    Big Picture: Engineer Mission
Department of Defense. Department of the Army. Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations. U.S. Army Audiovisual Center. (ca. 1974 - 05/15/1984). Our camera turns to the Corps of Engineers to tell the story of past and present accomplishments and what the Army Engineers mean to our nation in peace and war. The Corps of Engineers is now 179 years old with a proud record of service behind it. But as this film presentation shows, there is nothing old about its spirit as its personnel, both civilian and military, look forward eagerly to future accomplishments.

It too bad there are not any programs like this on todays Television. There should be programs like this to communicate the history and sacrifices of US Military units of all the uniformed services. Americans have become to fat and complacent, more worried about their I-Pod than their freedoms. This sickness permeates all the way to the White House, and to the JCS Head, and Defense Secretary, both wimps that would rather run than fight.

So first off. Sir. I live in an Army family, and I was going to join once I graduated college. So not EVERYONE in my generation is worried about things like I-pods and phones. Second. We DO care about our country and our freedoms. If YOUR generation actually LISTENED to us, things might be different. Have a good day. And if you did serve, thank you for your service.
