I was at Leighton Barracks in Wurzburg with the 3rd I D MP Det 61-63. We were still under the old Pentomic Division concept with 5 Battlegroups. I spent a lot of time at Hohenfels.
I was at Patch Barracks last week, was also there 25 years ago.. wow what an old home video!
A film about the work on the other side can be found searching: Grenztruppen der DDR Achtung Staatsgrenze
the bordercamp pictured at ca. minute 9 is camp gates near Haingruen, Marktredwitz
Spent a lot of time at Camp Gates when up on the border with my Scout platoon. Remember Marktredwitz well and always enjoyed sneaking and peaking over the border.
