Very cool to see you at the Philippines in your tech videos. I’m kind of surprised that you were able to record when it’s dry though. If I recall correctly, this is the start of the rainy season in the Philippines.
Thank you so much. These reviews are helping my wife and I make a decision on an ISP for our Nieces and Nephews in Nueva Vizcaya. Converge is basically jerking the family around when it comes to providing service for them. If I may ask: What part of the Philippines did you install this?
Tailosive Tech in the Philippines? I didn't see that comming. It might be worth it to switch to satellite internet, considering that our PLDT connection often breaks due to wire related issues. Satellite internet might just fix that.
Awesome video Drew, and this is more definitely a awesome solution for the people over in the Philippines. That being said, I am surprised that the LTE speeds were so slow over there hopefully they get access to things like 5G for fixed wireless broadband as a solution as that will have more capacity than what Starlink can provide and be cheaper to utilize as well from a equipment standpoint
What do you mean by "they get access to things like 5G for fixed wireless broadband"? 5G and Fiber connections do exist in the Philippines. Starlink is only good for remote areas/provinces here in the Philippines with no 5G/fiber. Fiber is way faster than starlink.
My home has 500mb/s which is in the midrange price. Top price service is 1 tb/s +. Standard broadband is 300 mb/s. In the city has 5G already. Starlink would greatly benefit those outlying provincial areas or the scattered island communities since we have thousands of them, that haven't underwater cable connections. I believe local rural governments and rural public schools would greatly need these.
actually Fiber and 5G connections are exist here in the Philippines and most city already access it since it’s new release but the only problem, just like other control remote areas/Provinces don’t because of lacks of clients, here in my hometown we only access of Edge, but Sometimes if you find a right spot you find 4G as your connection and even a Fiber is not compatible in my hometown because it was said lacks of clients, that is why Satellite WIFI like Starlink is Good in Countryside like my hometown.
@chaoticheaven17 well yeah but if you dont live in a city there's no fiber... but I think people misunderstand what starlinkis designed for... it isn't made to replace existing internet providers... it's made for exactly what you said... people in remote areas. On reddit I've seen SO many people with access to fiber and cable and dsl complain about starlink...and I ask every single time.."if you have access to fiber or cable why would you even want starlink???" People who have access to other options and still jump on the band wagon are taking someone else's spot in my opinion.
I am okay with the speed. But how is it when it comes to stability? Theres a lot of Virtual assistants here in the Philippines in province areas. It would be a big help if you can give us your feedback about it. Really hard to decide to buy since it very expensive. 😢
So how has your Starlink internet connectivity been since you had it installed last month? Are you satisfied with its performance? I'm thinking of installing one soon, but i would like to hear all about your experience first.
Thanks for the great video. I saw your reference to download speeds in the video, but haven't seen any reference to upload speeds. Can you confirm your average upload speed as well as your average download speed these days? And can you also let me know if you have times when the performance drops well below your average speed?
WHAT. I'm Filipino and always watched you but never expected you to go here??? 😆 What the heck. So surreal just hearing you say Philippines. Can I meet you? 😂
So you can bring it with you when you go abroad like a trip to AUS? or anywhere else in the phil camping in the mountains? I thought they would cut their services if you move out of your residency
Hey man, that would be awesome as a backup plan, but with monthly payments, it doesn't really work as a backup plan. Here, you can get internet that's six times faster for half the price. However, in the province, they occasionally cut off the internet, which is why having a backup plan is necessary.
So what Happens when it rains or pollution grime accumulates on the dish since you are not supposed to touch the dish screen. Not looking to cause trouble just interested in the obvious. Thanks for the video..
Drew, thanks. I’m an American married and living in Davao. I’m considering getting Starlink. I realize it’s just streaming services for TV, but I have a question. I’m currently streaming Netflix and NFL Pass, along with other services like Starz, Amazon Prime, etc. However, due to media rights, ESPN, CBS, etc are blocked via hardwire internet services. I love college sports, but have zero access because they are not permitted. So, do the services like ESPN also block streaming via starlink? Or, is it the local streaming services who block access?
Hello, great video ! Where are you in the Philippines? I am in the southern end of Cebu province and am interested in putting in Starlink became the internet is not good here.
I can never get my green screen to look that good! What’s your secret? This time there is camera movement and you still look like you left your office, but we all know that wouldn’t happen.
hello canó, its funny that you make a video outside..and on your back is a Globe/Smart Tower... tell the details.. how much cost Starlink and if this work worldwide, always with you...
@TT, I have questions about something/s you did not cover. You said the prices are cheaper than what you would pay in the U.S. So here's the question. If ordered and shipped to the Philippines but paid using a U.S. bank debit card, does Star Link charge U.S or Philippine rates? My son plays Fortnite, Valorant, War Thunder, Minecraft just to name a few or other subscriptions. I have found that if I use my Navy Federal Credit Union debit card, I am charged more than Filipinos for the same thing. Also nice view. But might I suggest cutting down that tower for a better view? LOL

Greetings from the Philippines!! Up You’re number 1 fan here!
The speed you got is not bad for the price of the monthly subscription. I just hope it’ll get better in the future.
Pretty cool that you’re here during our Independence Day. Also the Starlink Sheep part made me laugh more than I should ngl lmao
Woah! You're in the PH! Welcome Drew!

What about the weather in the Philippines ?? How does StarLink handle bad weather conditions?
I’ve gotten over 200mbps in a hail storm! It can take it
@@TailosiveTech Amazing!
TY! Been looking for someone using StarLink in the Phillipines. Did you purchase the Starlink in the Phillipines or have one shipped to you?
Sir where did you buy starlink kit? Is your kit directly from America or u just have ordered it here in the Philippines?
Oh 😮 When did you arrive in the Philippines?
This is a pleasant surprise. Enjoy making videos in the Philippines.
Cool. So, did you notice if the speed slows down during maybe rainy days or cloudy days?
Drew, thanks. I’m an American married and living in Davao. I’m considering getting Starlink. I realize it’s just streaming services for TV, but I have a question. Okay thinking about buying this here in the PH. But needed to know how consistent the connection would be.
Was watching your later videos and I was wondering why your backgrounds look like you are in the Philippines. I guess this answers my question. lol
Woah! Kinda surprised to see you in the country.
It looks like it doesn't have an Ethernet port. Any chance we can use some device to enable us the capability of using Ethernet?
Nice they reduced the monthly cost, I heard before it was $100 per month here
Is the thing waterproof though?
Where in the Philippines being used, starlink? What is their reviews?
