I did a 3-way test with the new Collinite spray sealant, Jimbo's Hard as Shell (HaS - original) and Griot's 3in1 on the hood of my vehicle. For ease of application: by a wide margin it was HaS, then 3in1 then Collinite. Snake oil as in it's not as good and he boasts it is. At the end of the day they are just spray sealants. They aren't designed to be like a full blown coating, they're easy to apply and can both be used as a drying aid to re apply, UV and hydrophobics are good enough for most people.

Seal & Shine stripe between them to show them who he's still the King please.. :).. hahaha
Haha!
What has been the best performing sealant you have tested?
th-cam.com/video/OmE-1XArSwA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=LyuWNJvx5cIAd6W4 in my opinion has been the best and easiest to use.
@@autodetailingpodcastand what's the 2nd best spray sealant you've ever tested?
@@TheBreakfastLoverwould be TW seal n shine
@@autodetailingpodcast I can see that. Seal n Shine seems to be very chemically resistant when fresh, however it seems to be susceptible to... time. After 3 months or so the hydrophobics fade pretty quick.
I remember seeing a video where Yvan said the scent was red Certs (also showing his age lol)
That’s C6 Ceramics Mist
@diydetailofficial ahhh! I knew it was one of the products! My grandpa used to always have the wintergreen Certs on him! RIP Certs lol.
Hi Jimbo, how do you think these two hold against tthe new ceramic sealant of Collinite, did you try that?
I haven’t tried the new stuff yet.
I'd be inclined to go for the Collinite
Forensic Detailing tested it out. Collinite Beadcoat was more durable than TW Seal n Shine when tested with Bilt-Hamber Surfex HD (highly alkaline). But the TW was slightly more durable than Beadcoat in a separate test using Gyeon Total Remover (highly acidic).
I did a 3-way test with the new Collinite spray sealant, Jimbo's Hard as Shell (HaS - original) and Griot's 3in1 on the hood of my vehicle. For ease of application: by a wide margin it was HaS, then 3in1 then Collinite. For surface feel: HaS was very smooth, 3in1 has that very noticeable carnuba-waxy feel, and my least favorite was Collinite that was a bit rough/grippy. All 3 had great water beading initially. All 3 improved gloss, but the HaS had that glass hard shine look. Durability: Collinite started failing first just after 2 months followed shortly thereafter by Jimbo's HaS. Griot's 3in1 is still going strong. I will be giving the Collinite away/not using again. If I get the newer Jimbo's TaS I will do another side by side with Griot's.
@@daggerNC86 I applied Collinite Beadcoat on one half of my car, Xpel Ceramic boost on the other half. And on my 2nd car I applied Apex BC9 throughout. After 2 months the Xpel failed while the Collinite is still going strong. The Apex BC9 still going strong as well.
How can i buy your products, im on mexico but this option does not show on the shiping options
15:52 that water would not have sticked if u aimed at it. Btw, without calling names, take the information for what it is. People who are more close to them said that they are both the same just a different smell. Not wanna open pandoras box here… Just like the rinseless V2 is just V2 because they had problems with supplies and let another manufacturer make it now, period… Am i gonna make these claims hard? Not at all, these people have inside information and im just a random from the internet. 😊 That being said, i love DIY rinseless and also ceramic gloss. It sheets the water better than beading and keeps the car looking clean. Just the whole mystery always behind those products is something i never liked, but good to know anyway i find. DIY products just work. ;)
I am very pleas2d with the results of the DIY products and have no thought of trying the Clean line by Pan.
@@rmachetti9717 same rly. On top of that the guy from DIY is fun to listen to and gives ton of tips.
The reason for V2 DIY Detail Rinse Less Wash was to improve the product. We actually have more than one factory making it, that way we can keep up with demand. We have our own formulas, which allows us to have them made by different contract blending facilities under the supervision or our chemists. Your “inside” information is nothing more than a rumour.
@@diydetailofficial comes from one of ur C6 installers. 😊 🤷🏻♂️ edit: one of ur CERTIFIED installers. Just like where the chemists are from
Turtle Wax - Rinseless wash, incredible suds, ceramic gloss, tire dressing
3D Car Care - Gold Standard Polish (probably Owner's Pride is identical)
ECP Inc. - 3/5/8 Year Ceramic coatings, interior ceramic, interior clean and protect
Technician's Choice (ECP Inc.) - Quick Beads (TEC582 concentrate + graphite flakes + DI water)
Generic products - Iron remover (identical to Owner's Pride DeconX), All Clean (same as Owner's Pride), Panel Prep (IPA), Water Spot Remover (vinegar), Tree Sap remover (methanol).
Pads: Uro fiber
There is nothing wrong with it. But there is no need to call them rumours to keep the shine high for nothing. We all know to a certain degree how the marketing and all works, no need to keep a curtain up for people like Pan does with the best of the best.
Btw have a look at a distributor of DIY who gets lead by a bunch of people who worked for gorillaglue and set people up and ran with their money. Check the reviews and act upon. Or brand gets a bad name because of it while u perfectly simplified detailing which is nice of u all. Asterics reiniging in the Netherlands.
That's interesting. What are the names of the V1 manufacturer and the V2 manufacturer? (I ask as I prefer V1 over v2).
Thanks for the review. Beading on both products looks average.
100%
what no opinion on which was better ? The DIY seemed to last slightly better imo but very little in it tbh
Neither one is great. Both are mid.
Thank you for sharing
Gotta get more super soaper next month already
Pan has a stereo worth over $200,000, he is making money like everyone else
Awesome! Good for him.
Being the clean freak I am about my rides, i would be the one parking where i didnt have to go through the water going through the parking lot 😂😂!! 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️😆 I know, ppl on the Internet 😂!!!
You and me both!
Watch out pan might sue😂
Really?!? For what?
@@autodetailingpodcastGreasy Pan is fighting back tears and having imaginary arguments in his shower about how hard he will “own” his “haters” aka anyone who doesn’t post reviews saying his product is the BEST EVER 😂 What @calvertschmued2920 meant to say was that if Pam the Advertiser gets exposed again he might actually have a public meltdown
Gotcha. Give it time then. I’m sure he will be commenting on this thread.
Pan’s a nob so I’ll pass anyway.
Any money they are the same product. DIY has an "8 year" coating and sprayable polish, now Pan has the same😅. I asked Pan who actually makes his products as you know he didn't build his own facility. No answer of course😅.
@@patb5266 he's just copying Yvan and Nick's MO. They may not be the same pricing but their structure is his go too guideline
I've noticed Yvan doesn't comment on his product line videos anymore. No more congrats or anything.
You have to be really stupid to think they're the same products. Offense meant.
So who did the best?
Both did about the same
Have you ever used Dawn dish soap or Tide in a torture test. I saw some TH-camr saying you could use Dawn to wash your vehicle. This 2024 not 1974, crazy stuff out there on TH-cam.......lol
I haven’t tried that
Actually gyeon wants you to use dawn as a prewash b4 applying their ceramic pro line .
"CLEAN"...👎👎👎👎
It works great actually
I was close to getting that Ryobi blower but not after this video. Jeez that thing is average.
It works well for what I need it to do. Especially these test
Sorry whats the point we watch theses tests to find out which one you think is best as then we can still make our own mind up your should give us your opinion and you should put the links for the others ceramic spray sealant tests and why not give us your opinion on which ceramic spray sealant is the best as your supposed to be an car detailing expert that's the main res we watch TH-cam channels instead of keeping us guessing and then we still can make our own minds up
This is my favorite: amzn.to/3BVy0Ju
I second your solid point.
Come on…no opinion? I just spent 20 minutes watching the video for an opinion.
Clean is relabelled, diy detaili products.
many are suspecting this, but do we have proof?
False
Neither
I asked DIY detail on their channel but didn't a response or maybe they havent seen the question if the CLEAN product if its essentially a rebranded product from DIY Details or made from the same blending factory, cause used both and noticed the similarity and i told him as per Pans statement that he has his OWN team of chemist and mixes his product. And this test confirms by friends claim hence i owe him lunch tomorrow as we made a bet prior if someone tests both products side by side, damn didnt know itll be this soon , i thought will play around until.
I don’t think any brand would admit to something like that. What’s for lunch?
@@1kontrabida and you won't get a response from DIY about it.
Pan's already jumped down his unveiling video, that he probably partnered with the same parent company, and that it's just a rip off of DIYs product structure.
They may not be the exact same formulations but doesn't mean they are mixed/manufactured and packaged by the same company, or
@@autodetailingpodcastObssesed garage, extreme solutions are just a few who claims BB blnding private labels for them, bottom line to formulate ur own product it takes a lot of time , money and most importantly R&D and licensing ie patent. But Pan presented hisClean products as if he has his own team that works day and night to produce the best products, was disingenuous and misinforming the public didnt sit well with me, because i was one of those that believed. Thats why lunch is best served cold lol!
@@gtileo Pan is just that guy that is not.
@@1kontrabida - yup! I’ve actually worked with OG on his soap. I’ve played in the blending “sandbox” for many years and I’m well aware of the games that are played.
In the real world your never going to put a wheel cleaner fallout on to wash after you put on a sealant.
To do a proper real world test then your going to more than likely use some sort of bug remover on your maintenance wash...mabey first try a citrus pre wash then an APC and then a bug remover, tar and glue remover and work your way up to the fallout and panel wipe
The torture test are simply one way to test products. They simply give us a standard test to gauge products. More times then not it has been accurate for how the product perform in the “real world”.
The Canadian snake oil salesman challenge.
Huh? Ceramic spray sealants are FAR from "snake oil" and Yvan doesn't tout DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss around like Pan did with his new products. But ok boomer.
@@Dead__Byte Snake oil is actually incredibly hydrophobic.
Seeing the SDS sheets they’re definitely not snake oil.
These tests are far more extreme than what you should be doing to your vehicle.
Unfortunately this negativity is the downside of the industry
Snake oil as in it's not as good and he boasts it is. At the end of the day they are just spray sealants. They aren't designed to be like a full blown coating, they're easy to apply and can both be used as a drying aid to re apply, UV and hydrophobics are good enough for most people.
Chem-X SnakeOil is actually one of the most durable foam and rinse sealants out there. Just as good if not better than Carpro HydrO2Foam and Labocosmetica Revitax.
Both an almost the same.
Why too much hate for CLEEN? Don’t like it don’t buy it.
Create your own .
I have my own already. No hate at all. Just doing demos as I have for years.
At least your honest not bought, sold, and conmen like those 3 clowns. They jumped on the ego maniacs team first chance they got.
7 days curing time FK
That was just for me. Neither brand says you have to do that. Just wanna be clear.
Torture tests are such a joke.
Why?
"This is not super hydrophobic... so this is what you can expect... after... you know."
Use your words. After an extreme torture test.
Cheap shot
LOL
Nice test and not biased to any of this product. I want to see this between Koch Chemie Spray sealant against any of this spray sealant as well.
