Thank you for this simple, but probably more common than realized, solution to a little temporary problem that can be mistaken for a more major failure.
Yep. I’m bout to REALLY look at it right now..just wanted to check the ‘tubes first. I had noticed it on a ‘twilight” flight last night..a screen warning that didn’t affect any flying mode whatsoever. Tbh, as soon as I became aware, I just RTH’d it and landed. Thanks brother..
I was having Gimbal Motor Overloaded error. I tried to manually move the camera, as suggested in the video. That's when I found the packing foam on the back side which I was not aware was not part of the drone (first time flier). Silly me.
Goodevening (Above and Beyond) I had the same issue with my drone, mine had been experiencing issue's with Gimble motor overloaded error. I noticed before I saw the error show up, I noticed the gimble was slightly looking down and I was merging the camera upwards and saw the jumpy video as I tried to look forwards. Any idea?
Try using your hand to move the camera on the three different axis when it’s powered off. I could tell something was inside and it eventually worked it’s way out. You can also calibrate it and see if that helps.
I just crashed my dji air2s and feel like crap about it. The props were damaged but I easily replaced those, but the thing I’m worried about is the gimbal. Since the crash i noticed a slight tilt on the gimbal. Although I try to recalibrate it automatically, it doesn’t seem to fix the issue, only when I manually do it. Do u have any suggestions on how to fix this? Also sometimes I hear some noise from the gimbal, like a motor or something.
@@AboveandBeyondFilms hey good morning. Yeah I messed around with it, moving it left to right up and down. Turning it on and off (including take offs/landing) and it seems the noise went away. I’m in the San Diego area , I noticed you made a couple of videos down here. do u know any spots in SD that I could possibly take it over to look at?
Hey bud , just discovering your vids tonight as I get into my TH-cam debut with my new Air2s , great content ! I see you've just started uploading this year as well so I'm inspired 👍🏽 I've been babying my drone since I've gotten it so typically launch from a launch pad , but if i were to encounter this error ever.... would you recommend that canned air to blow out any dust or debris as an alternative? #Subscribed btw 💯🚁

I’m definitely using my landing pad a lot more now 👍

I’ve heard a lot of people saying not to use compressed air on them. Could possibly damage it.

Just doing my part to help out 👍

If the gimble is now making a strange noise it probably will need to be repaired. Sorry to hear about your crash 💥

Do you notice the tilt, when the drone is powered on

I’ve heard not to use canned air on drones. I would try to wiggle the like I did in the video.
Where can I buy signal lights like you?
Tks you.!

Thanks! also works in the Mavic Air2!!

Motor bearings (propeller, gimbal) and dust should not be mixed.
