It just needs the rear bumper to extend out beyound the wheels to absorb some of the impac instead of bending the living crap out of the wheels and yanking those rods out...

Don’t think my 1/5 scale petrols would even get one tyre of the deck, they are tad heavy, although very quick....
I ended up selling my erevo 2.0 because I was tired of the rod ends. And I tried everything. My favourite truck for stunting right now is my proline pro my 4x4. With all the upgrades done it’s one tough little truck and it flips like nothing. 👍 Great vid Kev👍

Buy RPM True Track A-Arms and be done with it. They remove the turnbuckles and lock your tow in place. You never mess with those links again.
RPM's site says they do not fit the Revo 2.0
Odd, I use 2.0 parts on my 1.0... I call it 1.5 :)

Every 4 wheel truck or buggy I've ever had I always bend drive shafts to the wheels, never bent a center shaft
Man those link threads looks like a Traxxas factory fuck up! I'd send them back. That's crazy that happened cuz the way the threads are cut on a lath lol I didn't think that was possible lol
The Redcat TR MT10 has been pretty durable after owning it for almost a year. I only broke one front A arm after crashing into a car wheel at full throttle on a 3s pack lol. I have put this truck trough hell and back without any major issues.

Check out if any RC racing company makes links that are long enough. They hold up and are easy to play around with if you need that extra grip.

Hey Kevin the 5sc flux has been discontinued for a couple of years and the 2200kv motor in it WILL die. I changed mine out with a 1717 out of an xo1 and it's lasted for years with tons of power.

I've asked Rpm about the protrac kit for the 2.0 revo and they saod they have no future plans for it so i sold my revo after hearing that
That’s a bit extreme. Especially since you can get the kit to work with a stepped bit making clearance for the larger bearings.
Those alloy links work really well I have it on my version 1 and I have ran them into curbs at full speed and they don't even bend so have at it love the videos man keep up the good work

parts availability must suck Arrma is where it is for that type of bashing still love the vids and working with whats easy to get replacement parts
I have an e revo 2.0 vxl and you can’t kill them the only things that break are the tires and the suspension rocker arms from over extending

what pinion gear setup is the e-revo> ? 24/54? do you use metal gear spur or plastic? castle pinion or stock traxxas 18/20 t >?

Hi Kevin, I'm looking to purchase a Traxxas car RC car. Used to race RC cars in the 80's (tamiaya Frog ect.) I would really like to purchase the car in kit form as I enjoy building them and I would learn a lot when it comes to repairs. Do they supply cars in kit format please.
Lol Kevin plants the truck on one corner and expects it to live. Tbh it did great you can simply screw it back together and probably keep going.
Hi Kev, First time comment here. Like you I used to work in the hobby, I was just thinking: Is it possible to use some 1/8 scale Truggy camber links to fix the revo toe link issue? They have a much more robust plastic sleeve area on the rod ends and use a shorter M5 metal link in the centre. Naturally you would have to use the suspension balls from the 1/8 as well, I think finding the 3mm hole size for the Revo bolts should not be a problem, biggest issue i can see is clearance for the links in the Revo hubs.
Thoughts?
I have the same revo, I had the same issue with the rear link breaking, the new links I got worked for me. Must of had a bad batch. I just blew out my spurs gear, I'm going with a 50 tooth metal spur gear
@kevintalbot I'm wondering if they are supposed to slide or shimey down the shaft and on to stay on ? Kind of like a anchor? No threads just grab a pliers and hammer and tap them in ? Just a thoughts

Get both, both are great! Only trouble spot is the rod ends on the rear links, as shown in this video. Get aluminum rod ends and be done with it. Or super glue them in.
You should put the RPM rod ends on the 7075 links u should be good once u do that
My revo still wont back flip. All stock with 2 venom 3s 5000 mah 50c. Not sure if I need a higher c rating or what but all it will do is wheelie on to it's back. Any advice is really appreciated. Great videos!
I feel ya I bought a losi drive it once and snapped it in half and now I have to wait a month because the chassis I need is out of stock everywhere of course lol.

I have the same setup as your friend with the x maxx 20-50 gearing and with the addition of trenchers the max5 esc hits thermal shut down now☹️
You can make a custom carbon fibre link for the erevo

They said there wasn't enough sales or interest...??? I'm pretty sure everyone who owns erevo version 2 would buy one lol. Not exactly sure what they're smoking over there.
What batteries do you use for the Traxxas E-Revo 2.0?
Kev, try to put an aluminium pipe over the standerd links so they won't bend that easy.
