- Watch the landing in LAX: • British Airways Boeing...
EXPAND FOR FLIGHT INFORMATION:
Amazingly deep GE-90 engine sounds at startup followed by a beautiful spool up on takeoff from London Heathrow Airport LHR/EGLL bound for Los Angeles International Airport LAX/KLAX onboard Boeing 777-36N/ER G-STBE as British Airways flight BA 283. It was just below freezing and we were de-iced at the gate; the remnants of the deicing fluid show as green on the leading edge of the wing. Wonderful engine condensation upon takeoff, can also see the deicing fluid sliding off the wing and vaporizing into the air on takeoff.

The GE90-115B is more talented than Ed Sheeran
kkkkkkkkk LOL The best comment
Agreed
True
Everything is more talented than Ed Sheeran
No it’s more talented than charli damelio
Roses are red
GE 90’s are great
Full power
Is at 1:08
👍
Cool...the shadow of the 777 made this video even more special for me.
0:24 amazing!! The engine buzz is amazing too!! 🤤
you can tell she was heavy that morning..but the GE90-115B is just a fricken beast and doesnt care
Christopher Coke Robinson my favorite engine plus these GE 90s are fuel efficient
115,000lbs of thrust
NVHSChadSheppard1 yep the Ge 90-115b producing 115,000 lbs of thrust
I really do love the noise of the General Electric ge90-115b starting up dude what a brilliant sound excellent sound
That’s sound is like heaven for an airplane lover great video !
The amount of air this beast is gulping up and the mist it creates wow!
0:25 amazing startup sound indeed, and the ge90 engine buzz!!
As far as I’m concerned, during the whole climb out, the cabin crew sounded like “wonk wonk Wah wah wonk wonk wonk….” Those engines are just pure enjoyment and music to my ears!
That moment when you don't wan't the take off roll to end.
Incredible sound, like he is outside! If that isn't the loudest I have ever heard on a video, in 20 some years.
I'm 13 right now. My dream is to pilot the 777-300ER. Sounds amazing and this video gives me even more inspiration. Only thing is, I hope they don't retire them by that time since this plane already has some age to it. If so I would not mind flying the 777-900X.
Your dream shall come to pass. You'll become a pilot one day. :)
GE90 sounds like my computer when I’m running FS2020 in the future.
THATS.A.BIG.ASS.ENGINE.
Many rooms in a house have an 8 foot ceiling, as the one I sit in now, and to think that fan is 10 feet diameter, then to suck so hard as to create vapor, astonishing!
Love the sound of those motors
Jesus, that's a great video!!! Don't know if it's just the angle or what but you've really caught the power of the engines. Good job.
Thanks for the comment and happy to hear you enjoyed the video!
Great video! The GE-90s do sound great!
Yes they do but some BA 777 have different engines which are not as good
The General Electric Ge 90-115b is the most powerful 777 turbofan engine ever made producing over 115,000 lbs of thrust
The rolls Royce trent 800 produces 90,000 lbs of thrust but the noise of this turbofan jet engine is a bit louder than any other turbofan jet engine ever made
Glorious departure! Truly epic sounds from those mighty -115B's. Keep the videos coming! Subbed and liked!
AWESOME engine sound and FANTASTIC takeoff on Rwy09L, thumbs UP!
But 10 hours this volume level and you are deaf in LAX :-)
+zerberus500 It's actually a 27L departure
zerberus500 Takeoff was actually from 27L side not the 09 side!
GE90 makes light work of a full 7773
1:26 The way the engine is at full thrust!
I was supposed to fly on a 777-300ER in August Toronto-Paris but god damn you Corona!😔😡
My uncle Gareth flies the British Airways Boeing 777's
Love the shadow after take off.
Was rare seeing a BA 777 300ER from Heathrow to Los Angeles back then as it was mainly B747 400s or A380 in that route. Probably more now as I think it's a suited aircraft for that route
WOW! What an amazing video! gotta love dat GE-90 Spool! :D
Awesome video! What a beautiful day for flying out of Heathrow.
Thanks, glad to be able to share it with you!
wow awesome sound !!
amazing spool up! nice sounds awsome
I absolutely love it!
Wonderful x
Awesome vid!!!
Thanks!
Awesome!
Super video. What power.
I know right! Powerful takeoff, and that long-hauling beast got off the ground in just 36 seconds after setting thrust.
Excelente Jato Ótimo Vídeo Parabéns amigo
Awesome .
Amazing
Great shadow view. You don't see that often.
You're right, the sun angle has to be perfect to capture it!
Good video...........
You need it to be three seats up.But it's still good
Belo Vídeo Parabéns Muito bom
😌😌🇧🇷🇧🇷👌👌
Fantastic engines, but also very noisy! I can barely hear the overhead PA lol
Wow
GE90 115B and IAE V2500 are the world's best engines!
Don't forget the RB211
And don’t forgot Trent XWB, TF39 and CF6 aswell as GENX
Great clip. How was the noise sitting next to the engine? Or just the video.
T/O roll begins @1:23
Do you hold your Canon, how do you keep it so still?
1:24 yeet
Yeet ❤
I over worry a lot! I worry about the sound I hear that strikes me as "rattle/buzz." Like flexing a paper clip too much, I fear something in the engine is being over exercised. And it seems resonant as it disappears after the throttle-back following take-off. Just a few months ago a 777 engine caught fire at takeoff.
Great video - lovely colours and sound. I'd love to fly on the 777-300 some time but unfortunately they only service the "A List" routes.
TRENT XWB better then GE90! :D
What appears to be a problem with the engine is a condition of condensation.
Some BA 777-200 like G-YMMJ has different engines. These engines are way better
The heck is Air Canada A319 doing over there?
ART CORE haha I dunno
It goes to St. John's. 5 hour flight.
Music to my ear holes
