- Hello and welcome back to another trip report, today I’m travelling from Nottingham to London St Pancras International with EMR in first class!

Nice video 👍. Seems like quite a pleasant one, especially with the sunset. And it also was probably better for you that first class was empty. You could really stretch out and relax if you wanted to.

Great video. The 1st class offering from East Midlands Trains is excellent. Puts the GWR & LNER to shame.
I think LNERs offering is better, GWR is on par with EMR, but EMRs is definitely tastier and there's a greater abundance of it.

I have used GWR XC SWR LNER TPE FIRST And standard on all my fav LNER 91 second xc HST 3rd Nova 3 then Nova 1 4 IET 5 SWR,
Ps swr was a 159 from Exeter to exc

@@danielstripreports I'm yet to but I got a huge queue forming so it won't be for a while focusing on using a class 385 and ScotRail 43 this year first class. Will probably do the cl222s when I can! They look incredible especially compaired to XC 221S AND 220S 🤣🤣

East Midlands Railway are to replace the Class 180 Adelante and Class 222 Meridian once the Class 810 Auroras have been built and is to enter service from next year. But they should keep some of the Class 222 especially for London St. Pancras-Matlock, Sheffield and Leeds.
Plus the Class 360 Desiro that were used on Greater Anglia are very nice and are currently operating on EMR Connect London St. Pancras-Corby electric service. Which hopefully should run as far as Market Harborough once the MML electrification is completed.
Really sad you didn't capture my bungalow on film (only joking) it's lineside between Beeston and EMP. I took advantage of EMRs £20 standard, £40 first class return offer a couple of weeks ago and found the seats comfortable but the complimentary service was a bit hit & miss. Hopefully the 810s will have learnt from the seat failings of the early 80x units.
Next time I travel down this line I'll try and get it on capture 😅, £40 is a bit of a stretch for this service but it's definitely one of the best in the UK.
@@danielstripreports It was a first class return, fixed trains but included the rush hour services, walk up fares would have been in excess of £100. I travelled on 09.12 ex-Nottingham and 18.05 ex-St Pancras. Being a promotional offer no additional discounts were available.
EMR is best
Hearing that trains services are being upgraded to IETs is like saying an upgrade to a Ferrari is a ford focus
They’re don’t sound too bad imo, especially as theyll have different seats to GWR’s and LNER, hope you enjoyed the video!
They're not going to have the same seats, and try GWR ones were the worst, they are seeming to be less bad as great western were the Guinea pig for these trains
Video ok but confusing at start you said im catching the 712 service to London. But if you are going to use the 12 hour clock at least say 712 pm
Or even better be professional about and say the 1912 service ok.
Think 7:12 flows better with the video rather than saying 19:12, I'll take the advice onboard for next video. Thanks
