Joshua King Its not actually bulletproof its bullet resistant. The way it frayed where the bullet was shot at it I could tell it was a ceramic plate and not a steel one. Ceramic plates degrade after each shot.
Jack ok, so its not bulletproof but bullet resistant, and the fact that ceramic plate degrades after each shot, why are they still surprised to see that it's still doing its job? considering the fact that it's still new judging from the fact that when they showed it to us it doesn't have any damage yet?
JVCD its because you can tell from the video that non of them are well trained with firearms. even the kid who's pistol it was looked as if he just bought the thing. also wanna point out that shooting the body armor or the book at a major angle was just stupid. if they really wanted it to ricochet (even though with those two materials its very hard) then being at that angle is the way to do it. *Ceramic with fiber backing body armor is not designed to ricochet (no body armor is). its design to break the bullet into tiny peices and then be caught by the carbon fabric behind the ceramic*

The phrase "pennies on the dollar" came from mass manufacturing, even in electronics, because companies order millions of a product at a time, they often get them for pennies for every dollar we spend on them. I would not be surprised one bit if apple spends around $60 for the cost of manufacture of each iphone. I do manufacturing engineering and that number seems accurate with everything else that is manufactured.
