Pro tip. I number my batteries and log which battery I fly in my log. That way I can keep track of them and make sure I cycle through them.
Hey Tommy, I just ordered the propeller holder dealies for my new Air 2s, along with 3 of the green battery capper thingamabobs. Any idea when you'll have more red ones in stock? I would like to get 3 of those as well.
Do u recommend removing the wings everytime we finish flying the drone and we going to 0utvit away ..so the propeller dont get damage

Do have any recommendations for a hard shell/waterproof case for the DJI air 2s?
I like and have one of your lanyard holders. I do wish it clipped in a little more secure but I use it every time I fly with the new style controllers.
I've never had an issue with the lanyard holder, even when running or riding a bike with it, I have never had an issue with it being secure.
@@dudeandhisdrones Once the tablet or phone is installed it stays secure but before that the piece in the controller is not snapped in. Just kind of sits there and falls out easily. On your next design maybe you can add something to prevent that.

Just purchased a set of propeller protectors. Like the design compared to some of the others I've been shopping for. Especially because of them being a captive design and not putting pressure on the blades during storage.

How does the Firehouse strobe compare to the Lume Cube version, which has 3 mile visibility?

Just ordered prop holders and battery pins. I wanted to order mounts for the lights but couldn't tell or understand the difference between the two products you have for the A2S. Could you design a phone holder that can hold a larger screen iphone while in it's case? I have to remove the case on my phone everytime I fly, it's so annoying! Thanks just subbed

Have you tried editing with the newer M1 powered iPads? They can edit 4K footage easily?
I use one all the time, easily edits on Davinci Resolve

No but I do use Master Airscrew Propellers, they are the only 3rd party prop maker that I trust.
Thank you so much for this video. I never thought I would want a drone but while on vacation I was introduced to the 2S and am seriously thinking about getting one. One question that you may have covered elsewhere - What are your thoughts about the Smart Controller? I see you use phones and tablets with sun shields so my guess is that you have a reason to do so. Please enlighten me. Thanks in advance.
I went with the smart controller combo. I’m totally pleased with my decision.
The original controller will have a greater range than the smart controller.
@@MD-fw4ui Not true. I have both controllers and see no difference in range or signal strength. O2 works fine on the smart controller. Just make sure you orientate the antennas properly.

I always charge the batteries at least once a month, but the nice thing is they automatically discharge
I plan on getting in to the hobby soon , what and how did you get the I pad to work? I have an extra one laying around. Which drone do you recommend for best video and longest fly time ? I will be buying all my accessories from you. I’ve had someone royally screw me in an idea and now I’m left in the dark .
iPad you just download the app and connect it to the controller. Best drone depends on the requirements of the shoot, a Mini 2 could be fine or a 10k Sony Airpeak could be, I can’t tell you what the best one for you will be.
What Otterbox style phone case would you recommend where I can get the cable to the phone. I have a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, and the case for the charging port doesn't allow the port from the RC to get seat properly? Great video BTW.
Unfortunately I don't have a recommendation, I don't have ultra bulky phone cases, just a minimalist case on my iPhone

Do the leg mounts for the Air 2S need to be Arc II or the Dual? I don't see a specific leg mount for the Air II S that is Arc II specific. Please advise. I'm getting ready to order almost all of this stuff from you. Since you're still using the strobes from the Slimeball, I guess I will, too. Also, I don't see the Sandisk Extreme Plus that is gold and red like the one shown in the video. I'm brand new to this and I'd like to order the perfect stuff.

You hit the nail on the head with those prop holders. They will warp the props over time, and ruin them. That's the reason why I don't use them anymore. In fact, I stopped using. I got use to taking them off all together. I do like the ones you made. Thanks for the video
I honestly remove the props for storage, because when i put them on, i can inspect them for any damages or make 100% sure they will be mounted correctly.
Tommy, I’m a noob here and I want to order a few things from you. On the strobe lights, I’ve seen conflicting information. Green lights are said to go in the rear and red in the front. Then I see people have your setup green on right and red on left. I’m confused. Please clarify.

I do not make one for the 12.9" because I don't think the mount will work for that large and heavy a tablet.

No, they won't effect the video in this configuration

Nice stuff. Have you ever considered designing and selling terminal protectors for the air 2s charging hub and also for the charging brick terminals? Both are vulnerable to pin damage when you transport them. I’ve searched the internet for both of these and haven’t found anything.
So I used those on my Mavic 2 Pro, someone else designed them, but I rarely find myself actually using them. I do use them with my Skydio 2, but those are a lot cooler since I was able to incorporate magnets into the design, but the MA2 and A2S don't have magnets for me to use, and I wouldn't want them to mess with the internal compass.
Hi, 2 questions regarding the AIR2S
1) could you tell me why the batteries purchased separately are lower in mAh than those delivered with the drone? These are not the same references: R-410... instead of R-411...
Where to find the same 3750mAh batteries, because those sold individually are now only 3500mAh.
2) can we set in DJY fly a constant flight height / ground when there are unevenness, without the need to adjust by hand systemically, to keep the same flight height / ground and not the altitude constant?

A bit of a silly question: It appears that the prop holders that you demonstrated, the ones that don't bind, stress and press down on the props, but that merely contain and "capture" them, are the 3D printed holders, not the PGYTECH holders. Is that correct? I don't want to order the wrong set by mistake.

Are there any brand of prop holders that won’t scrape the paint off the body(particularly legs)? I have the sunnylife(anbee) from Amazon and it’s scraping body from the metal piece on the holder. This is very bad for resale value.
I'm not sure which one you are talking about, but the nature of small plastic parts that are captive is that they usually rub a little.

Probably the best option is something like this, www.thorsdroneworld.com/product-page/lifthor-baldur-for-dji-mavic-air-2 , it's expensive but worth it because it won't stress the antennas. The 12.9 iPad is just too large to use the antennas to mount it.
I was lucky when I got my air 2s as the website were giving away the other set of Nd filters (the super dark ones) along with a free 128gb Samsung SD card. Not bad tbh.

For those of us who have the Arc 2 or Arc 5 strobe lights for another drone and are planning to purchase the Air 2S, purchasing your mounts for the 2S would be ideal. You are not directly supporting that guy from Firehouse by designing the mount, and if you opt not to design mounts for both, you are hurting us. PLEASE support all of us who support you and go ahead and design what WE need. Your mounts are clearly the best!!!!

HELP ME PLEASE? When i record i record at 23.98fps on my Air 2S when i put it into my editor Powerdirector 365 it has the video property at 23.00fps which ends up making my footage shaky/jerky. When i do the same thing with my Mini2 it does not do this the video is 23.98fps.... This is driving me crazy can someone help me please?

It should, problem is you need a different kind of tablet holder like the Lifthor Baldur but it runs $80~ I don't think the one DJI makes will fit a 12"

Which firehouse strobe light are you using with you leg mounts. I recommend You keep designing the strobe light holders for the firehouse strobe light, because it is the best. Contact pilot institute, they also say firehouse has the best strobes. Maybe they would use your link to Eli you sale your mounts. A
Also the battery caps, they are big into safety. Tommy, I will be purchasing enough light mounts for 3 dji drones, and 6 of each color battery caps. Many of use will support your product, I will be referring you to many of my retired military friends who are into drone, word of mouth will improve your sale. I looked at Davinci Resolve and it does not work on my newly built gaming style computer (i9, 32gb, SSD) with Linux Mint. What does work, even on my older (i3, 16gb, HDD), is the free and opensource Shotcut for video and Rawtherapee for photos. For most hobbyists these two programs are plenty. Always good to have options; especially on a tighter budget.
There's no reason a newly built gaming computer won't run Resolve, must be a deeper issue, could even be a drivers issue.
@@dudeandhisdrones One would sure think so. I'm a retired IT tech (among other careers). DR does not play well with Linux. Older versions appear to work better. I have tried all the drivers available for my Nvidia 1050 GPU. Then there is the huge problem with opening simple mp4's in DR. They have to first be converted in a special format just for DR. It's just not worth the hassle at some point and I reached that point. FWIW; a lot of video editing programs don't work well with opensource OS's. I guess it's the nature of a money making business model vs a free and opensource model. I like Shotcut even though it isn't as robust as the pay editor programs. I'm not making blockbuster movies. I have considered running a dual boot system with Win10 but I'm not sure it's worth the hassle at this point when Shotcut and Rawtherapee work so well..
Ahhh it's running Linux, I'm not a big Unix/Linux guy, I had to learn some commands back when I was in the Navy as the IT guy on the Submarine. I run DR on my Windows 10 desktop, and on my MacBook Pro, both which run it pretty well, even though my desktop is running a 4+ year old Nvidia 1070ti. I'm impressed with my MBPs ability to edit, my only gripe is wanting to add additional screens like my desktop, I'm going to be editing more on it so I can get better at editing on the road when we are traveling.
I was trained on NLEs (non-linear editing programs) like Adobe Premiere and Final Cut, so going to Davinci Resolve is pretty easy for me, but they all have super steep learning curves. I don't mind paying for my software since I do make money on the channel(well not profit, but money), but I also enjoy some open source software so I can understand, but I like the software to work when I need it to!

I think I will add a drive to dual boot Linux and Windows. I've done it before but it has been a while. I don't need to do a lot of command line stuff. Linux Mint was made for Windows and Mac users in mind with a corresponding graphical user interface in mind for most things.

After over a year of testing no issues here and none reported from thousands of customers. It will certainly add weight but the air 2S can handle a lot of extra weight

I would go with the A2S, you can get any extras later, but you cant upgrade the camera later.
what are nd fillters?
Neutral Density Filters, they are like sunglasses for your drone in order to meet the 180° rule for videography.

My prefered screen on my Air2, is my Tab S5e LTE as you got all the bells and whistle with adjustable windows alongside full DeX implementation and a gorgeous 1600p AMOLED screen that peaks at 920nits
Its an 10.5" screen and extremely thin 5.5mm and 397g.. so ain't bad tad over 800g in total.
on the Air2 and above with that gorgeous 1080p DJI feed... it makes good sense to go for a big screen.. way easier to sense lightning, manage settings, focus etc etc..and these OLED screen, with a contrast that has gone to the moon, just execsl with that feed quality we are seeing from DJI.
that DJI pro remote or the Mini RC+ with its 5.5" IMO is simply too small and the screen does not look good.. a lot of LCD blooming and I generally prefer to have my screen above my sticks on an angle...
the only thing Im wondering about is if Im risking blocking the signal.. but do have an RF meter.. so guess I could check it.
I'm still waiting for my Mini 3 to come, I got the RC remote since its the only way to purchase right now, and might as well I already have 3 other RC N1 controllers for my Mavic 3, Air 2s and Mini 2.

You can use your regular charging cord for your iPad with a usb-c to lighting and don’t have to buy a new cord
Great battery pin covers but holy shit shipping is nuts. More then the price of a 10 piece set 5 of each color.
It’s the shipping we use, it should only cost like $4 to ship anything less than a pound so we refund any excess shipping and combine shipping if someone makes multiple orders and we catch it

If he's selling your design commercially you are owed a percentage of his sales.
So, you mentioned multiple times of your designs being copied and a license infringement. Why are you not copy righting? Is it not worth it so you just deal with the competitors coming in or?
it would require me to patent it, and after talking to a lawyer, its not worth it, it would cost 3x more than the money I make from selling them
Look at the flymore combo for Mini2.. its like 250 USD value for 189USD
Where Air2/s flymore combo was like +188USD and you got value of 524 USD.
The Mini3 flymore combo is shockingly poor value in regards to the previous Flymore norm.
Absolutely agree, I would probably recommend passing on the FMC with the Mini 3, never liked it when they ala carte the FMC like they did with the Mavic 2 Pro originally.

I disagree with everything you said here, sounds like a canned response in order to drum up something you want to sell to me, because my lighting is perfect, my composition is fine and I'm looking dead into the camera the whole time.
