Yeah, from now on I will stick with the following brands:
      - Koch Chemie
      - Gyeon
      - Car Pro
      - DIY Detail
      - Adams
      - P&S
And I'll try Jimbo's latest product. These brands work for me, but maybe not for others. That's cool.. I too am a DIYer. Retired and living comfortably. I don't need OG equip.. But he is very entertaining. Now I am downsizing what is in my detailing cart. I seriously doubt that most guys can really tell the difference between the different premium product brands. As long as I don't neglect taking care of my cars and keeping them away from the elements, I should be O.K.. I find that using the proper technique and tools learned on YT are very important! Thanxs You Tube!

I totally agree with you. As a beginner, and I mean beginner, my mentor has been and continues to be the internet. The first videos I watched were from DIY, so I jumped on that band wagon and have about 80-85% of their whole product line!! I did buy some quality MF towels and some towel cleaner/rejuvenator from rags to riches. I will be doing my first coating today because I wanted to experience that process (DIY's graphene coating - around $60.00). There are many products I want to try, but Ive put the brakes on for now and agree with you completely that, for the most part, most enthusiast's can't tell product A from product B. From the internet, I have learned how to properly wash a car and believe in the foam, rinse, foam-contact or rinesless, rinse, rinesless-contact because Ive done it that way and it works; maybe a little all purpose cleaner if extra dirty or bug guts, ect... Now Ive learned that your 5 year coating may need to be "unclogged" after 6 months or so depending on driving habits, garage kept, ect...that was a shocker in a way, because, why can't you just wash it/take car of it and ride that 5 year coating wave? Moving forward, I will be using old school compound, polish and wax, or just apply some type of sealant and take care of it as usual. Im more willing to do a light decon on that -vs- having to do it (or pay to have it done) on a thousand dollar coating (went there too). There are just too many products out there; its confusing - just for the tires and rims, you can use at least 4 products - stuff for tires, stuff for rims, multiple and different brushes for the barrels, the face - you get my drift..so thanks for your comments - glad to know others are starting to get it - Im not bashing the industry. I continue to watch videos and learn. I love detailing; can't get enough of it!!! It's just becoming confusing due to the enormous amount of products flooding this market. Thanks!!

Good test and comparison--thanks! Yes, both products do a pretty good job of providing gloss and slickness. And I'm glad you emphasized: no, neither product is designed to compete with a wipe-on ceramic coating. They are designed to be fairly quick and easy to apply. Under normal conditions, you'll probably get one to three months of protection--depending on your specific circumstances.
I applied a so-called 9-year wipe-on Ceramic w/ Graphene coating, and it looks like I'll be lucky if I get 4 or 5 years out of it. Granted, my truck is a daily driver that is parked outside at work 5 days/week; and is subject to hot summers and cold winters. I would probably use the PAN or DIY sprays just to add a bit of a topper to my existing coating.

Personally, I’m a big fan of DIY Ceramic Gloss, it’s my favorite by far. Last weekend, I tried Clean’s ceramic spray on my wife’s car, and it was impressive. We have the DIY ceramic gloss and Pans Clean Spray Sealant . Both are great by our assessment. Ease of application for both, wipe off is easy, no smearing, no streaking, evaporates great, nice gloss. I personally can’t say which one is better as I like them both. Myself nor my clients are going to be spraying these chemicals on their vehicle so it’s really irrelevant about these alleged torture tests. We specialize in applying ceramic coatings so anytime we use a spray seal like DIY, ceramic gloss or Pans sealant is typically for a topper. In the pharmaceutical industry , when developing drug products, we do the same thing where we stress test , storing it under higher temperatures to see how fast they would degrade, to determine or project shelf-life. We also do extreme stress tests on the drug , extreme low and high pH, oxidizing agents etc , to see what impurities would come out of the drug. But they all have a reason for it.
When you apply these super harsh cleaners on the treated paint surface , obviously they would naturally degrade, as it was not meant to handle that. I mean these are detailers, not ceramic 9H coatings.
Infotainment , sure, but a bit meaningless, not informative at all. You can compare performance like beading, gloss, ease of application, etc…. These are maintenance products, which means you use it fairly regularly.

I did a 3-way test with the new Collinite spray sealant, Jimbo's Hard as Shell (HaS - original) and Griot's 3in1 on the hood of my vehicle. For ease of application: by a wide margin it was HaS, then 3in1 then Collinite. For surface feel: HaS was very smooth, 3in1 has that very noticeable carnuba-waxy feel, and my least favorite was Collinite that was a bit rough/grippy. All 3 had great water beading initially. All 3 improved gloss, but the HaS had that glass hard shine look. Durability: Collinite started failing first just after 2 months followed shortly thereafter by Jimbo's HaS. Griot's 3in1 is still going strong. I will be giving the Collinite away/not using again. If I get the newer Jimbo's TaS I will do another side by side with Griot's.

15:52 that water would not have sticked if u aimed at it. Btw, without calling names, take the information for what it is. People who are more close to them said that they are both the same just a different smell. Not wanna open pandoras box here… Just like the rinseless V2 is just V2 because they had problems with supplies and let another manufacturer make it now, period… Am i gonna make these claims hard? Not at all, these people have inside information and im just a random from the internet. 😊 That being said, i love DIY rinseless and also ceramic gloss. It sheets the water better than beading and keeps the car looking clean. Just the whole mystery always behind those products is something i never liked, but good to know anyway i find. The reason for V2 DIY Detail Rinse Less Wash was to improve the product. We actually have more than one factory making it, that way we can keep up with demand. We have our own formulas, which allows us to have them made by different contract blending facilities under the supervision or our chemists. Your “inside” information is nothing more than a rumour.

    • @NoFix
      @NoFix 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@diydetailofficial comes from one of ur C6 installers. 😊 🤷🏻‍♂️ edit: one of ur CERTIFIED installers. Just like where the chemists are from
Turtle Wax - Rinseless wash, incredible suds, ceramic gloss, tire dressing
3D Car Care - Gold Standard Polish (probably Owner's Pride is identical)
ECP Inc. - 3/5/8 Year Ceramic coatings, interior ceramic, interior clean and protect
Technician's Choice (ECP Inc.) - Quick Beads (TEC582 concentrate + graphite flakes + DI water)
Generic products - Iron remover (identical to Owner's Pride DeconX), All Clean (same as Owner's Pride), Panel Prep (IPA), Water Spot Remover (vinegar), Tree Sap remover (methanol).
      Pads: Uro fiber
There is nothing wrong with it. But there is no need to call them rumours to keep the shine high for nothing. We all know to a certain degree how the marketing and all works, no need to keep a curtain up for people like Pan does with the best of the best.
Btw have a look at a distributor of DIY who gets lead by a bunch of people who worked for gorillaglue and set people up and ran with their money. Check the reviews and act upon. Or brand gets a bad name because of it while u perfectly simplified detailing which is nice of u all. Asterics reiniging in the Netherlands.

Since it got brought up, Here’s why Tough As Shell is worth the extra cost:
      1. Easy to Use - It’s simple to apply, giving you exceptional results without the hassle.
      2. Unmatched Durability - Long-lasting protection that keeps your car looking its best with fewer applications (you can watch my torture test on it)
      3. Unique Micro Emulsion Technology - Unlike most products, Tough As Shell is a negatively charged micro emulsion. While most (if not all) others, positively charged macro emulsions attract dust like magnets, Tough As Shell helps keep dust at bay - a game-changer in car care that most can’t offer.
And to top it off, my customer service is second to none, ensuring you get the best experience every time!
