I'm all on board for this if Randy channels 'sick fuck' Randy from 2009 for this feud. I imagine Brandi would also dragged into it to give it even more of a personal edge too. Have Randy win it and then Cody regains it and ultimately wins the feud.
I dont think MJF lands in WWE just yet but that guy will almost certainly tangle with Cody again when he does make the jump. And hopefully at a Mania too.
As I observed after the 2023 Rumble, a Cody-Gunther feud would be an immediate headliner, the two are like perfect foils for each other and there's story there between them after two Rumbles in which Gunther was eliminated by Cody both times.
Cody gave a small hint at KO vs. Cody, when he announced the number 1 contenders match. He said that KO thought he was better and Cody thought he was better.
It would be a prime opportunity to set up a Wrestlemania 41 main event where Sami achieves his "boyhood dream come true" by taking the belt from his life long best friend/arch rival
Before watching I'm still thinking an Orton storyline with Randy getting a win in during the program would be amazing. Don't know if he is even on your list yet, but will be interesting to see.
Nope it would be Bad Cody needs to be booked as a stronger champion for now if Randy try to challenge Cody now he should lose maybe After Cody beat the Rock yes
Dear Simon Miller, Sami Callihan is back in TNA so it's time to keep your word and wrestle him (you only came to TNA right after he left). YOU PROMISED! ;)
Also, how long should they let “long title runs” go for consecutively- me personally 12 months is a max for my entertainment, mind you doesn’t mean someone can’t hold it for 2-3 times over 2 years or something drop it at one ppv and win it back at the next,. I get why they did Roman that way to build the roster but I don’t think fans want it going another 3.5 years
Maybe a year or two It should be long because it IS supposed to start another Era and you need a long title but also great title reign for that But they could make longer if they have good long story to tell but I doubt its going to be as good as Roman story
John Cena to win the record breaking title reign with the heel turn he wanted to do years back... keep it for a couple months then drop it in a retirement match
If Cena turned heel, whether he wanted to or not, he would have to stay around for at least 2 years, because his turn would be so huge and draw so many eyes and so much money, that no way he or WWE only do it for a couple of months. He would be NWO Hollywood Hogan level of interesting. You don't do that for a few months. You do that at least a year if not more.
@@anorman051290 So true! It doesn't need the belt the whole year. I really wish he would do it, but I doubt it. UNLESS, he gets recruited by the Final Boss.
@@stevecavalle LOL. I need it. You are a silly person. That's like not wanting Hollywood Hogan. Maybe you are the type that just doesn't know what they actually want until they get it, because it is dumb to say no one needs that, when it would be better than the Bloodline.
"Poor Jinder Mahal, I'm not sure what happened there!" Per Sanga - WWE released Jinder, Veer, and Sanga because they don't care about building their Indo-Asian market. I don't believe that, as WWE is always looking to expand its global reach. However, they don't do well creating characters for Indo-Asian wrestlers, or Middle Eastern wrestlers.. unless they are heels. Sanga and Veer could have been absolute beasts, and I hope they continue wrestling somewhere. As for Cody, have him feud with EVERYONE: Drew, CM Punk, a returning Seth (at some point), Kevin Owens... but when he loses, it HAS to be to Gunther!
What if there was a tournament for #1 contender. The champ gets "injured", and then there's a championship tournament. The finals takes place at WresteMania?
I hope the belts move more now. I don’t want giant streaks where we count days. I’d rather count championships. Orton is the 14 time champ bc he lost it a ton too. I also hope we aren’t locked into the world where the belts can only change at Mania.
Gunther or Solo after changing his gimmick, LA Knight, Dom Dom after he get more experience or The Rock but if he does in the end Cody has to take it back But that title change can only happend after a reign which changed WWE to show that what this new era is all about Even if people are sick of Roman long title reigns doing a short title reign for Cody would not make History if they want to start a new era they have to make Cody first reingn something crazy in a good way
You mention them using a screw job finish for Gunther, one of the things I really liked about his IC title reign is that I can only think of twice where there was legit interference that lead to him winning. Jimmy Uso ringing the bell early, and then early in his reign there was a match with Seamus where he grabbed the shillelagh and used it with a clothesline. Otherwise He's won all his matches in a legit fashion. I wouldn't mess with that too much, or you run into the problem you had with Roman where it was /always/ interference that won his matches. That's predictable and boring.
So a rocky 3 type storyline with Cody and Gunther would be cool Gunther completely breaks Cody spirit and he has to find it again and win the belt back
I could see Sami Zayn doing it, neither of them turn heel, simair to Sami and Neville's NXT rivalry. After Sami is done with his IC run, Sami can face Cody and go back to the promo he had with Cody in the lead to Montreal, Cody be this point having held the title for a while can have a hint of dickish in that Cody knows he better than Sami, after the match (clean no interference) they shake hands, and then we can do a few months of Sami, before pivoting to Gunther or someone like that, and come back round to Cody if he stays on the same brand, or an upcoming star like Breaker, Bate, Dragunov. I think Gunther is the best choice, but i think this could be an interesting route
While I really want Sami to win a world championship I think it would be a waste if he won it from anyone except KO...I would have KO beat Cody at some point this year and have Sami win it from him at WM41. And honestly, after that I would love it most if they feuded for a while and traded the belt alot over the next year with Cody (and perhaps someone else) in the mix aswell...y'know like Cena, Orton, Triple H and Edge having back and forth feuds where the belt changed hands at like every other PPV. We've had so many long runs to build prestige for titles...I would argue it's more than time to switch it up again and have the wrestlers absorb that prestige. Cody ain't gonna break Roman's record, so give him the treatment of the 2000s legends instead where he eventually retires as a 10+ times world champion (the first one in well over a decade)...which would indirectly also mean more title runs for the other established main eventers that were left hungry and dry for the past years (KO, AJ Styles, Orton, LA Knight, Priest), chances for fan favorite underdog champions finally getting their due (Sami, Gable, Repo Man) and have the top cred wrestlers like Drew, Gunther, Seth and Punk have many runs aswell to be proper rivals to Cody. And for the love of...it would FINALLY mean all the lesser PPVs aren't as painfully predictable anymore like they're just filler.
The Rock Doesn't need another title run, he literally had one when he took it from punk all those years ago, Idk if Randy is personally in a position where he wants that responsibility anymore(he hasnt spoken about it on interviews as far as i'm aware), Gunther would be alright but they couldn't do another multi year reign, in fact i think we all need a break from that. They should bounce it around multiple times a year, (2-3 times) and set up different matches with it. It's also kind of unfortunate because all of the amazing stars on the rosters.. are all cody rhodes' friends , everyones a babyface, and it would mean one of them turning on cody, although that could be interesting because then others could turn on that guy.. the avengers could crumble. But this title has so much weight behind it because of Roman, and it feels super duper giga important.. until someone is damn close to the level cody is on.. he should keep it. They gotta work on it.
I'd love to see LA Knight get the title at some point. He's probably gonna be US Champion next, after Logan Paul, but after he loses that... It'd be cool to see him in the big title scene. He'd also be an excellent heel.
LA Knight v Cody at WM 41 face v face is something I would love to see. There have been a couple of face v face title matches at Wrestlemanias before so why not? I don't think anyone would necessarily need to turn heel. Though that being said, I think LA Knight would probably have most of the fans behind him just purely because most would want to see him win the title.
Cody could lose and then win it back against Gunther, to then fight against the Rock in Wrestlemania. I'd want to see Roman vs Rollins (they don't need a title for that feud) and Punk vs Drew for the WHC in next Wrestlemania. But after Mania 41 either of Seth or Punk could challenge Cody for the title if he still has it at that point. This is just my atm fantasy booking lol
ROCK VS CODY SUMMERSLAM 2024 1.) THE BUILD TO THE MATCH: Throughout the weeks have the bloodline attack every ally of Cody Rhodes, have the rock be a SMART, heel by learning from Wrestlemania 40 that Cody has allies, have Tama Tonga & Jacob Fatu, take out Sami, KO, Randy, Jey & Jimmy (if there back as the USOS, by then.) The Cody enters last as the champion and before the bell rings Tama Tonga, Solo, and Jacob Fatu, attack Cody. Have them put him through BOTH announce tables, and the barricade!! Then roll his ass in the ring Jacob Fatu hits him with a moonsault( his finisher) The Rock screams at solo to pick him up and they hit him with a rock bottom spike combo! Cody is OUT! The rock says “ring the bell” 🔔 he puts his foot on Cody’s chest, pins him and wins the championship IMAGINE THE HEAT HE WOULD GET !!!
I dont want to see face vs face match-ups for Cody, Gunther probably the biggest heel available. Chad Gable could get a shot if his heel stable looks good. Unfortunately Logan Paul might get consideration. Dom is also an option, but not for a few months at least, needs a better story. Like control of Judgment vs Preist and his Championship jealousy
He should drop it to Gunther after a 3 month reign, then win it back the PPV after, then have a longer title reign..introduce some jeopardy into these title runs again, we dont need title reigns that last years.
Well I guess it depends how often they want the universal title shown. Before it was rarely defended or seen now what. We are going to see it every week?
If you want to do a shorter reign with Cody and have him regain the Championship later, I think you go to a transitional heel like AJ and then give Cena his 17th somehow. Cena vs. Cody is perfect for a Saudi show to pull in a big payday and return the belt to Cody.
Set up a match with Cena as a face vs. face "pass the torch, be the man beat the man" etc. kinda build. Cena turns heel and wins. Rock wins the rumble. WM 41 main event a triple threat Rock vs Cody vs Cena (c)
I feel like they should have Cody vs Rock at Summerslam. Reigns gets screw either in the Royal Rumble or in a title match at Rumble by Rock to set them up for Mania. Gunther wins the Rumble and challenges Cody.
Gunther wins King of the Ring and then defeats Cody at MitB Rock vs Cody for the peoples title at summer slam Gunther retains at Summer Slam against whoever and enters Bash In Berlin as WWE Champion
Gunther wins MITB SummerSlam: Cody (c) Vs ? *Gunther cashes in* Drew (c) Vs CM Punk Survivor Series (WarGames): Gunther (c) vs Cody CM Punk vs Seth Bloodline Cage Match Royal Rumble Cody (c) vs Rock *Roman screws Rock* CM Punk wins RR WM41 Roman beats Rock Cody (c) vs CM Punk
Honestly, I notice no major difference from before. There were people that didn't want Cody as champ in the first place, just like there were those who did. It is just more noticeable now because he is champ that people are complaining because it's not being drowned out by "Finish the Story and WEWANTCODY" now. Of course, there are some who just wanted anyone but Roman who are turning on Cody already too. Lol
Honestly I’m worried that Cody is already losing steam as champ. He will need a viable heel to challenge him as he beat the top heals challenge already. Gonna be hard to find the next best thing. Gunther is choice one to face him but to take the title I don’t think so. Gunther would be a great early challenger for it.
He isn't losing any steam. If Roman was champ right now, we wouldn't even see the title. People need to stop thinking not being on the show makes you cool.
@@kennyhudson9201 so whose a worthy challenger for our hero Cody? One whose at the same level of build? Who went thru the same level of adversity? It’s created a vacuum, but I am digging the bloodline civil war that’s building. That could lead to some new Cody challengers.
@@RoxRevanharte I don't mind Gunther as an opponent. It's Roman's long reign that created the vacuum, not Cody winning. They'd have the same situation if Roman had won, except there wouldn't even be a worthy Gunther, because they wouldn't do heel v heel, and shouldn't turn Gunther face yet. I think AJ is a good first contender. Especially if they were to have Finn involved somehow because of the Bullet Club connection the 3 of them have.
Why do we have to be negative and think about this already can't we just enjoy his title run? He literally just got it and already y'all talking about him losing it
There is no reason for Gunther to take it from Cody. So No He should go for World Heavyweight Champion, I prefer He's WHC was better than he's WWE title
I understand we may not need every reign to be "super duper long" but getting it back in 6, 8 or 12 weeks? Cody should hold it for atleast a year after ending Romans title reign an wen he does lose it whatever title reigns are after that needs to atleast be 5 or 6 months with no reign being less than 4 months. Hot potato isnt fun either
The better story is the Rock winning it. Have solo win the money in the bank. Money in the bank is always better when The heel wins. Have Solo give it to his tribal chief the Rock to close the money in the bank show.. Then have him cash it in on Cody on the first show on Netflix Raw. Cody enters royal rumble and he is the last person to get thrown over the rope. He then has to win elimination chamber to then challenge the Final boss at wrestle mania.. Cody wins the belt back.
I mean, the right answer is Simon Miller, isn’t it?
I give that an UP!
No it should be repro man
Why?
It should be Randy Orton
I thought this was the obvious choice lol
I think Orton should win it just to get his 15th world title but then Cody should regain it

He should elevate the WHC
Yes probably but not until a signifiant title reign for Cody

Randy Orton vs Cody has a story written all over it. Heel Randy can dethrone Cody
How weird would it be a baby face Roman returns and at some point challenges Cody to get his belt back?
Balor makes the most sense with Seth gone on injury. If he returns in time then it has to be Seth.
It didn't even take the IWC a week to turn on Cody. Makes me so glad that WWE most of the time, doesn't give the fans what they want.
Gunther to answer your question.
Gunther or Rollins at MITB
The fact you’re already talking about it is insulting to Cody.
Simon looks mighty cross, in the thumbnail.😁
Either Gunter or Randy Orton
Nah I think Dominic would get a IC title shot next tbh
How could not have Ryback as one of your Top 10!?!??!?!?! FEED HIM MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why do we have to be negative and think about this already can't we just enjoy his title run? He literally just got it and already y'all talking about him losing it
Exactly, I really don't get this. Especially from Simon.
Daaaammmnnmn Simon. No love for LA Knight?
I want Gunther to be World Champion and I want the guy to beat him to be Xavier Woods.
100% agree that Gunther should be the heel to take it from Cody.
There is no reason for Gunther to take it from Cody. So No He should go for World Heavyweight Champion, I prefer He's WHC was better than he's WWE title
I’m team Gunther taking it off him in Berlin, and Cody reclaiming it at either elimination chamber or wrestlemania
HHH already came out first on the raw after mania. Might as well give it to him 😂
I really don't care who, so long as there is a good story and a good build to it happening.
Yes, it really should be Gunther.
It will probably be Walter
Based on direction WWE going my best guess is Mr Beast
Fantasy booking me says MJF
Logical me says Gunther
12:34 Cody is 22-0 in matches against Seth 😬
Gunther or ilja
Cody's second feud will be with the Bloodline 2.0 and Roman will return to save Cody
MJF!
