I've flown most planes and the 777 is by far my favorite. It makes more trust than a quad engine 747 or the airbus a340. The GE90 is truly a masterpiece of an engine.
what i cant understand is how people can dislike the video, it is what it is....... was the sun in the wrong position? or was the clouds the wrong shape and colour... oh i know there was no ufo in the video..... some people are so hard to please
This is a machine that can really kick ass. It has the most powerful engines on a passenger plane, at over 120, 000 pounds of thrust both the GE and the Rolls Royce versions will give you an unique experience as they roar into the skies. Simply the triple 7 has the best sound of any pas. plane, period. And to think that any one of the engines by itself can easily take this bird no matter the payload. I wish someday to travel in one of these. Great video.
Oh my God.....!!! The sound of those Trents at full thrust is pure music to my ears! Unbridled ecstasy....and love the video too...."Ten Minutes to Sunlight".
I am lucky as I deliver to Heathrow Airport and get to see these planes land and take off. I drive Airside so I am close to the planes, and experience the take offs and landings from airside., Awesome sight and sounds. I love these videos and never get bored of them. Thanks for posting
Oh that sound If only I could score into music Kudos to those who design those engines & planes and the blessings to the Pilots who fly them Wow I am speechless
Absolutely impressive, I love the distinctive growl of the RR Trents at maximum power and how incredibly silent they become when the aircraft reaches cruise altitude and speed. This is a great example of how airliner engines have evolved not only in terms of power and efficiency, but also in passenger comfort.
onecunningfox correct! these things move!! I rode in my first 777 with P&Ws and they haul ass and lift off like a rocket.. my main plane I take is a 747-400, very smooth! But 777 feels much faster getting out of the hole.
absolutely remarkable! the takeoff is always exciting, but the fact you demonstrate how fast the plane is going over the clouds is just about as good as it gets.
Great video and i enjoyed watching every second. However i would be very grateful if someone could explain the changing thrust settings through out the climb... Is it related to height clearances?
Great video! My question is, why do they throttle back and then immediately throttle up again? This happens like 3 or 4 times - it's almost like they can't decide what power setting to put the engines on. This freaks me out consistently when I fly.
Alot of the A-300 series and the Boeing series such as the 757, 767 and the 777 all have that powerful "turbine" sound. Thats why when I fly I like the window seat just above and in front of the engine. Awesome.
It's always jaw dropping ... riding like a V8 engine car. Although GE90-115B fans said that it's the strongest in the world than the Rolls Royce Trent 800 series by two times of the thrust, yes..that's the fact , but yet, music is not good as Rolls Royce Trent 800 series. Trent produces the sound that nobody done before , that roaring , that raging pushing power , that tune is simply most powerful ever ~ !
@onecunningfox to add to your point ....altho the GE90-115B is rated at 115,000lbs of thrust , it actually has the guiness world record for highest thrust @ 127,900lbs. so if the triple seven had four of these youre talking about 511,600lbs of maximum thrust...
@onecunningfox I went on American to Chicago last April, Chicago wasn't my final destination but i love the 777-200ER engine sounds, think it was the same flight as yours, did you land around 12-1pm chicago time?
one of the best aviation videos i've seen yet. amazing plane, engine, and power.. liked it when you broke out at 8:30 as well. damn that takeoff was fast and sexy! amazing video sir keep it up
At about 2:48-3:00, is that moisture being sucked up via the fans from the runway or is it taken from the air? Just curious coz its rare to see this when the runway is relatively dry....
I flew on the 777 a couple times going from NY to London. Those are incredibly powerful engines and a very nice airplane. The only thing I found disturbing the first time was the darn thing sounding like the engine was eating itself up LOL. I guess Efficiency and Power came before sounding good a full power :)
And let alone the fan blades near the air-intake are fast, but the inner turbine blades near the rear are spinning exponentially faster to the speed of the front blades. Truly amazing.
this sounds very brutal and powerful, but i love the rumble more than anything else. you cant really hear that in this video, is it there or is the buzzing like sound that loud? thanks
This aircraft does such a great job at climb no matter what the TOW is. You can distinctively hear the thrust reduction a little after takeoff! Awesome video pal, and best regards!
Do you have any idea how aircraft work? Commercial airliners use de rated power on takeoff the preserve the life of the engines. Very few, if any, airliners use full throttle on takeoff. Your general aviation prop plane will but not your 35 million dollar airliner.
esmi000 there is full power and there is take off power.. very RARE do they put the throttle to the max. we know the weak A330s and A340s do lol I see those things fly over my house and pray they do not sink lol
Dang, this video was from 2010? wow almost 10 years ago (are you the first person to make a loud takeoff video)? If you are then you're a legend! You should have at least 50k or 80k or something!
I was looking, and listening for something different about the takeoff. When will we experience anything different to the other landings, and takeoffs many of us have gone through? Just wondering.
As one who is pterified of flying (but will), that scene at 8:30 was beautiful. Almost reminded me of the scene in the movie "Airplane" where the plane does it's best Jaws impression and crashes through the clouds.
I am an automotive Engineer i spent hours and hours studying and working and i have to say that there wasn't ever and ever and ever such powerfull means of transportation in history from the airplanes.
I think if I had heard the ups and downs of these engines like that while a passenger on that plane, I would have been very nervous, but that may be due, in part, because I hardly ever fly. Very interesting video.
WOW you really get a sense of speed after breaking the clouds at 8:30... great vid...Hey... why do the engines get quieter the higher and faster you go and do cabin crew suffer industrial deafness on the job because of engine noise?
What a beautiful noise! Part of the job of aircraft engines are to keep the pilots and passengers cool. When you lose an engine pilots and passengers start sweating. The more you lose the more they sweat.
It's air with water droplets in it (same as a cloud or fog.) In this video, the relative humidity was obviously high, meaning the air was holding almost as much water vapor as it is able to hold. It's invisible, but it's definitely there. When the air pressure is reduced (as it is right in front of a jet engine or as the air speeds up to go over the wing), the air right there is not able to hold as much water, so the water condenses into droplets, which you can see as a cloud.
nice video there dude it still fascinates me how plane engines pull such heavy weights so far into the sky. oh btw does anyone know how fast the rpm is of one of the engines on take off as very curious thanks
I saw nothing wrong with his comment, and was surprised he got hammered on for it (considering the magnitude of ignorance found all over TH-cam). Although I have to say I disagree with him. Every engine has a certain kind of beauty to their sound, and considering their immense power, one can only hold them in the highest regard. Likewise, I respect TheE's opinion as well, though I disagree, and to you I say thanks for sharing such a magnificent experience with us! :)
Awesome video and great take-off out of LHR. I have never experienced one like that with the increase/decreasing of the throttles at the different climb stages...most of the time I've flown out of LHR we have just continuously climbed up to our altitude, but that was pretty interesting to see! I do agree with some other posters that 100% power is rarely used on take-off unless fully loaded, but by the sound of those trents, I'd say it was pretty close to it!! Great video anyway.
The best 777 take off I have ever seen, great footage! Ill be going from LHR to EWR next year, I hope it turns out to be like this because I've never been on a plane bigger than a 757 LOL :)
@onecunningfoxHow do you measure how good a pilot is though? i'm certain your Captain on your flight was very very good/experienced, but so are many other pilots. Love the video :)
Best full throttle pull on yt
8:32 wow just wow how amazing
Thank you. Every time I see it, my feet feel like they are floating....
Very nice video, and a very special moment at 8:30! He kept the throttles to the wall for a long time after takeoff!
Much appreciated.
Ahhhh..the magnificent sound of the RR fan blades going supersonic
Love the power up at 7:42.
I really like Airbus' A380-800 & the A340s but, the Boeing Triple Sevens are the best thus far. Can't wait to see the B-777X-9s!!
I've flown most planes and the 777 is by far my favorite. It makes more trust than a quad engine 747 or the airbus a340. The GE90 is truly a masterpiece of an engine.
Very impressive! This is probably my favourite take-off and most scenic take-off I've ever seen!
I think this guys mic is too good, it sounds bloody wonderful to me, it's picking up everything engineering at its best. Beast!
what i cant understand is how people can dislike the video, it is what it is....... was the sun in the wrong position? or was the clouds the wrong shape and colour... oh i know there was no ufo in the video..... some people are so hard to please
I still can't believe how planes can fly up to 40,000ft above you. Nice video, liked.
This is a machine that can really kick ass. It has the most powerful engines on a passenger plane, at over 120, 000 pounds of thrust both the GE and the Rolls Royce versions will give you an unique experience as they roar into the skies. I have been looking for this video for like 2 years and i finally found it again! Great video!
She was the captain of a flight out Frankfurt to Chicago I was on. I was in business class, she pushed me back into my seat.
8.30 is just heavenly. Thank you very much for this video
Absolute joy to watch... Excellent steady footage and with the added numerous cloud breaking scenes, makes this one of the best videos I've seen..
This is amazing!! 8:34 is Crazy! great to see another video from you!
Wow... good ole Mrs Fitzsimmons... well done Maam!
Wow 3 layers of cloud and the last one was amazing, so beautiful.
8:30 is one of those moments that no matter your mood is, they instantly put a smile on your face :) great video, LOVE the 777s
brilliant take off mrs fitzsimmons!!! keep it up!!!
Ahhh the sound of the Trent 800 is beautiful. You can't beat 3 stage engines, The Trent Family rules!!!
Amazing video. Music to my ears. Those speeding clouds at 08:33 gorgeous!
I love the sound of the wine when the Auto-throttle pulls back on the power and then pushes it back up three times near the end.
wow, love the cloud skimming at 8.30..really beautiful
thats sounds like a V8 from a muscle car....oh wait...the TRENTs are MUSCLE ENGINES!!
Trent 892. 0-60mph or 96kmh in under 6 seconds. 99%+ dispatch rate (cant say same for 787) ceiling FL430 for 43,000ft.
onecunningfox correct! these things move!! I rode in my first 777 with P&Ws and they haul ass and lift off like a rocket.. my main plane I take is a 747-400, very smooth! But 777 feels much faster getting out of the hole.
Weirdo lol
GE 90 is more powerful
***** Hmmmmm I gotta go with the Ge 90 on the sound Lol but its all on personal preference.
always come back to hear this magnificent display of power .... I think when you set them to %100 time starts to shift LOL
It sounds like the Trent 700 (an engine of the Airbus A330.)
Kool video! I like it when you go through the clouds, looks like the pilot put the after-burners on. Like the sound!
absolutely remarkable! the takeoff is always exciting, but the fact you demonstrate how fast the plane is going over the clouds is just about as good as it gets.
Very nice video...I like it when the plane punches through multiple cloud decks- both during takeoff and landing!
Great video and i enjoyed watching every second.
However i would be very grateful if someone could explain the changing thrust settings through out the climb... Is it related to height clearances?
Was the FADEC making all those throttle adjustments o rwas it the result of frequent atc climb commands?
Amazing video! Love when you break free of the clouds and cruise over them.
Great video! My question is, why do they throttle back and then immediately throttle up again? This happens like 3 or 4 times - it's almost like they can't decide what power setting to put the engines on. This freaks me out consistently when I fly.
Once again, a fantastic video. Congratulations!
As a Cabin Crew, can't get enough of that Spool-up sound sitting at doors 2!
Alot of the A-300 series and the Boeing series such as the 757, 767 and the 777 all have that powerful "turbine" sound. Thats why when I fly I like the window seat just above and in front of the engine. Awesome.

well said, well said

Lovely plane to fly in - took one from London to Toronto and back again - slept like a baby and I NEVER sleep on flights.
@onecunningfox I went on American to Chicago last April, Chicago wasn't my final destination but i love the 777-200ER engine sounds, think it was the same flight as yours, did you land around 12-1pm chicago time?

8.30 footage is stunning! Lovely aircraft!
All pilots for any comercial airline are well respected they take up a huge machine with lives and land it all in their control.
And let alone the fan blades near the air-intake are fast, but the inner turbine blades near the rear are spinning exponentially faster to the speed of the front blades. Truly amazing.
Awsome video!! That is one of the greatest videos ever!!!!
Splendid video, thank you !!! God I LUV those Trent 895s, they sound SWEET !!!
8:34 sure it's the magic moment, feeling how you emerge from that cloud bed, it's beautiful.
Awesome vortex coming off the vane on the nacelle!
Nice one, that RR noise is magic!
this sounds very brutal and powerful, but i love the rumble more than anything else. you cant really hear that in this video, is it there or is the buzzing like sound that loud? thanks
I love the sound of the wine when the Auto-throttle pulls back on the power and then pushes it back up three times, starting at 6:12.
brilliant vid especially at 8:30. when the clouds go by that quick u know ure going fast :D
You cant beat the sound of the Trent's !
GE 90s are great sounding in my opinion
Agree, they are workhorses to be sure.
Are you sure? Because the BAC 1-11 has the loudest jet engines ever. Go search it. BAC 1-11 QinetiQ final flight.
Yeah it is really awesome from 8:35 to the end where the jet is just blasting over the clouds. The sense of speed is amazing.
This aircraft does such a great job at climb no matter what the TOW is. You can distinctively hear the thrust reduction a little after takeoff! Awesome video pal, and best regards!
Oh yeah man! Listen that engines! Powerful take off! Good video :D
my heart dropped, and im sitting in my house at 6:16
Why? Engines are at full power only until it has reached a good rate of climb.
LP Engines aren't even at full power during takeoff or rollout. Just the TOGA power.
***** All planes and jets are at full power until they reach their climbing speed!
Do you have any idea how aircraft work? Commercial airliners use de rated power on takeoff the preserve the life of the engines. Very few, if any, airliners use full throttle on takeoff. Your general aviation prop plane will but not your 35 million dollar airliner.

forgot to add, i f**ing love the part where you bust through the clouds, and get a great idea on the speed in which your traveling at! awesome!
love the sound. When you break the clouds it looks like you are screamin along! The sound helps the effect.
Dang, this video was from 2010? wow almost 10 years ago (are you the first person to make a loud takeoff video)? If you are then you're a legend! You should have at least 50k or 80k or something!
holy crap that thing blasted down the runway fast
I like how you put speakers on max on your vids because it really sounds real like your there.
I was looking, and listening for something different about the takeoff. When will we experience anything different to the other landings, and takeoffs many of us have gone through?
Just wondering.

One of the most beautiful sound i ever heard.
What a racket. Did you lean the lens against the window?
Very poetic description. Awesome awesome video
I am an automotive Engineer i spent hours and hours studying and working and i have to say that there wasn't ever and ever and ever such powerfull means of transportation in history from the airplanes.
great video you can see the speed of the aircraft coming out of the clouds. great video
A few more thousand feet of climb, would have been on top of the world (or at least the Cirrus cloud layers).
Another gem... great work!
I think if I had heard the ups and downs of these engines like that while a passenger on that plane, I would have been very nervous, but that may be due, in part, because I hardly ever fly. Very interesting video.
Amazing video dude! Tks for sharing it!

Hey, I saw your comment and just thought I could help with your fear of flying, may I ask what makes you so nervous about it?
I saw nothing wrong with his comment, and was surprised he got hammered on for it (considering the magnitude of ignorance found all over TH-cam). Although I have to say I disagree with him. True sense of speed when cutting thru the clouds! Love it!

How long was the flight? Nice & stable recording!
@TheArfdog, all turbofans with large fan (high bypass) have that sound, not just R&R
Oh my gosh! The sound is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!
this is the great sound of planes - thanks
This and other similar ones, good for trying to get my rabbit used to that sound before her first flight.
The best 777 take off I have ever seen, great footage! Ill be going from LHR to EWR next year, I hope it turns out to be like this because I've never been on a plane bigger than a 757 LOL :)
love the sound of trent engines 3:55 was pretty cool
@onecunningfoxHow do you measure how good a pilot is though? i'm certain your Captain on your flight was very very good/experienced, but so are many other pilots. Love the video :)
Why the lower pressure will cause the temperature to drop?
Great video I'm on aa99 in a few weeks can't wait. It's been a while since I was on a 777
In all the years of flying as cabin crew I could never get enough of that whine on take off and under climb power!!
Is that a Boeing 737 at 1:20? I dont think so because of the quad landing gear, but anyways, does anybody know what plane is it?
