Hey, if you ever feel like you aren't living up to your potential, remember even Germany made a horrifically out of date revolver that ejected rounds via a stick. And they got it together later.

There is a certain whimsical sadness when one considers the almost incalculably vast advantage in handling and shootability that the adoption of a Colt’s Model P would have provided, or the fast reloading option that a Smith & Wesson Number 3 variation would have given to German soldiers. Widespread issuance of either of those revolvers in preference to the awkward Über Alles in der Welt disutility of the Reichsrevolvers might, in combination with the influence of Karl May’s popular German Language western novels, have fostered in the 19th century German psyche pro-American sentiments so prevalent that the disastrous wars of the 20th century could have been avoided. Or not.

And ww2 very likely wouldn't have taken place without ww1 having the outcome it had ...
It's hard to predict which level of support fascism would have had in an alternate history were all the powers in Europe would have settled for an exhausted "tie" instead of battling it out till one side had to concede victory to the other though ...

So many European revolvers in this series make the Colt SAA seem bad and then this comes along to show us how good we had it.

Yes it is good to hear “war were declared“. I also enjoyed Othias saying that he missed seeing that. It is been so long since he said it that he said something like “with outbreak of World War II“. Oops 😬

Mae gave the Reichsrevolver a pass for taking into a fight... as a blunt object but still she did approve it!

I think you might be the only channel who wouldn't get harassed about "milking" content (and if someone does that... booo hisssss!) But we all know how hard you work on this stuff, and I'm glad you have the ability to make it better.
Also, on the ergonomics, something kept the Colt SAA around for so long, even into the era when other guns had the advantage, I figure that matters.

BBQ sauce and/or absence of sauce is a regional thing. Good BBQ is good BBQ.

a revolver which however has two advantages: an excellent ammunition, and a perfect manufacture.
every reichsrevolver i have seen was tight and performed amazingly despite two world wars.
it's rare and that's not the case with all Colts.
for the rest, it is really a weapon apart.

Yes but I’d wager the riechsrevolvers were rarely shot as often as colt 1873s. I can see your point but I don’t think these revolvers suffered near as much abuse and there are far fewer of them than colts

Ya'll stopped in at Collector's? Cool! Isn't that a great place? And you got to see them in their new digs. A tremendous improvement over their old venue! That place is like a museum, but everything is for sale. I live in the Greater Houston Metropolitan Area, and stop by there every chance I get. :-)

The lack of lanyard ring is indicative of a commercial version/private purchase. It was omitted for those revolvers.
