This just shows you. Doesn't matter if things are metal. They can still break. You can upgrade stuff to metal, but it will just put pressure on parts that aren't designed to take pressure. Would be good to see this rebuilt with all the bits you replaced next to it!
I mean, if it were Traxxas or Arrma plastic it probably would have been fine, metal isn't the best material for RCs. I think the main reason this one is metal is for the scale look.
Yeah, you do get carried away at times but you test them so we can enjoy watching and learning what's possible and what's not. Keep on keeping on Kev. 😊😊😊😊😊
I've been out of the RC game for close to 20 year's now. But watching your videos has really got me concerning getting back into it. Watching your videos definitely brings a much needed smile to my face. Thanks again
@@CptAngelKGaming no, the video was a warning to sensitive people. It warned that people might get triggered, maybe you should learn to understand grammar.
If you build an %100 all metal X-Maxx.....arms, link, chassis, bulkheads, etc you will have same issues with the same parts breaking also the Raminator is heavier and will naturally break more parts. Vitavon has %100 aluminum wide-max for sale at $4700 as a roller and its beautiful but it makes the Raminator look like a good deal at its price.
Awesome, it's like a 2004 throw back. We used to send our nitro savages off the 180 bmx berms (mid berm though) and get seconds of air time. Over and over and over again haha. Then head to the hobby shop and buy off the shelf repair parts to do it again next weekend. Usually only shock shafts or ends. Im blown away that a truck of this weight could do this, it's like your jumping a kids quad. Great vid
dear friend: beyond the always entertaining content that you produce, the frequency of new videos is simply masterful!!! I have a lot of respect for all the production work that you do. Kev works hard to entertain us. 💯
For everyone confused about tuning nitro , I won't tell you how to do it coz it's different for everyone. What I will tell you is how important it is to do a pass after every turn of screws. Your rc engine will actually run cooler when it's actually moving. If you just tune while it's stationary you will end up with a over rich mix coz your trying to cool engine. Just drive it on a rich mix and lean out after every pass.
I like to think that the people that watch this channel come to see the hi jinx that you get yourself into. So phooey to those that don't like the carnage. I mean I wouldn't do things they way you do, but it's because I'm old and can't really afford it anyway. The chassis, you can't escape physics. The Raminators are fantastic trucks to look at, and I'd guess out together, but coming down from height, all that weight catches up with the parts real quick. Fun vid as always.
Hey Kevin, I think you could make a frame rack and straighten it out like you would a normal car. It looks very fixable. Some things would need replacing. A little propane or map gas torch may help in the straightening. THINK POSITIVE....it's just simple metal manipulation! Come on, you can fix it!
The only thing I don't like about the Chanel is that you say all these rc cars can take a beating when they should not. But what make you happy is fine by me. As a side note, im not trying to be rude.😊😊😊👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
There is a guy i follow,Steve morris,he builds race engines for high performance drag cars. He always says the bigger, faster and more powerful something is the more maintenance that needs to be done. I know it sucks but these big trucks should probably be torn down and inspected every time or every other time out. If he had caught that it would have cost 10-20 bucks instead of how ever much to get all those parts replaced. Same thing just happened to me on my xmaxx, the rear pinion bearing failed and the pinion and diff gear both came out in 1000 pieces. Love seeing these big trucks go!
Kevin TALBOT Look into Lucas oil, oil stabilizer. U can run it in differentials up to 100% and 50-60% in transfer cases. Might want to try that on ur gear boxes and diffs. I’m not a rc guy but enjoy the content and I work on four wheelers and trucks here and there might be worth trying
This car is quite the testament to the reason why not many hobbyist RC cars are made at this scale, the awkward ratio of motor power to part durability isn't sustainable for consumers.
I was finally able to get waffel tickets, aand I'm happy to be able to support the channel with no expectation, but the possibility of gaining something.
For the size, weight, and cost of the Raminator it should be built MUCH stronger. Even when it's running properly it looks like a bunch of floppy linkage just barely holding it together. I would keep the motor, transmission, axles, shocks and design/make everything else.
Hi Kev! Just imagine that last jump "to the moon!!!". Take the height of it scaled up to the size of your real monster truck. It kind like jumping above a three-story building. There is no way it could survive. But it is your money and you're a big boy. So you do what you want. Plus, I enjoyed the video.
The clutch on that 70cc engine seems like it's really snappy to engage, I assume it's giving your driveline quite the shock loads, it's not the first time you've lost drive while just using it, no jumps or anything.
I pulled a mates car down because it stopped. His sump looked like that. His mrs hit a curb, holed the sump, and she drove it home.... pushing harder and harder as it got slower.... lol. BOOM.
Oh no! I sold a car to a friend once and told him he had to replace the radiator asap (cracked inlet). Well months later he hadn't replaced it and the inlet blew off when his girl was driving it on the highway, she kept driving it till it wouldn't move anymore. He asked if I wanted it back, I went to take a look and the engine got so hot it melted the timing belt cover! I didn't feel like swapping an engine so I said no.
@volvo09 women and cars, and even now days snowflakes and cars... dont mix. How are people so uneducated about life, but can name the kardashians and near genders... but cant THINK..?! I wasn't told about her driving over the traffic island. I actually thought timing belt. Car was on an angle on his sloped front lawn. I looked around, had a bad oil leak so i took the top off (rocker cover, easy) and then compression test. After that... as it was a Friday afternoon and mates were turning up, it was more of a competition to find the biggest chunk of metal, as I had already found the smashed alloy sump. Lol. We laughed hard, as he was as mechanical as a cup of water, but everyone else was crying with laughter as we got chunks, flakes, bits of things we attempted to identify through beer googles 🤪🤪😂😂😂😂😂😂 His girlfriend was mortified we were laughing at her fail. No sense of humour and went to her mothers. We all chipped together and got him another engine cheap. I cleaned everything up, welded the crankshaft from it to the flywheel, using that as a base plate, and the 2 camshafts support the glass top. He loves his coffee table.. !! Dunno where she is now. Lol. 👌
Kev, we use a company for anodising our heatsinks they do decorative black and hard black anodising. I've been told you won't machine the aluminium after hard anodising.
I love the extreme durability testing! Shows me what will happen without having to find out with my own car. And I get to live vicariously through an rc TH-camr
That was absolutely unbelievable 😂 I need something bad was going to happen when it came down on that left front tire sing the way to chassis design but believe it or not I think it would have damaged it less if it was just a little bit longer for some reason long wheelbase seem to do better on Long jumps but over 80 lb don't quote me on that all the Trucks I belte were 2 1/2 too 3 lb but that was intense. Kev How was the Monster Truck Nationals?
"The goal is never to destroy..." Yeah, you're not fooling anyone but yourself. I've never meant to break any bones either but I did a bunch of dangerous stuff without safety concerns, and what do you know, how could it have happened? I broke my bones!
Haha Kev you sent it to the moon! Would have been better if you had 4WD as you said you could have controlled it in the air and probably saved it. Looking forward to the rebuild video! 😂🇦🇺
Kev, don't care about what the haters say, your videos are made for pure entertainment, if something goes wrong, it's not unexpected. You don't have to make these warnings, I miss the old Kevin before the haters. Seeing you upset makes me upset. it looks like you got air in the shocks, you can drill a vent hole in the top and plug it. suspension could be better and absorb. you can see when the truck lands it bounces which tells me it could be a lot better.

The raminator is too large to be made out of plastic without breaking. Think about this. A real. car's frame isn't made out of plastic
@@OBS4ever16 not saying this should have plastic parts. Just saying the metal bars etc breaking don't mean it's indestructible.
The more you upgrade the harder you drive
@@OBS4ever16 Counter point: A real car isn't designed to survive heavy impacts, only to keep the occupants safe.
Cops probably thought it was some bike 😂
There's a dirt bike at the skate park!
Ok, it's a toy car...
Seems like a lot of Karens in the background, im sure somebody called about the noise. Main reason I went electric.
"It's gettin it now" is up there as one of my all time favourite phrases 😂
Same 😂
And waffle waffle waffle! 🧇

And he fixes them anyways, so it doesn't matter... It's not like he's throwing the car in the trash and buying a new one like some rich spoiled brat.

The more I see these trucks, the more I just see them break constantly, regardless of how hard you play with them.
