I really like Beta Arceus's design as it gives off the impression that we can't experience Arceus's true form as an infinite being with our mortal eyes and does it for the safety of mankind but can only see it’s true form if you play the Azure Flute.
Would love to see something like this in the Diamond and Pearl Remakes Postgame!
I'm all on board with "retconning" arceus actual form as its contained/avatar form, and having its "real" celestial form be ethereal, unseeable, imperceptible like this.
Also they could take the chance to make it stronger again, kinda sad that the "god of all pokémon" is weaker stat wise than a giant hand out of nowhere.
You know how in ORAS Deoxys was promkted from a mythical to a legendary?
I would really love it if gamefreak did something similar with the many mythicals here, including Arceus, who has been long overdue for a special thing to make it a true god again

@@eduardosolistinoco9698 In game stats mean nothing. Gamefreak is more concerned with making a good boss battle depending on the pokemon. But eternatus is definitely up there in terms of power. I would be more upset about zacian and zamazenta being just as strong if we’re comparing base stats
What if this was its true form and it would be called something like Arceus Alpha but like the Roman symbol and it would not be catchable but you would still encounter it and I think that you should black out when you see its true form
I think they should've made Garchomp's shiny the beta colors, like an homage, instead of getting the lighter color treatment.. just a thought tho lol 😅

@Not a 12 year old ..wrong. or rather not exactly. they might've used some algorithm to automatically assign a new color palette, wich is why so many end up green or something.
But: They had absolute control over the color palette. At least in Gen2, every Pokémon had 2 sets of values for their color palette, normal and shiny. I assume sprites worked that way until Gen 5.
It stands to reason that some shinies were deliberately chosen, like Gyarados, who's shiny color is unlikely to have come from that algorithm (considering other blue shinies).
And some had their shinies reworked in future games (looking at you, Charizard)
So, they had control about it, but I guess most Pokémon didn't get special attention for their shinies to look nice

That Arceus would've worked SO much better since it doesn't have a incomprehensible, tangible body and looks like a simple yet scary being to us. Just like how one would imagine a primordial deity looking like. I wouldn't be suprised if we get something similar to that as an Origin/Primal Arceus.

I could see the Beta Garchomp becoming a regional variant, maybe even in the Crown Tundra DLC. I see it being a Ground/Fighting type.
Also based on Beta Hippowdon's design, I see it becoming a regional variant that's a Water type.
For Beta Lumineon, I see it being a Water/Fairy or Water/Dark type if it had a regional variant.

For Beta Darkrai, look at the "S" on the Japanese logo for The Rise of Darkrai ;) It uses Darkrai's beta design, it even has the eye and everything.
Yeah the sprites were made with a gba pallete and then upgraded by D/P sprite team.

The Lake Spirits kind of look like jellyfish, which makes sense since they live in lakes.
Ttar try doing a review on every region/ core games. You could also try having a wheel of extreme pokemon
487 actually looks like silvally, the chimera name also fits pretty well considering silvally is a chimera pokemon. Considering it's the same ven as Arceus' I wouldn't be suprised if they planned for ailvally back in this gen

Some of these sprites look like the spriters were bored or having fun
the thing on prinplup's head is a crown. Generally this evolution line represents royal blood. In piplups sprite, you can see a small crown upper the peck, prinplup is a prin-ce piplup and empoleon is the emperor. You can also see that the mons look like they were royal clothes.

also, theory that actual arceus is the shell for beta arceus, which has this shell to contain its godly powers

What a lot of these sprites reminded me of is the draw from memory challenge.
They need to bring back goruchu as aregional variant raichu
Garchomp would be a really cool alternate form. I wish they would have referenced it in the shiny. Abomasnow and especially snowver had much cooler beta designs and I would’ve loved them to be the final designs.
Something I just noticed is Kimairon and Giratina actually both have 6 legs so maybe this was what Giratina originally was but tbh I could actually see this as a future Pokemon later down the line

I also personally really like the idea that w can't comprehend Arceus form so it appears as like a ghost in the three dimensional world.
I'm pretty sure that lots of those sprites weren't made by actual sprit artists but maybe by programmers (thinking at stuff like rotom) or someone else after they got the artwork, and used them as placeholders until they spriting got down to make the actual final sprite (i'm thinking at some like monferno and snover/abomasnow that have the same features but just in a different style)
