    Settings for Normal:
    Pitch Speed: Low: 6 - 10
    Pitch smoothness: High: Android 20 - 25 iOS: 70 - 90
    Rotational Yaw Speed: Low: 20 - 50
    Yaw Smoothness: High: Android 20 - 25 iOS: 70 - 90
    Adjust accordingly for Sports Mode or Cine Mode!

      Totally agree. Many tutorials show cinematic videos but they didn't open their gimbal settings. But Ian teach us the most important thing of drone.

    Your tutorials and drone advice films are the clearest and most helpful I've come across on YT. Thanks.
    A small addendum though. Maybe the Mini 2 menus have been updated, but mine doesn't have "advanced Gimbal Settings", but the same controls can be found under "Gain & Expo Tuning". And Pitch is now called Gimbal. There's an additional control setting for "Expo" in Normal & Sport modes

    Thanks for a really simple explanation of these settings. I’ve only flown my Mini 2 a couple of times since I got it so I haven’t really had time to think about fine tuning the controls yet. I think I will start with your suggested settings as you’ve done the trial and error already for us!

    Single BEST Tip I've seen yet for a new flyer... the "jumpy" Gimbal has been driving me crazy since I bought this thing a month ago, so much so that I've been shooting more "still" photos! Not anymore... I'll be changing some settings tomorrow afternoon, thanks to you, Ian!!!

    Many thanks, Ian. For my rural purposes, the Mini 2 is the best drone I've ever purchased. It is very powerful and effective for such a small drone, completely meeting my needs in an agricultural setting. Thank you for the analysis of those settings.

    hi Ian I've just adjusted my mini 2 gimbal settings .ive gone from my mavic air so getting used to mini 2 .didnt have on cine speed seemed bit jerky video compared to the air which I've still got .thanks.great vids .the wind speed test was good.ive found the mini 2 still quite fast compared to my air

    Hi Ian can I ask a question ..I have a DJI mini 2 just registered and taken the the theory test not yet flown when you change any of the settings are they saved for future flights or do you need to set all the different settings each time you fly ..by the way love you channel and videos

      They're saved for future flights. Occasionally firmware updates reset things..👍🏻👍🏻

    Started playing around with these settings after my second flight. Thanks for explaining what each slider does in depth. I do tend to leave sport mode on stock settings as the only purpose I find for it is getting from a to b.

All videos I've been watched so far had nothing to do with digrees (15°/s), so I thought something was going wrong with the version of dji app I downloaded.     Truly helpful info! Stabilization can be really tricky. Mini 2 is a great drone and it sure is great to know how to get the best stabilization out of it.

      The Fly App adjusts and hides options not available. But it can do most things. 👍🏻

      There are only 3 modes to set: Normal, Sports & Cine. I just meant some basic settings to make thinsg smoother, but you set the settings for each of the modes...

      You have to stop video, swap to photo, then take it. You can't take a still whilst videoing...😕
