- Start with an image (like a logo) and end with a 3d model to use in Sketchup for 3D printing. Software used:
Inkscape: inkscape.org/
Sketchup:www.sketchup.com/
Sketchup is free for many schools. The online free version of Sketchup won't work for this method.
To some one who comes from Blender, this is a weird way to create faces, but it works, I'll take it. Thank you!
thank you🙌🏻
Awesome! You just save me a lot of time and energy! I just downloaded Inkscape and it works!

Thank you so much. Really helpful. Saved a lot of time
thanks .. that was helpful .. you're the best !!!
This won't work if you don't have pro version. You can only input .dfk files with Sketchup pro
For $350/yr the pro version better be able to extrude PNG, SVG files without needing another program. If not I'm buying different software
I've always made it so awkward, thx for the Tutorial.
What kind of recording program do you use?
thanks for this tutorial! very helpful
