Question
I've got wind deflectors (acrylic, I think) with swirls, I don't want to buff them out. Can you suggest which product which will diminish the swirls and leave a shine?

Hi Pan you finally went with my recommendation.
I use them all, I also got a professional coating on my car. I had the Ultra coating plus the Exo, wow its awsome.

I LOVE GTechniq's stuff. I fell in love with EXO right away. Works great on windshields! C4 is a fantastic product also. I used that on my old car and it brought life back to all of my black plastics. When I traded in my car, the dealership even said "I've never seen plastic last this long." Panel wipe is another favorite of mine. Pretty sure that stuff would remove nuclear waste from your paint to make sure it's fresh.

Great brand review of GTechniq, Pan. While I haven’t requested this brand for review, I’m glad you did. I have tried their glass coatings as well as the trim coating on my previous car and I was astounded at the results. I’d love to try more of their products and perhaps I will one day. The prices aren’t budget friendly for many, but you do get what you pay for.

I discovered the channel by researching and studying about detailing on youtube and forums (which I do everyday). The first video I watched was the detailer’s garage, and it helped organizing my own space (at home) it gave me many ideas for my future studio, which I intend to build this year 😄

Thank You Pan! Have used the the C5 Wheel Armor on my son's new BMW Wheels. Interesting you should say about the T1 tyre and trim. I only use it on our trucks black plastic trim with so far great results and longevity. My son and I have a different prefered tire dressing. I also have that Wash Mitt on a wish list to try.

Applied liquid crystal cerium light paired with exo v4 on my dad lotus Elise and it is incredible. Beading and sheeting is just mind blowing making it a dream to clean.

As always great video, i've had my GTI Clubsport done with Gtechniq Crystal Ultra & EXOv4. It's absolutely stunning & makes my life alot easier to clean. I've really started using the main products, shampoo's by them to maintain the car, was told any PH Neutral shampoo (without wax's) is fine, but felt, maybe i should stick to the one brand that the car is covered with for best results. But have been told tho Carpro products will be fine to use, like reset will still be ok & poss better to use. I also use tho that detailer secret QD you showed us awhile back, even tho it's now released as ELIXIR. I feel could be better QD's than the one Gtechniq sell themselves.

I'm a truck driver in the US, and I have been using aquapel for 2 years now, but it wears off fairly quickly. I am hoping the Gtechniq line of products will maintain its coating longer. Thanks

Hi Pan,
I am the second owner of an Audi S3 that has been professionally treated with GTECHNIQ products by its previous owner. There is a 7 year warranty on the Crystal Serum ceramic coating. It has also received a coat of EXO v3 and the wheels have been treated with Wheel Armour plus the leather seats have been GTECHNIQ-leather-protected. All this GTECHNIQ treatment was applied in January 2018.
I need your advice on how often I should reapply the various protections on the paintwork, wheels and leather seats to keep the exterior and interior of the S3 looking at its best.

Hey Pan, love all the videos !! I was getting some competitive pricing and it’s between cquartz and gtechniqs costing system. Any recommendations of which one is best for maintenance washes, protection of swirls and shine?
Can’t go wrong with either one. Both top tier companies. Boils down to personal preference and price.
I know this is an older video but I just wanted to highlight one point: the C5 wheel armour will actually last closer to 2 years (with correct prep obviously) rather than the 6 to 12 months you quoted Pan.
It was developed with the UK in mind, which is quite rainy. However, we dont get a great deal of snow, unlike you guys in Canada, so road salt is less of an issue here.
That may explain the durability difference you guys see over there.

I used their ceramic coating on a set of volk wheels and it worked really well. I got them powdercoated and didn't apply a new coat to them and you can really tell the difference. I have a set of brembo brakes in the front and its hard to keep the brake dust off. I plan on applying it again.
Having coated wheels is a must on all wheels, but especially on powerful brake setups, I agree. ;)

Pan, you are the man! I have been using AMMO products as well as some Chemical Guys and Adam's products. One thing stick out and that is AMMO Skin which is easy to use and when you try to wet the part of the car, the water sheets off and the car is amazingly dry. I can dry my car with an air dryer in minutes. Just wanted to get your opinion and comments. I would love to see a medium windshield scratch remover demo and your recommended product(s). Thanks Bill! You can use the same soap as for your paintwork with a soft bristle brush to really work the product in, then rince thoroughly.

Hi Pan I just purchased and installed splash guards on my Subaru. Know I am looking at Gtechniq C4 trim restore coating to put on myself. Gtechniq has 2 year protection my question is if I layer it twice will it give me a 4 year protection or a stronger protection for the 2 years?

hi. is c4 trim can be used to LED fog clear or orange covers? plastic side mirror cover? rain guard/gutter? and plastic door handle covers? also can EXO be used in plastics and glasses?
Hi Pan. After applying L1 is it recommended to apply C6 for additional protection? Is there any time between applications? thank you
Hi. L1 is a leather treatment while C6 is for dashboards, door cards and centre consoles. So while you can use (diluted for use) W2 or I2ab for all interior surface cleaning, L1 is best for leather as it offers a higher degree of abrasion resistance and reduces dye transfer from clothing such as denim to the leather. C6 is ideal for dashboards, door cards and centre consoles as it restores a factory fresh lustre to the plastics.

Hey pan, love the vids but I’m just wondering what do you put on panoramic sunroofs? Do you treat them like glass? Or like the car body? I See people saying you can wax the roof like the body as there’s no wipers, but I see some people treat them like glass and use products like in this video, curious what you do

Hi Pan, another great informative video. I was about to purchase the Car Pro CQUK 3.0 along with Reload, however after viewing this video on the GTECHNIQ Crystal Serum Light I’m now undecided. This will be my first attempt at a ceramic coating, and have been viewing your instructional videos daily, so I am confident on the application process. In your expert opinion, what would be the coating that would be easier to apply. Of all the coatings-- CarPro , Gyeon, and GTECHNIQ, I have it narrowed down to GTECHNIQ Crystal serum Light and CarPro CQUARTZ 3.0. Thank you again, for the informative video. Howard.
My favourite is still CQuartz UK 3.0. That being said, CSL is another high end consumer grade coating. You can’t go wrong regardless which one you choose.

I really don't think there is any silica in C2V3 or if there is it is very small amount. The SDS shows just a chemical name for silicone. It is a good product but as for the actual silica in it I am sceptical since it is not on the SDS
@@metalpolishshop I don't care what it says on the tin. The stuff works. 6+ months of durability and protection on top of coatings.

How often can I apply C2V3 over CSL/EXO? Can I use as a drying agent with each G1/Wash???
Hi pan. With ceramic coatings could you do a review or some tips on what you do if you don’t have a large enough garage or the ability to keep your car out of the elements when installing ceramics. You may have answered this already but I sadly don’t have that facility but I do get shade by my garage for most of the day and being in the UK it could rain anytime. Thanks. Also, one last thing I’ve seen a lot of cheap coatings on amazon. Are these any good or is just a durability thing? 👍
10 dollar coatings (like the Mr Fix It crap) doesn't last long and isn't worth even the 10$. Stay away from the cheap eBay style coatings.
Great video and review I love there products . For me there ceramic exterior is my favourite and there interior & exterior stuff is by far the best bar none ! All there stuff is great . There fallout remover is the best I’ve used too👍 I do prefer bilt hamber foam and apc cleaner surfex hd as it’s just as good as there respective products but a lot cheaper. Apart from that it’s the only criticism I have of there full line . Thanks Pan 🤙👍✌️

Hey Pan! I’m wondering about crystal serum light and exov4. When lets say i have applied both and after a couple of years when the exo has ”worn” out, do i need to polish the csl away again then reapply both or can i apply the exo over the csl with out polishing? Hope you can help me with this tried out doing the research but can’t find any info
Ideally you would compound and polish and do all the paint prep steps as you need to have CSL bond directly to the clear coat.

Scellement “ which gives a Nice mat finish but I wonder if a Gtechniq Leather guard would be better especially on light Colors like Linen

Elixir est superbe, mais évidemment ne dure pas aussi longtemps que Reload. J'utilise Elixir surtout comme aide au séchage (Drying aid). Je n'ai pas essayé le QD chez Gyeon encore, mais je devrais le recevoir sous peu, car je dois tester leurs nouveaux produits pour 2019.
Pan TheOrganizer je test le Gyeon QD demain matin lors de mon lavage hebdomadaire, je te ferai mon retour dessus. Je vais essayer le shampoing Carpro Reset aussi car je suis habitué au Bathe qui est excellent 🧨

Thanks Imer! I like to present different brands to my viewers to make them discover products they might not have heard of. GTechniq is a top tier coatings brand for sure and deserves a spot on my channel. :)
Their iron remover doesn't smell that bad. Of course, there's no getting around the fact it's a chemical that does smell like rotten eggs, it's the nature of the iron removers. Just work in well ventilated spaces. What I liked about the GTechniq is that there was no real lingering smell after use. It also rinses nicely off the body.
How do you know when the ceramic coating is no longer effective when continuing to maintain with a sealant (c2v3) helping protection ?

C2V3 applied every two or three months. You could also apply two layers of top coat of Exo v4.

Buy a winter beater car if you have a special car that you want to last for ever! Be prepared for it to be white for 4 to 5 months of the year. That said, EXO and a glass treatment like G5 or G1&G2 will help keep that winter car looking as good as possible.
Doug gave a great answer. I personally apply ceramic coatings to all my vehicles. It really helps with keeping the car as clean as possible and really facilitates the maintenance washes.
I have a g technique ceramic coating. What do you recommend for like spray waxes or sealant after washing when the car is still wet? I like the dry and wax combination, I was debating if I should keep the same brand or try CarPro products.

Can I use their leather protection on faux leather?
Pan can you recomend the best product to remove baked on brake dust from gloss black diamond cut alloy wheels. Ive tried bilt and hamber korossol with no luck. Thanks
Maybe try Meguiar's Wheel Brightener (acid based) or CarPro IronX.
Hi Pan I gonna use GTechniq ceramic coating on my car just wondering if I can apply C2 V3 after the coating, if so how long I have to wait to apply it.
Watch my video fully, I talk about this. I would do one coat of Crystal Serum Light, and add two coats of Exo V4 as the top coats. That's what is recommended from GTechniq. Don't wash your car for 1 week after the coating application. And the, when you do maintenance washes, that's when you can start using C2V3 to maintain the finish.

My 4Runner has a clear plastic protector on the front bumper and sides from the factory. What do I do about this before I ceramic coat it? Remover it? Coat it? Thanks
You can just go over those with the same Gtechniq CSL ceramic coating, or use their C4 plastic trim coating.
