@@shawnlee5482 Yeah, you can. For geometric objects such as houses, look into something called fSpy which can match camera angles and export those to Blender -- but you still have to model the object yourself. More generally, and especially for more organic forms, check out photogrammetry where you can make very detailed models from a large series of photographs. You can even use video shot from your smartphone with you walking around the object. Meshroom is a free and opensource program to convert those images into a 3D model which you can then use in any 3D software to clean up and refine.
This is very impressive. Back in 2010 I was doing 2D to 3D conversion for hollywood movies and it was a million times more tedious than this. Of course, technology has advanced much since then.
This is a really excellent and clever web tool, with a lot of promise. The only thing missing really is a feature like Photoshop's Magic Wand or Polygonal Lasso tool to make the selection of objects a lot easier and precise. Either way, great video.
Oh my god this is exactly what I needed. This saves me loads of time and is much easier for me than to create a model from scratch. At least there is something to work with.

Thank you soooo much for this! I make storyboards as a part of my instructional design work, and I've wanted to learn 3D modeling, mostly just to amp up development presentations and challenge myself to learn another auxiliary skill. Your tips are going to be so helpful! Thanks!

Holy crap! Great find! I have a project where my live actor has a symbol burned on his hand that I want to glow (like embers), and I've been having a terrible time modeling it to match the live footage. With this, I can just do what you did and get my model perfect. Then I just need to animate the effects! THANX!
This seems like it could become very powerful very fast if it were updated to be able to include being able to define the model's sides and back, plus an auto-trace. It'd certainly be interesting if it gained the ability to take a drawn character reference sheet and compose a model out of such a thing.
@@MiguelDLewis Technological advancements tend to be pretty agnostic to the job market. The problem more than anything is that there still "has" to be a job market because society "can't function without money".
