The Class 810 Auroras are due to enter service from next year and they are to replace the Class 222 Meridian. I have been on the Class 222 Meridian trains and they are very nice trains but there isn’t much leg room in those trains.
Hi, I would be travelling from Heathrow Airport to Sheffield by this train. However I will be having 3 bags with me. I just wanted to know if the train has space for the luggage or should I consider some other means of transport ?
It really depends on what time of the year you are travelling. In the run up to Xmas, it will be busy so honestly not sure. Would contact East Midlands Railway and ask. At the very minimum I would travel first class and get an advance ticket if possible. It’s a long trip to Sheffield from St Pancras!
Hi Manav, could you kindly share your experience? I’m in the same situation and wondering if it’d be a hassle traveling to Sheffield by train with 3 bags. Thank you 🙏🏾
@@Laurational Hi The trains are mostly empty and you will get some space on the luggage cabinet which are present near the doors of the each cabin. The luggage cabinet is like a steel frame with space of 4 big luggages to accommodate, 2 luggages up and 2 down. If you see 11:01 time of this video, you will see luggage cabinet on your right. This will give you an idea of how it looks and the space it holds. Hope this helps!
If I were to purchase a first class ticket between Derby and Sheffield would I get catering provided? Not so much bothered by anything else, but it would be good to know in advance whether they bother to provide catering for those who board at the final few stations on the journey or they just come round at the start of the journey after departure from London
Seats are allocated at that time when the tickets are produced. I think I was able to choose whether it was a window seat or aisle but not a specific seat. Hope that helps

Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
Hi, how long do trains stop? Because I will have lots of suitcases. Will there be sufficient time to move everything into the trains?
Depends on the train station. Leicester for example, the wait was a good few minutes. If you ask the staff for help, they should be able to assist
@@RonWandersOff thank you

At seat catering stopped by the time we got to Derby so probably drinks is a definitely but not sure about much else
@@RonWandersOff cheers buddy! I've tweeted them and they claim it should be available... So we'll see 😅
France is amazing when you are wealthy but the South is the best getaway because of the beach
I agree 4:10
When we book the tickets are the seats alloted that time? Or we can choose any seat in that class?

If you had taken the train at Platform 2, you'll be going nowhere.
