Make this Liquid Soap Now! Is a video of how to make Liquid Soap for selling. Liquid soap production in Nigeria.
Chemicals used
Before you start making Liquid Soap Soak the SLS(Sodium Lauryl Sulphate) , Soda ash and Caustic Soda with 2 Litres of water Each.
Nitrosol = Acts as a thickener in the Liquid Soap. It is the first Chemical added to the water when making Liquid Soap. Stir the Nitrosol for 20 25 minuties.
Quantity used =200g
STPP (Sodium Tripolyphosphate)= It thickens and help increase the foaming of the soap.
Quantity used = 400g.
Sulphonic Acid = 1½ Litre
Soda Ash (Sodium Carbonate) This serves as a Stain remover in your soap and Removes Dirt.
Quantity used = 1½ kg
Caustic soda=This chemical is highly Corrosive. It removes Dirt in clothes and dishes. Quantity used = 70g
SLS (Sodium laurel sulphate) Quantity used
= 500g .
Texapon = 600g ... It acts as a binder and thickner.
Fragrance 80 ml
Colour 1Tbp

Hello Ellen the Liquid soap is versatile. It can be used for Lundry, washing dishes, cleaning Tiles etc.
The Natrosol which is in the family of (Hydroxyethylcellulose)
Plays an important role in the Liquid Soap formulation, Some people replaces Natrosol with Table salt. Lots of salt. I've never tried the method before .

Hello Maureen, you've to sieve the lumps out the mistake has been made. To avoid Lumpy Liquid Soap ..... during production, make sure to combine each Chemical very well. For Example the Nitrosol is the first Chemical you add to the water when making Liquid . Make sure to stir very well until it's absolutely dissolved.... Soak your SlS an hour or more before starting the Liquid Soap production. This gives room for the complete dissolving of the SLS etc. .....
When you add any Chemical while making the Liquid soap Stir & combine properly before adding the next.

watery consistency in a liquid soap may result from several factors. But the major leading cause is the recipe formulation error.
When some Liquid Soap chemicals are not properly combined, after producing the soap those chemicals (which are not properly dissolved or combined) sediments and reacts with the already produced soap. It cause distortion in color and consistency( viscosity) of the Already produced Liquid Soap.
