pH is to know whether your product is acidic or alkaline. And preservatives works in hand with pH of a product. I think there was a similar answer in the comment, please check it out and read

You don't need to be confused dear. I used in total 12 litres of water. 5 litres for SLS, STPP, Soda ash and Caustic soda. 6 litres for natrosol. 1 litre for my colour.
This doesn't burn the hand or skin because the pH is mild compare to the regular multipurpose soap. But you can still add glycerin for moisturizing effect or you make hand wash specifically for washing hands.
No dear, even though it is mild in pH scale I still not recommend it for washing the face and body. I recommend you use body wash or face wash to wash your body and face.

If you want to use it for bathing, remove SLS which dries the skin after a long use and add glycerin and other ingredients to boost the effectiveness on the skin.
