i had an ECX AMP and that thing was awesome for tge 4 days we drove it then i crashed it into a dried up pond with a rock base and it started to sound like that so i never used it again because i didnt want it to catch on fire

what traxxas should do is create a custom bumper that "folds" like an arm and got shocks horizontaly attached to it. When the car takes a bad landing, the shocks on the bumper absorb it and you get to enjoy your fully undestructible xmaxx
I find it informative and entertaining, that you do this kind of "testing" and nobody else does this as excessive as you and your team and exploiting every weakness and showing also how tough and durable some rc cars are. but it hurts everytime seeing those nice, disirable and expensive rc cars being crushed and wasted
when you have thousands of people just pouring money into your pocket cause of youtube watch time then you pretty much can buy a few cars a week and just give the fans what they want im sure he wouldn't do that kind of testing if he had to work hard for his money like 90% of us do !!!!!
These cars are 100% repairable and he always repairs them. Also, he makes a lot of his money on ebay. The problem is that TH-cam is a gamble, you don't have a surefire chance of making millions. The ebay course works for most people that are willing to put the time into it.

I had some bad luck with my rustler 4x4 vxl. damn near overheating on 3s, bent shock-shafts, pulled out screws holding the shocks in place, popped off the shock caps with ease, broke driveshafts, broke wheel-hubs in both front and back. and had the wheel ball-bearings give up and i only drove it a about 6-7 hours in total maybe less. So what did i do to it? Well, i drove it on grass as i had a small grass hill to jump from. sent it less than 2 meters high and maybe 8 meters far and landed on grass. that popped the shock caps and broke a front driveshaft. Then i jumped a tree stump fairly slow, it went up about a meter and had a bad landing. that bent the shock-shaft on my gpm shocks i switched to and pulled a screw out. That was the first run with those shocks and they had way thicker shock-shafts than stock. once i was driving on tarmac and gently hit a curb at about half speed, it seemingly survive and then i let a friend drive it for a bit who hit a fence and that was the final straw for the front c-hub and hub-carrier. next run i broke a rear one. i upgraded to gpm driveshafts btw, they held up perfectly but took some shimming as they did bind a bit in the hub-carriers. i think i also damaged a ball-bearing on the side in the rear diff. i also had to buy fans for the esc and motor as well as a heatsink for the motor. got to drive it so little and it kept emptying my wallet like crazy in such a short amount of time. so i ended up selling it. I might get a 6s kraton next summer if i can get m2c parts shipped to sweden. haven't looked it up yet. or i might get something a bit smaller like a typhon. This hobby is expensive when you live on about 1070 euros a month. fml.

My son crashed his Maxx V2 head on full speed (on grass so prob 35mph? head on into my Maxx V2 which was going about 10mph. Mine survived with no damage he broke the lower half of his front bulkhead in two. He later crashed his full speed square into a concrete curb on pavement so probably 45mph or so. This time he only broke both the lower and upper front bulk head into multiple pieces snapped a toe link, cracked the front shock tower where the front bulkhead tiebar passes through, and cracked the bead of the tire off the rim. the mini maxx is amazingly tough.
Claire looks so happy even her xmaxx broken but im sure Kelvin will get a brand new for her. And i think we should thanks Kev for doing this sacrifice test,Without you Kev,we dont know what is the limit of the car.
