    Just ordered my second pair of JK Boots, Absolutely love my fire inlanders. The quality, comfort and craftsmanship of a JK boot is unbelievable. I’m a Dozer operator, constantly in mud and rock. I can’t get a redwing or danner to last 6 months, I’m 2 years into the fire inlanders, the sole is only half worn, not a stitch out of place, not a sign of leather stretch or wear, and the most comfortable footwear I ever wore in my life

    As a mechanic in my line of work, being on concrete a lot makes the fore front an option, but because I am on the go all day for 12 hours in and out door and climbing a lot rather working on elevators, silos, or going on the roof of the plant to work on MAU's. The super duty or lineman makes more sense. I have a pair of Nick's Builder Pros and it's by far been the best boot I have ever worn and most comfortable and I have worn all the big name mass produced boots from Ariat to Red wing...... None of them last 3 months and then they are shot. Did I mention I weld too..... I weld daily at the plant. I wish there was away to combine all of the best aspects of these boots and make them a bit more water proof because unfortunately I find myself a lot having to walk through water or watery mud or really bloody who knows what because I work in Rendoring at a Hog butchering plant. I would think the Super duty would work just as well or the same as my builder Pros but again, I need to find a better way of water proofing, tried bees wax....... Only lasts so long..... by so long, I mean like a day or two.....lol. I will say this, rather JK or Nick's, or most PNW boots are great and a hell of a lot more comfortable and better on the feet, knees, and back then any other mass produced boot and last a hell of a lot longer too!

  • @N4JAB
    @N4JAB 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Do you have something for the factory worker? I’m a tool and die maker. I’m required to have the safety toe and an anti slip sole. And do you recommend upsizing to accommodate the safety toe? Thanks.

    • @jkbootsusa
      @jkbootsusa  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question! We do not recommend sizing up when ordering boots with a safety toe. If you are on a shop floor most of you day, we recommend looking at the Forefront which has a soft outsole while still maintaining good amounts of grip. However, if you need something with deeper lugs, the O.T. will be a great option!

  • @dylanleeevins
    @dylanleeevins ปีที่แล้ว +3

    One thing I've always wondered, maybe you can answer. When you put the heel on, it's way undersized and you shave down the heel stack and midsole to match it. Why not get a larger footprint? I would think stability in the ankle would be improved. Just wonder if there's a deeper reason. Just bought a pair of honey redwoods for the season, excited to see what they're about.

    • @deejpax

      If you tried to walk in a heel that was bigger and not sanded down, you would be very annoyed by it and then you would realize why they don't do that.

    All the boots are quality but they are separated by use. If your a tradesman. You don't want the first boot. I did that and had to get the Forefronts. They were too stiff and inflexible. I still have the forest boots, I use them at home for yardwork and all around work boot at home. They will probably last me the rest of my life. But do yourself a favor and get the forefront or even the 300 if your in the building trades.

    • @Patryn71
      @Patryn71 ปีที่แล้ว

      Speaking from personal experience, it depends how bad it is. For mine, even the Forefronts I recently received and my OT's have good support. I do own a pair of Nick's Builder Pro's (comparable to the Superduty) and they do offer a lot more support because of the higher heel, but for my work I really don't need that much. I use them more for casual hiking, yard work (have a steep banking I have to mow) and stuff like that. For my indoor warehouse job I much prefer the Forefronts or OT's.

    What's the longest wearing sole for concrete? My red x soles wore out in a little over 1 year.

    • @stonewintjen505
      @stonewintjen505 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Idk man, the red X is probably one of the toughest out there. I know a lot of people who work on concrete floors like the wedge some boots but those are gonna be softer. The wedge soles are awesome and lights and flexible and comfy but they will wear down faster and if you kick stuff a lot they can break chunks off at the toe area. But they are really good for comfy on concrete and maybe worth a try. But as far as toughest sole the red X or maybe standard v100 of you aren’t on fire service are probably the best options.

  • @todtalk3912
    @todtalk3912 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I don't like that you don't add an option for the uppers size. It wouldn't be to much more work.
    I've never worn boots that the uppers didn't fit me.
    I feel like I got a pair of boots that were custom for someone else because the upper is way bigger than I can stand.
    I thought I was going to be able to wear them, but im probably not able to.
    I got a pair of Bison Forefronts, and they are nice, minus that.
    I only got average width, which fits my foot great, minus the upper.
    When I tighten them, the laces are to close making the boots more uncomfortable than they should be.
    Sucks because im 600 into a pair of boots I can't wear.

    • @ronnyhoke8855
      @ronnyhoke8855 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a pair of Forefront on order and I’m concerned I may have the issue of not being able to properly cinch them also. I’ll just have to wait and see.

    • @todtalk3912
      @todtalk3912 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Ronny Hoke def dont be an idiot like me and not send em back.
      I ended initially wearing them around the house, thinking, maybe I could do it. Also, I didn't want to wait for another pair.
      So now I have expensive paper weights, basically.
      Unless I wanna rebuild them, which is adding another 300 into them. Like, wtf lol.
      Anyway, if you notice there is only 1 fingers width between the laces as soon as you get them, they will tighten up each use a little and will probably close up about another 1/2 in.
      So keep that in mind.
      Then, on ur next set, get them custom. I went with the quick ship option, and they don't explain the instep at all really and when you should opt for custom boots.
      You can look on their site, I have pics of how they fit me. If they fit like that, then u should def get another pair, because that was day 1, they are basically touching now.
      Jk's solution was to give me full length leather lace guards, well I got 6 un boots and they come with full length already, so I waited another 2 weeks for that only to realize they are the exact same thing.
      I thought maybe they would custom make some thicker ones or something for me lol. Nope.
      The closer the laces are, the more material you have bunching up on ur foot every time it bends now.
      Anyway, just be aware there is a return policy in place, but just ensure u do ur due diligence and check and make sure they really fit before def keeping them.

    • @vtxgenie1
      @vtxgenie1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@todtalk3912 it's too bad they didn't fit, but since it's mainly the uppers that are your issue you can do something I've done with my cheaper boots... Buy a roll of mole skin (self adhesive) and cut and layer it as needed inside the upper until the boot fits you perfect again. Make sure to press it in so it doesn't move, then wear it until it really presses into place and it'll feel like part of the boot.
