ADAPTING THE HARBOR FREIGHT WIRELESS REMOTE CONTROL TO ANY WINCH. (NOT SPONSORED)

I had to replace my trusty winch with a used one from FB Marketplace. The new to me winch did not have a wireless remote and that is a must have for me. I decided to take a chance on adapting the Harbor Freight wireless remote kit to this winch. I hope this video is helpful to you folks!

Put a rubber band in the ‘housing groove’ that’d be a better seal as you can then disassemble, if needed, effortlessly

So I have a WARN 2000 wench with no solenoid. Do I need this to use this remote with the same remote and wench? If so what kind of solenoid should I get?
