For anyone confused: If you listen to some North Korean music, the music is super old fashioned, so to understand the reaction, just imagine old people like your grandparents reacting to modern music. Majority of old people very much dislike the modern music and rather listen to their old fashioned songs.
Or if you grew up listening to modern music, try listening to older songs. @John Xina not really , they have some particular genres and that's all , their music is nowhere similar to the rest of the world .
@John Xina “John Xina”
Sound suspicious
@John Xina i see
@John Xina i wouldn't necessarily call arirang north korean music since that song is hundreds of years old and is a song both sung in north and south korea. it's more of a korean song in general, i don't know about the others you named though
Them performing in North Korea is not really a flex. But them surviving and went back to South Korea is a real flex

they are officially permitted by two sides governments, it's not that scary ok
@@PateFish-rj9mp these two countries are still technically at war. Idk abt you but singing and dancing infront of your political enemies can be scary.
The girls mightve been scared and nervous but damn, what a memorable story to tell to their children and grandchildren. How many people can legit say they sang and danced on stage in public in North Korea and lived to tell the tale?

Actually the girls were very proud and happy to go to North Korea, they even met with Kim Jong Un who praised them as "the finest singers of the korean people". Remember this was back in 2018, when there were serious talks between north and south about peaceful korean reunification. Unfortunately that is part of the past now ;(

Your first reaction will be like: this isn’t good or you don’t want to listen to it anymore, but that’s because you are listening to it for the first time and already in your mind, comparing that music to the music you always listen to
Or did you just forget the fact that they might get killed if they react? no? no? Ok
@@brandyjohnson738 they get killed? why? because president or someone was there or they're always not allowed to react?
