Dan's a really great modeler, for sure. Don't be too disappointed, as there are other really great modelers who are likely to make appearances from time to time here. Stay tuned!

Really disappointed that Dan isn't with TSG anymore..Great episode of MR101!

Yes, but he has decided there are more important things to do, and I wish him the best of luck with all that. There's some really cool stuff planned for this year that will be even better than what you have seen in years past.

Thanks Dan for all that you have shared. So much enjoyed the Dan's models segments. Hope that they will still be available to watch. Sorry to see you go.

Sorry to see Dan go and thanks for all that you shared. He will be missed. He really sparked my interest in the hobby and answered many questions that I had through his videos. He covered a lot of subjects in detail, which helped beginners like me immensely. Sorry to see him go. For the next person that takes his place; they will have big shoes to fill.

One more tool suggestion. I use emoryboards with two sides, rough and smooth for all kinds of sanding, removing nubs after cutting a piece of a sprue etc. I also cut them down into smaller pieces and use them like sanding sticks in tight spaces.
An unrelated comment from your session on passenger cars. Regarding the articulated cars on SP. Articulated cars were first tried on the Zephyrs of CB&Q as well as UP and the SP. The idea of eliminating one truck was a weight saver particularly when they were trying to build light fast trains like the pioneer zephyr. You could save hundreds of pounds by eliminating one truck. Eventually Burlington and SP realized that the draw back as that if an articulatecd car went out of service both cars in the pair were sidelined, or the entire train in the case of the Pioneer Zephyr.
Really appreciate all the work you put in on the videos you post, both the 101 and layout tours. Outstanding!

Guys: I love these TSG Multimedia videos. They are well produced and masterfully done. Thanks Dan and John. However...........
I do not understand any reason for the blasting acid rock, heavy metal music at the beginning and end of the videos. At the beginning I get blasted with it until I'm ready to fight, randomly mate, or go for my gun. Blood pressure up 50 points. Then, this soothing voice personality (Dan) comes on and calmly narrates the video. Blood pressure drops 50 points and I'm in learning mode. Then, all of a sudden at the end, it's back up to fight, mate, or go for your gun. Makes no sense; one is not compatible with the other. If this were a video about cage fighting or drag racing, I might get it. Otherwise............??? Anyway, best of luck to Dan. And, thank the Lord for John.

Having to rekit out my lost hobby tools, these last two videos have been gratefully helpful. Also I do want to point something out to everyone here, when it ocmes to rotary tools, DREMEL. QUality tools do matter and every list of tools from Model Railroader to Garden Railroader, their lists specificalyl say Dremel because tat is the best rotary tool you can get your hands on. Dan leveling up with his hobby knife is how I felt when I got my first dremel lol

Several years ago someone gave me a ton of N scale trains because I use N scale. Well taught myself a hard lesson; don't use 3 in 1 oil to lube your locomotives. The will run but they won't move 😂
