- Evan Mobley is an upcoming super that nobody in the NBA is talking about at all, and i'm not saying its because hes not getting the attention he deserves, because he was out for over a month, and he still has yet to show that he can be consistent, but what he just did against Victor Wembanyama and the spurs really just opened a ton of eyes, and to me if he can just stay confident in himself and play aggressive, then he can be one of the best players in the league, and in this video i'm gonna break down how he was so dominant in the win over the spurs, and what he needs to do moving forward to continue to be a dominant force.

It's really very simple. That 3 point shot opens up everything, not only for him but for his teammates. With him able to function as a stretch four on steroids, they could start Okoro, live with his offensive limitations and get his shut down defense. Then they would have Strus, Lavert, Niang, Wade, and Merrill as snipers off the bench. That's a championship roster IMHO.
Championship is coming this year. If Mobley can shoot 4 3s a game that'll be enough of a threat to open up the game. Get a rested mitchell come playoffs with space and strus garland merrill and other snipers alongside him and we are rocking.

What a game for Mobley and i'm so beyond happy he's back. I'm sure sure all those supposed Cavs fans who thought he made us worse and didn't think he would help when he came back are eating crow right now. He truly makes a difference and makes this team better. A potential future all star and DPOY candidate level talent. I hate that fans these days give all these young players with hype around them no time to develop and just expect greatness instantly. Guys like Mobley and Garland still got their whole career ahead of them man and wish them the best of success. Also all my thoughts here apply to Darius as well except for DPOY obviously and i'm so happy both of our guys are back.

His jump Hooks could use some work too you can see him attempting to perfect hook shots in almost every game he plays

People are giving up too quickly on Mosley... Some people mature slower than others but like you said, a couple more years of eating and lifting. And this dude is going to be one of the top players in the league....

I rewatched the threes he took last night and then watched clips of him shooting threes last year and his rookie year. It's a small sample size but his form is looking more fluid. He wasn't bringing the ball back over his head like he's done in the past

As a cavs fan, I've been hard on him too, but it's easy to forget how young these guys are. With confidence, muscle and experience, he will be unstoppable. I just hope it's with the Cavs!
Keep working, on the court, off the court, in the gym. Evan will be an allstar soon. That is the next step for him personally
Giannis has said Mobley will be a superstar. He is only 22 (23 in the spring) I believe that the most improved player on the Cavs is Okoro, who although was always a great defender, has developed an outside shot. He doesn't overdo it but usually has 2-3 3 attempts and and is shooting a respectable 38.5% from behind the arc.

In starting to question Darius Garland man, i know he was out for a month but 4 point in 20 minutes for a guy who was an All-Star 2 season ago is not acceptable at all
You're a bit too harsh... He was on a liquid diet & lost 15 lbs... There's no questioning Garland's ability... If there's anything to question, it's his turnovers or his lack of on point defense... He averaged 19 pts & 6+ assists as a true point guard... What is it you want to see...🤔🤔🤔
@@henrybiggs3113fax but tbh the only problem dg has is just most of the time he doesn’t play smart, a lot of careless to’s and waste of plays, but imo all he really needs to work on is being smart with the ball, we don’t need him to average over 20 tbh if we got Mobley playing like this and bench stepping up

Mobley and Okoro & Allen are what makes up the core of our strong defense! Only a fool would want to get rid of any of these three.

I don't see Wemby being a defensive player of the year candidate. His defense is awful. Yes, he does block a ton of shots. But that's one small aspect of defense. And honestly....it's one of the least beneficial aspects of good defense. When you block a shot it's hard to control where it's going to end up, and the other team ends up getting the loose ball half the time. Meaning they get to reset and try again. He is also a good rebounder....but his post up defense is god awful. It's detrimental at this point. Mobley and Allen feasted on him last night. And I wouldn't say either of them are considered consistent offensive threats.
As for Mobley....first consider....he's currently my favorite player. However, I don't see him becoming an offensive superstar. He's just lacks that killer instinct and confidence you need as that type of player. I think he can improve to be like an 18 pt per game guy....but he'll never be a 26 or 28 pt per game guy.
