My perception of other riders is admiration. Everyone i meet on rides or at group events are there for a common cause, helping people or simply enjoyment of going on THAT ride with mates! Life is way too short to worry about whether someone is good or bad at something. If people are having a go at life, rather than criticizing their actions maybe a little encouragement might show others a different light....and people just need to respect each other for who we ALL are. Ride safe and enjoy! 😎

As I stated in another one of your videos Aymen, I wasn't set on a Harley when I started riding, I tried out several different types and brands of bikes and ultimately, the bike chose me. The moment I rode my '21 Sport Glide I knew that was the bike for me and at that point, I also became a part of the Harley community and never looked back. Since that time, I've attended meetings, charitable events, and rides that help children and others and genuinely strive to put a positive spin on the biker community in general. As for other Harley riders I've met in my experiences thus far, I've never met a more generous, laid back, nicer group of people. I can honestly say, the biker community in general has been a very positive experience for me and I wouldn't trade it for any other pastime that I've ever been a part of. I sincerely wish people would take the time to focus on individual people more than "groups." It's so easy to lump everyone into a particular group and write them off as bad, just because you've been told something or experienced something that wasn't entirely positive. In closing this subject, there are good and bad people everywhere- be slow to judge and let them prove who they are instead of letting any outward thing define them. I wish you all a wonderful and blessed day, thank you Aymen for the great videos and engaging discussions, they are always appreciated! :)

Interesting topic. I think when we're young, there's a bit of a desire to belong. Maybe it's just to not be singled out. As an adult, I don't think of myself as a biker, a steamfitter, a surfer, what have you. But I do identify as a husband, father, son, and brother. As an aside to people's perceptions regarding motorcyclists/bikers: I once met Sonny Barger. I was at a small event and did a little road guarding. At the event location, Mr. Barger was there with an entourage from Oakland. I walked up to a pledge and asked if I could meet Mr. Barger. He gave me a hard up and down and said, "Wait here." The pledge walked over to some patch holders and spoke with them briefly as they gave me a good looking over. He came back and after giving me a short biker decorum lesson, walked me up to Mr. Barger. I greeted him with respect and told him what a pleasure it was to meet him. He treated me with equal respect, though I was a complete stranger. We had a short visit and then I parted and let him enjoy the evening. I afford respect to others until they prove unworthy.

In my biking career of 44 years I've met and rode with all kinds of bikers. The conclusion I have came to is "there are assholes in every crowd." In general there seems to be a brotherhood amongst Harley riders nothing rivals. Definitely the good in the world.

I ride a shiny in your face Red Ducati Streetfighter V2. Saturday I went to a Biker Swap meet locally. It was ALL Harley guys there. I idled in on my Italian Cappuccino machine and parked with the rest and had a wonderful time checking out everyones rides and chatting it up with people. I never once heard anything negative about my bike and I clearly did not fit in with the Harley bikes. I love all bikes, someday I'll add a cruiser to my garage and it will be a Harley.

My grandson, at age six, very seriously, looked up from his book and said, “Papa, you’re almost my favorite person”. I grinned way too big, thinking, “this is funny,” and had to ask, “Why almost? I’m the no spank zone”. He said, “You’re a great guy and I love you; but, I think if we made you really angry, you could go off”. I smiled and had to turn around for a chuckle, went and told his mother and grandmother.
I’m a Harley rider. Some Harley riders wear Harley Davidson logo clothing, black, with skulls, and seem to ride in tight, loyal groups, with big proud labels across their back. Most are real world, a very few are mean. The mean guys seem to bring blame on all HD riders and indeed, “might go off”. Most are cream puff professionals, decent and kind, and will help the community.

It is said the black leather thing is from the old days of total loss oiling systems (40's and earlier) so the bikers pants wouldn't be soaked in oil.
That's allegedly also why bikers traditionally wear boots and not lace-up shoes.

Being Good, or being a good rider, regardless of brand of bike, comes from experience. Experience usually does or can come from being Bad. I expect young, inexperienced riders or "Squids" to possibly be bad on our motorways. But I encourage other riders in our ranks to self police, tell them of their wrongs, show them the correct or right way, and set them straight, because those types of riders give all of us, especially with the media here in the USA being so selective, a bad name. Sometimes it takes a really close call to straighten them out, sometimes they use all their luck or 9 lives of the cat, and end up statistics. As we say in America, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink. But at 64 and riding again, I'd say that retirement, having a good retirement plan, being able to have both the time and money to ride a HD pretty much means you must have done quite a few things right in your life to afford being in that position to ride one of the best cruiser bikes out there. And overall, society wise, that makes you good.

Hi....i know this vid went up a while back...however...thought I'd chip in.... i never wanted a motorbike but i did want a Harley just something about the sound..I live in the UK I stop for a broken down bike whether I'm in the car or on the bike, so does my son (also Harley rider). Sometimes I'll stop for cars but only old ones cos I dont understand modern stuff.....anyhow...a while back my son n I stopped for a broken down car on our bikes. Two adults and two young children....the children looked at us n smiled and started to walk towards the bikes....the parents pulled them back...we asked if they were ok n if they'd called anyone....they rather awkwardly said that recovery was on the way....i asked how long n they replied a couple of hours...i asked if they had drinks for the kids n they said no but said they'd be fine......anyhow we couldn't do much else n went back to the bikes...my son looked at me n said....guess we going for drinks then.....about 30 mins later we dropped off a bag of drinks n sweets to them....wished them luck n rode off.....we are judged by what we do..... PS.....my son now rides my Harley ironhead chop i built 43yrs ago along with his 883n n I've just finishe an 80s ironhead to go with the enfield gt650.....and yes they have names....lol... take it easy out there.....

I remember a bikers event in Ireland many years ago at a well-known bikers meeting spot and some dudes turning up with the Hells Angels insignia and logo riding Harley Davidsons and I believe some of them did actually represent Hells Angels I didn't enquire about it to them but even though they had tattoos, piercings and a look of "don't f*ck with me" they were the soundest and chilled people I ever met. One of them named Clive even let me test out his bike, which astonishingly didn't weigh or ride as I thought it would totally the opposite - it felt light and rode comfortably on the road, a perfect combination for a rider/biker in my opinion. You do get some bad eggs but you get them every where and like Aymen says if you look past the looks they are genuine people just out for a ride with their mates. I'm a biker through and through and I know politicians create more problems, I hate them more.

Like many, I've done some bad things as a young man. But, how are you going to find your limits unless you stretch your boundaries. Oh Oh...I'm a stretchin" "em now, no longer a Springer Heritage rider-ahem, ride a Vulcan 1600.
I pushed boundaries in my careers too-rodeo clown, building contractor and much worse too-then found my calling. Taught agriculture in juvenile probation-all the teens I worked with had horrible backrounds-they needed guidance from folks that understand how damaged souls of children affect their adult selves... now teach vocational carpentry in a jail-inmates often get union jobs upon release.
I've found-once you find yourself...many of us work even harder to reach out a hand to our brothers and sisters who need the help...'cause who's gonna do it...politicians, many in law enforcement, bureaucracy?
Are HD riders bad people? Often, they had to overcome life's obstacles and have come out on the side of working to make this world a better place!

Most Harley riders are just normal day to day people - but they are pretending to be slightly rebellious even if they’re not. It’s image over reality and Harley brings that out in people somehow, the desire to belong to and to be identified with a group by all having the same bikes and all dress the same. Agree with ability to ride thing but you do see a lot of Harley riders”paddling” around in car parks looking like they are on a kids balance bike. Mind you the same applies to the grey cladded BMW GS riders.

Being in my late 40’s, I’ve realized that most people will honestly never have any encounter with a 1%er. Due to how the movies & social media portrays certain lifestyles, many people are convinced that what they see online or at the movies is reality. I’ve seen many 1% clubs actually adopt highways to help keep them clean and in good condition, raise money to help people in need, and do charities to raise money for children, veterans, their communities and many other positive areas. Most people that have a negative perception about any area of motorcycle culture in most cases don’t even ride and have never ridden or owned a motorcycle; so they feed into this false propaganda created by one’s desiring control & fame nomatter who they negatively impact.

I don't much care either way. If I want to donate to charity, I can do it at the click of a mouse. I ride bikes for the enjoyment of riding bikes. I've owned or rented just about everything. I like my RK because it does what I want it to do and does it in comfort and does it reliably with ease of maintenance. I got nothing against the guys in vests who like to stand around talking, I'm just not one of them. I wouldn't fit in anyway in my plastic, hormone enhanced girly coat that doesn't get water logged and leave me soaking wet in a rain storm.
Perhaps if I stood around talking in a vest talking more often, I could just go inside when the weather changed? ;)

It’s fascinating the imagery around the Harley and comparison of the terminator 2 (awesome film awesome bike) and how Arney was thought to be “the bad guy” and yet underneath turned out to the good guy saviour.
Also interesting is how much were people attracted Harley because of the film or were people attracted to the film because if Harley. Now make that comparison between the Indian in Terminator 3. 🤔 so what happened there then? Are Indians just expensive wanna be copies? You love putting the cat amongst the pigeons, perhaps a good subject for a video? Although I guess we all know that Harleys are far superior in every way.
