  • Here is the easy way to make your Harbor Freight Hoist remotely operated!
Look up on Amazon for "Motor Wireless Remote Control Switch 110V 220V AC 10A High Power Roller Shutter Door Electric Curtain Remote Forwards Reverse, Wide Voltage 85V-250V 433MHz RF Remote Control"
and also buy a pair of "Carrier HVAC Motor Contactor, 120V 30 Amp Coil 2 Pole Replacement Relays Compatible with C230B, Air Conditioner"
Special thanks to Joe White ( • Using SPDT Contactors ... ) for the information to get this running!

Love the little AC winches. Have one powering a small platform lift between the floor of my shop and the storage space above it. Would never dream of storing heavy stuff up there without it.

Very well done video. Thanks for the shout out in the notes. If anyone wants to understand how a DPDT switch works, that should help. I suspect most folks just want to know how to hook it up. I do have one question though: Why not rent a mini excavator for a weekend and have it all done lol. Looks like a ton of work. The result should be amazing. I would definitely want a sump in the bottom in case water ever found its way in.

Ok I got everything setup like yours and it works with one problem. Both up and down on remote go up. No down.

    Hello,

  • @dickiedentonii6124

Is there a newer model? And can I keep the wired remote active for emergencies?

  • @chotichotimagarmotibaatejo9197

Is it suitable for Pa 1500 electrical hoist single phase..?

Can you make a video or pic of how the capacitor is connected at the hoist box please? I have the model where the capacitor is in the remote and I'd like to move it. Thank you!

Question - Is the whole reason for using the contactors because the remote control is not rated for enough amperage? The reason I ask is I saw another video where the contactors were not added. Also, my harbor freight hoist has an e-stop button. Can I assume this unit will not use that function?

Clever thinking. How long have you been working on this project so far?

  • @chrisholt6136

OK I have a question. I don't have this exact hoist but one very similar. There is another video showing making harbor freight hoist remote wireless. They just use the same wireless unit you use but without the Carrier HVAC Motor Contactor. I can't get mine to work so I am wondering in I need those. Any idea why some need them and some don't? Thank you

  • @tinamartin1466

could I add a third remote and it work?
