Just subscribed. I like your no bs approach. I have a 20yr benz still shines. Never been polished but just used iron removal with clay towel to get all decon out. Car always sits outside in the sun never garage. What product to you recommend to keep paint protected? I was going to do a ceramic coating but from listening to other people's feedback I was questioning whether that would be a good option. I was thinking a spray would be a better option. Would love to get your opinion. Thanks

Jimbo’s TAS is one of the slickest spray ceramics too. Tons of durability and hydrophobicity claims out there, but I’d love to see a slickness comparison. TAS is silky smooth, so satisfying.

I applied it after a wash and clay towel, no polish or surface prep and got almost 3 months out of the old formula. I was very impressed with how easy it was to apply. If you are doing a spray on ceramic selant, such as Seal 'N Shine, and it is streaking, simply remove with damp mf towel. I have never seen streaking from Seal 'N Shine, but I have with their Hybrid ceramic spray. I have used Griot's 3 in 1 ceramic spray with no streaking. And it seems durable...
Griots is the standard for off the shelf longevity for sure. If you work in direct sunlight or humid environments (I live and work outdoors in Ohio) streaking is very real for Griots and SnS. Jimbs was impressively great against streaking even in bad conditions (90+ degrees and 60+% RH) conditions.
SnS is a terrible product. Reduces gloss with below average water behavior. Its only strength is its oleophobic qualities which helps it in torture tests. In the real world it doesn’t last long at all.
JMHO on the macro and micro ive heard when i was in college lol,,,Using macro emul common because of its easy to produce and stable which is not a bad idea, using micro emul is not an easy route because eveything has to mesh with each other including the surfactants u use, ph level, temp and etc which most companies does not choose this route because the product can fail at any given stage. So i understand why companies go the macro route. Now for the benefits, micro is better than macro for its filling and how it stays on the panel BUT the panel needs to be prepped right and also change the packaging as Micro emul are sensitive to UV, Jimbo tough sealant is good product (i have included it on my rotation of sealants) that can go head to head with the best, my suggestion is to educate on how the product should be use, stored and what products it cannot be mixed with and all that to maximize the sealing property of the product and have a consistent results everytime. Lastly to preserve the chemical inside, keep it much more stable and not have any headaches in the future which can be costly is to switch to a dark bottle. Now what's for lunch? lol

15:50 you mention only about 2 oz are needed for a car using regular application, do you have an estimate how much is needed for the spray and rinse application? 4 oz? 6? 8?
I think that product is pretty streaky so the same raw material that’s making it. Streaky is also giving the gloss and is also darkening all the plastics.

@@autodetailingpodcast I have been using meguiar's bug & tar remover, works but I notice I am having to do 2 treatments of it most of the time. I don't mind using the bug scrubber but I'd prefer if I could just treat it, then come through with the pressure washer and blast them off. More often than not it removes that inital layer of them, but still have that bug residue on the paint I live in Arizona btw. Super hot panels
I personally use the super Soaper in a pump sprayer and if needed a big sponge. I’ve also had great success with just an APC, a lot of people comment saying they also love dark fury. I would try one of those and see how it goes!

To be honest your my favorite definitely more trust worthy than pan, but you killed your supper soaker by suggesting 4 ounces what a terrible launch don't think you will recover from that.
4 oz for a touchless wash is good. Bilt Hamber for example, the market leader in the category, recommends a 2% pir which can be more than 6oz depending on the flow rate of your pressure washer.

It won’t remove it but it will hurt it a little bit.
