The wave thing….. I’m 63 been on bikes since 13 years old, 50 years! If I’m on my Commando or Thruxton people wave back when I wave, I recently bought a lowrider S and when I do my usual wave 70-80 percent of riders either ignore me or look at me like I’m mental or I’m going to attack them….. oh well their problem not mine. Great content keep it up neibour (NZ)
I ride a Harley now but used to ride sportier bikes. The only thing I didn't like was when HD riders didn't wave back. As far as I'm concerned if you ride a bike, you are in my community. I have been waving to everyone on 2 wheels and will continue doing so. :)
Whenever a naysayer comes up to me and makes a negative comment about the brand of motorcycle I ride, my response is: "This is what my employer has provided me with to do my job". I don't bother telling them I am self-employed :)
I used to work in a bar about 50km away from home for about a year and I had a Prius at the time. During all that time, only 2 cars overtook me on my way back home… a Porsche and an M3. I’m like the Ghost Rider when I wanna be home, ….anything I ride becomes a beast! 😂😂😂😂 … humor aside. If there’s anything you wanna do on a sports bike that you can’t do on a Harley, you should probably go to a circuit. I tend to have a heavy foot and a happy wrist, but some things on public roads are just plain stupidity.
I use to say I would never own a Harley. Then when looking for a cruiser, went the the HD dealer to look at the bike I ended up buying - ‘21 Sport Glide in white. I still have my ‘18 Triumph Street Triple. I recently bought a ‘23 Triumph Tiger 850 Sport. I ride the Harley more than the others, but I have 3 different styles of bikes. Choices, choices, choices.
Great video mate.....keep up the great thought provoking topics. It seems us people riding the Harleys....aren't the ones with the issues! Just smile, say nothing and enjoy the ride! Keep the masses guessing on what they are missing out on! Ride safe mate 😎
Hahahahah, Yes Mate agreed all-points, and Full-Points Sir ! I am used to going to a Servo and some bloke says " I used to own a bike, I had to sell it to buy a House " I ask if they are Married ? and tell them best they sell their Missus, so Now they Can buy a bike again.. I campaigned a pair of Bonnevilles for 12 Years ( a '74 and a '78, so Left And Right gear-changes added to that Fun ), I bought my House in 1998 ( and a mortgage.. ) I approached the Bank in 2002 and said ' i need a Loan to Buy a Car' which was okayed no worries.. I paid 14 grand for a 1995 Dyna with 14,000 k's onnit..and Never Looked back ! the '78 Bonne is in my Loungeroom, and the '74 is in my Shed - ever since... Ride to Live !
Motorcycling isn’t just about specs or performance. It doesn’t matter if a bike isn’t the fastest or best handling. I love my Moto Guzzi V7 Special. There are a lot of bikes that out perform it in almost every way. I like the Guzzi because it is so low strung, easy going. It is “fast enough” it is “nimble enough” to really enjoy a nice leisurely ride. When I want to go “faster” and enjoy “more performance” I ride my BMW K1200GT. Even that will be out performed by other bikes. That doesn’t diminish the enjoyment I get from the unique character of each of those machines. If you think Harley has problems, don’t buy one, but don’t bash them either because their “problems” don’t matter to the people who love something about them.
Thanks for the video! You are so right I think it’s great that you put out a positive message and try to get people to help themselves we are what we eat and do I just retired from a job that was all stress and laptop work. I just traded the older RK I had for a 2017 Street Glide Black in color it’s the best bike I have ever ridden like you said making it your own is part of owning a Harley. Ride safe.
Thanks another Great video always enjoy your content. I ride Harley’s and don’t really care what others think or ride to each his own. Just don’t piss on me for loving cruisers people

I have a road king and an Indian pursuit. One for the city, one for the open highway. Fast enough to go over the speed limit and like sitting on the sofa.
I love Triumphs and Italians atm, but will one day come out of the closet and get a Harley if it's possible to build them to go around corners or buck you off at the slightest bump.

For many years I would sit in the Texas pubs talking about our sport bikes and how silly Harley bikes are...were. Until now. I'm now in the process of purchasing one to go next to my Ducati. Now I'm starting to understand this more than just a bike, it's a culture. I'm very excited. I never bothered to look beyond the surface. A co-worker from India would go on rides with me on his Aprilia and loved divebombing Harley riders on 2 lane country roads. He thought it was funny. Imagine blasting past a group of riders kicking up rocks and causing a dangerous situation as many of these riders had their wives riding with them. Most on their own bikes. When I came upon a group I would sit patiently in the back of the queue and after a few miles the group would go single file and I would pass and wave "thank you" as I went by. I eventually caught up to my friend from India and told him what he was doing is disrespectful. He looked confused until the group rolled into the same café parking lot. He wised up really quick.
Great video love the way you think you are a legend I could have an amazing conversation with you Shiny hat included God Bless you your a Ledgend I'm officially old and not dead I cracked the half century not long ago 😂
my 95 electra glide is def slow. it gets burned up by my 300 dirt bike. but there both stock and serve very different purposes. and with the stock brakes on the electra glide, i wouldnt even wanna go fast xD
I've been riding Harleys since 1996 and I get a lot more waves these days than I use to a few years ago. I'm now wondering, a few years ago I bought a Pan America - which doesn't look like a Harley, doesn't feel like a Harley, doesn't smell like a Harley, doesn't ride like a Harley and doesn't sound like a Harley. Go figure!
I’m a Harley guy my type is old custom shovel head bobbers or the dyna bro bikes currently on a fxdx but looking at Harley’s new bikes I must say I think going new I might have a identity change (since that’s all the rave these days) and become an Indian guy, I think Harley’s missing out with keeping that old school look in there new bikes and I feel Indians doing a better job of that when it comes to keeping some classic styling in there
Years ago I was AMA district 18 motocross #1 for 2 years, I road raced MCRA/WERA,for 2 years, managed 3 bike dearships, was U.S. Suzuli regional Manager, central region. I own 2 Harley's, one is Dyna tuned 1200 nightster and it is the fastest Harley I've ridden other than Dennis Gilmores 1979 Auto show winning drag bike...short story long...I'm a GEEZER now and I would challenge any Harley for a race at Gateway International Raceway against my KTM RC390GP...only 48 hp and 320 lbs...top speed 115mph. Gateway has a max top speed for Yoshimura GSX-R, of 100mph. My 390 only reaches 94 in that straight. That fireblade rider didn't spin his tire or lift the front wheel so he wasn't trying! That rat HD isn't a 13 second bike. Screw Valentino! Form follows function!
Used but not from a dealer ‼️bikes you shop around and stay a way from dealership will save 2are3 thousands dollars! Oh yea don’t expect to find one that your going to do to it to make her yours ‼️🙏🏻✝️🇺🇸❤️‼️
Do you have Indian motorcycles over there, waiting for a review from a die hard Harley rider, I heard that the reason Harley riders don’t wave is because there is so much vibration from the bike they don’t want to let go of the handle bar in fear of wiping out, haha😂
Harley Davidsons are slow. We have recently came back from the Daytona Bike Week, in which part of it involves the Daytona Speed Week, racing at the Daytona International Speedway. This included The King of the Baggers, racing Harley Davidson 131 cubic inch M8s, the qualifying top speed was 185 mph.
@OldNotDead-Club does now but not back in the day,but then you would have had to live the life back then to know ,it didn't include a large bank account
A guy who used to work for me confidently told me that every Harley-Davidson has at least one oil leak. I got a £10 note out of my wallet and said that if he can show me an oil leak on my 2011 Dyna he could keep the tenner, but if he couldn’t find one he would have to give me £10. Full of sh!t like most people when it comes to Harleys…
Oh! Aymon I have to rub it in a little bit. You say you have real bullet caps on your air valves. Well I have the bullet caps and the guns that shot em! Gday!
8 scare women children and small animals. It actually happened to me just got my bike, used and I pulled out of the drive way doing maybe 10 mph and a woman grabbed her dog and held it in her arms like I was sacrificing small animals lol
Nice video...but... It is undeniable that sport-bikes are more "fun" to ride with their quicker handling, effortless acceleration and incredible brakes. It is also undeniable that Harleys appeal to an older age group. And we baby-boomers are dying off. I'm 68, and if I'm being honest, I really don't know how much longer I'm going to want to ride. Also, Harley owners do have a perception of being a "club that you can't join." It's funny though - just buy a Harley and you are automatically in that club. It **is** a brotherhood. No other brand generates that kind of kinship and loyalty as H-D.
Thanks, don't know about undeniable? I started on sports bikes and got sick of them. Every now and again i buy one thinking it will make a pleasant change and that lasts about 2 days.
In response to what else do Harley riders do wrong: I wouldn't call it wrong but it is a little disturbing when I meet someone who has Harley shirt, wallet, key chain etc. - Harley everything on at the same time. It screams overcompensation and maybe a little cultish. get it - its a fashion thing - hell I even own a Harley t-shirt and I ride a Honda but when you dolling out huge amounts of money to be a walking billboard for anything - it kinda creeps me out.
Fun zone........rpm between high tq and high HP as shown on motorcycle treadmill Had a moderate powered crotch rocket, fun zone 9000-11500......9000 in third gear 85mph......30mph over speed limit == jail High tq on motorcycle treadmill is not what the engine puts out, its all about how low the transmission is geared......so even at 9000rpm it doesn't have the head throw back of an 883 running 3000rpm 2.... I have asked them if they have ever owned one, the answer is always "no way".....a guy I ride with is a BMW rider, actually anything but Harley, he trades in very often because by 5yo they start leaking(I found this out from my dealer when I was looking at a used BMW he was selling.......I also ride with my dealer).....I too have had 7 HD, currently own 4 and wish I had 2 of those back....both 883, don't want the ultra back 3 BMW riders seem to make more than Harley riders 4 waving.....well the crotch rocket riders don't wave because their backs aren't strong enough to hold them up without their arms....and they Harley riders for any brand cruiser.....they can't tell one from another, but that's ok I can't tell one crotch rocket from another 5 there's a lot of good people that don't ride Harley, I look at riders as riders not as what they ride 6 Harley's are too expensive, everything I buy cost too much, and every survey I always say so 7 most "upgrades" are not better than stock 8 huh? 9 well.,..HD is now a woke company, they like to preach brand loyalty but it's like their goal is to pissoff their customers, I've been looking at some Indians and used 1500cc Kawasaki touring, they got the stretched out tank and a comfortable ride unlike their 1700cc touring which is like HD touring In a few yrs I'll probably sell the Vrod and get an Indian
I ride a Yamaha cruiser. I ride alone most of the time. I always wave. I am almost always snubbed by the H-D cult. I don't care. Riding is not my life. My wife, family, cycling, running, swimming, sailing, hiking , climbing, reading, thinking... That's my life.
Been riding since 1974. At this point in my life. After four heart attacks. Two Widowmakers two killed me. Triple bypass surgery, and having stage 3 C.O.P.D. do you really think i care what you think about me and my Heritage Softail. Ride safe brothers and sisters. Enjoy every day. Because tomorrow is not guaranteed.

The old school Harley riders think their shit don't stink
It's because if they take there hand of the handlebar, the bike goes immediately into a death wobble.😁
A lot of truth, mixed with good humor. Great job!
Much appreciated! Thanks

@@robertholland7558 yes some firearms are allowed under certain circumstances
8 scare women children and small animals. It actually happened to me just got my bike, used and I pulled out of the drive way doing maybe 10 mph and a woman grabbed her dog and held it in her arms like I was sacrificing small animals lol

@@OldNotDead-Club what POTUS Biden said. We don’t understand any of it, but neither does Biden
How about a CEO that is interested in selling motorcycles rather than apparel.
😄
I wish I could afford a Harley.
I can, but there are better bikes that cost less available.
🥩👍
Great video mate ! 💪🏼✌️👍😎
Ah a fanboi. Who knew.
No I use android
Fun zone........rpm between high tq and high HP as shown on motorcycle treadmill
Had a moderate powered crotch rocket, fun zone 9000-11500......9000 in third gear 85mph......30mph over speed limit == jail
High tq on motorcycle treadmill is not what the engine puts out, its all about how low the transmission is geared......so even at 9000rpm it doesn't have the head throw back of an 883 running 3000rpm
2.... I have asked them if they have ever owned one, the answer is always "no way".....a guy I ride with is a BMW rider, actually anything but Harley, he trades in very often because by 5yo they start leaking(I found this out from my dealer when I was looking at a used BMW he was selling.......I also ride with my dealer).....I too have had 7 HD, currently own 4 and wish I had 2 of those back....both 883, don't want the ultra back
3 BMW riders seem to make more than Harley riders
4 waving.....well the crotch rocket riders don't wave because their backs aren't strong enough to hold them up without their arms....and they Harley riders for any brand cruiser.....they can't tell one from another, but that's ok I can't tell one crotch rocket from another
5 there's a lot of good people that don't ride Harley, I look at riders as riders not as what they ride
6 Harley's are too expensive, everything I buy cost too much, and every survey I always say so
7 most "upgrades" are not better than stock
8 huh?
9 well.,..HD is now a woke company, they like to preach brand loyalty but it's like their goal is to pissoff their customers, I've been looking at some Indians and used 1500cc Kawasaki touring, they got the stretched out tank and a comfortable ride unlike their 1700cc touring which is like HD touring
In a few yrs I'll probably sell the Vrod and get an Indian
if you want a fast Harley then buy a Buell.
Too slow? Oh please I've never had my 2024 Heritage in 6th gear!!!

OMG... laughed my ass off.

Thank you
Harley riders are the oldest riding demographic. When baby boomers are gone so is HD. Even HD acknowledge this. But I’m 60 and ride a HD.
Harley’s have problems? Duh!
