I understood putting the IC belt in a tournament after the title change with Hogan vs Warrior at WM VI - It makes no sense for the World Champion to hold the lower belt as well. How do they benefit? The Champ vs Champ matches only benefit the guy with the mid-card belt. It also makes no sense to take the belt off Logan Paul. It needs to be someone like LA Knight who would benefit from it. I would assume the match will end in a DQ finish... but if Cody did win the US Title off Logan Paul it is a belt he could vacate and not tarnish the belt: If Cody has both belts somebody could come after the US Title specifically. Pitting them to be Logan Pauls worst nightmares as a story that can follow Paul wherever he is - whether at a TV show or not. It would allow for a story to unfold. Culminateing with Uncle Howdy vs Paul at Summerslam?
I think the ending will be quite simple. DQ via brass knucks shot. Cody gets back on his feet and hits a cross rhodes (or however it's spelled) as Logan is grinning like an idiot. Crowd goes home happy.
Didn't you guys say just a few months ago that Cody could've immediately dropped the title to someone else and it would be fine?! You said this when you did your video about Damien cashing in on Cody. You said it was 100% kosher, as long as his story was finished. Also, MORE DOUBLE CHAMPIONS. I LOVE THIS. hell I love when someone is built as a tent pole and holds all the belts (looking at aew)
Simple solution, Cody wins the belt and brings back the open challenge. He defends the big belt on PLE's and the US title every week, eventually dropping it to someone like Melo or Corbin on a Smackdown. This could even be the entry point to Cody vs. Randy.
Or better yet have them do the jay lethal type run where he has to defend each belt individually on each pay per view. Have him slowly become more arrogant until he finally turns heel.
I think they debut the new Wyatt 6 in this match and they destroy both competitors or focus on a Cody attack. This way both champs are protected and you get away with no winner because you’ve now introduced a new angle
I'm calling my shot - Wyatt 6 (or whoever this bird thing has been teasing for the past 2 months) show up near the end, after the lights go out. They beat down both Logan and Cody, proving that there's a new force to be reckoned with in WWE. I mean what better way to instantly establish them as some super strong, intimidating group than beating up two of the top dogs in the company in the main event of a big PLE? And then leave people with a cliffhanger, craving for answers on the next episode of SmackDown. or even at the press conference right after the show, where HHH could be as clueless of what just happened as everybody else, blurring the lines like they did on the WrestleMania XL press conference, the one where Rock slapped Cody etc.
People keep bringing up the Wyatt group, but i think it's far more likely we get some bloodline shenanigans. Solo in charge and Cody on the same brand promises more interaction.
I feel like there might be something with Paul...like maybe he's going to be filming a movie or something to where he wants to drop the title. He loses to Cody, and then Cody turns around and abdicates the title so there can be another tournament for it.
They should do what TNA do with the X-Division championship. They should allow US or Intercontinental champions to vacate their titles to challenge for the WWE title
But based on the WWE hierarchy all those who vacate the title would end up losing to the world champ anyways, +plus this idea you have it's already been implemented since 2005 it's called the "money in the bank" briefcase+ plus even at TNA they ended up having a briefcase for each title specifically to cash in for
@@MrLove717 I was referring to Option C in TNA, not the feast or famine briefcase. It’s not like money in the bank where the challenge can happen anytime anywhere, and nobody vacates their own belts to compete in MITB. Option C is vacating the X division title to become number 1 contender. If Logan Paul does that and lose the WWE title match, he can still walk around saying he never lost the US title
Hear me out… Cody wins becomes double champion. There is an eagle on the United States championship. Cody merges the belts to bring back the winged eagle WWE championship.
Well according to Luke @Wrestletalk Logan Paul has plans at Mania to be in a tag match with someone against LA Knight and Simon Miller with Mr. Beast as the special referee.
I would love for Cody to get the US Championship and i hope they give him the double champ moniker as well. Let Cody defend the US belt and he will never be short on opponents.
I can see a big benefit out of this, LA Knight gets to beat Cody for a title, the US title down the way. Give LA Knight to Cody now and you risk killing his momentum and a match between the two is going to happen based on what Cody said about wanting to wrestle LA Knight soon at that press conference after Backlash. Yeah LA Knight beating Logan for the US title is fine but beating the reigning WWE Champion who is also the US Champion for the US title, thats how you make a megastar without hurting either of them
I mean in this LA would just look stupid going for the US and not both. You'll have the wwe champion look weak, the challenger looking dumb for only going for us champ. It's just overcomplicating something when la vs Logan was an easy program organically
Uncle Howdy group debuts and ends the match in a no contest. We get a banger of a match and then no double champs. Logan can roll into Cleveland Summer Slam still champ
What if they merge the titles and they bring the US title only for the women and intercontinental title only for the men? They could create a new belt for Cody after 2-3 months, the month after that they could debut the women's belt, and have both midcard titles being defended on each brand. P.S. i believe is going to end in a DQ
Have Cody win both and then first defence is a two falls to a finish match. First fall is for US Title and second is for the WWE. Or have him defend both at the next PLE pulling double duty, Paul screws him out of the US Belt in the first match then tries and fails to screw him out of the WWE Title in the second match. Or bring back the US Open Challenge. Cody defends the US Title every week on TV and WWE at PLEs. Paul then reappears at a random Smackdown costing Cody the US Title via Brass knucks but then beats down the winner (LA Knight?) after the bell reigniting their feud. Have Knight and Paul feud over the US Belt for a while until Paul wins out back via shenanigans then Knight rolls up on Cody show after, "hey I beat you for the US but I you never gave me shot at the big one." Setting up Knight vs Cody for the WWE Belt.
I feel like this is their way to "merge" the belts and give Cody an updated Winged Eagle belt because they can take eagle off the US title for the double title. He can lose the US title in name and have his world title still look the part.
Potential storyline (longshot) going back to a Seth and Cody. Seth is the only one to hold WWE and US titles. He beat Cena to win the US title to set up Seth vs Sting. The story could be Seth jealous of Cody being in his spot.
Secret option 4: Logan Paul wins both belts cuz rock comes out and flubs it all. Makes Logan vs LA Knight Summer Slam. LA Knight wins, and goes full heel on top. Secret option 5: They do make the US title and WWE title in one after Cody wins. People's Champ belt becomes an actual title. LA Knight wins it. Rides into the sunset. Yes I know I'm giving LA Knight alot. But ask me if I think he deserves it. Go on, ask me! Cuz YEAH!!!!
Logan is a good wrestler but the US title has Roman Reigns Title shades... like 200 days champ with 2 title defenses. It needs to become a workhorse title like the IC belt with a champ that defends it.
here's the best case scenerio with this: cody beats logan. next night on raw jey challenges cody, i don't care about brands, i am so confused with who is where, i just don't give a damn, jey beats cody for the us title. at money in the bank, logan beats jey for the title. summer slam, la knight beats logan. you can't tell me there is a better scenario than that. and even this idea is not the best
I was just thinking, but how about this: Cody wins, takes the title, but then comes back out for the final of King of the Ring to say he can't defend both titles. He declares the winner will be the new US Champ.
I dont think we get a finish in this match. Can see Logan weaseling out somehow and forcing a DQ or BL come in to wreak havoc and beat the hell out of Cody causing a DQ. If its the former scenario then they probably rematch at CATC for the WWE Title only in a stipulation match. So maybe the DQ finish will be done to build even more heat on Logan ahead of the rematch.
I would rather at a later point Cody gets the IC belt... Shamus gets the US belt and then they wrestle and a PLE to see who gets to say they have had all the belts first
Just have Cody win and then he makes a Cody US Open challenge and whomever you want to become champion wins it at some point after Solo interferes which sets up their match. I'm surprised no one is seeing that scenario.
They need to get Cody involved in a new angle or storyline, rather than just feed him random opponents like Styles and Paul. They shouldn't just wait till the Rock returns.
they need to get the belt off paul anyway cuz hes a part time champion to begin with and not bringing any prestige to the belt. however they're gonna do this with a DQ finish for paul so no title changes cuz it doesnt make sense to unify the us belt and the wwe belt.
Can't put US title on Cody cause there is no way to get it off him and keep the title and Cody look good. The only way would be get Cody defend both belts on Night of Champions or something, but then you face a problem that it would look better if he lost the 2nd match (remember how stupid it was when Seth Rollins lost against Cena, clean, for mid title but then defeated Sting, clean, right after that?) but I'm not sure you can justify putting WWE championship before US one... Idk, just makes everything more complicated for no real reason.
I think it will be a DQ finish but I won't be mad if Cody does get double strapped. I much prefer a double strap be a world title and a midcard/tag title than it be two world titles. Two World titles makes the draft and brand split seem pointless but this is double strapping from titles of the same brand, I'm okay with it. Now Logan winning the two straps? That I will have a problem with. I don't hate the guy and he's obviously phenomenal in the ring and mic but world champ at this point? Hell no.

I LOVE THIS. hell I love when someone is built as a tent pole and holds all the belts (looking at aew)
Logan likes those brass knucks so I expect a DQ finish so both titles stay where they are
This will end with DQ with Uncle Howdy arriving
By far the best thing that can happen
Simple solution, Cody wins the belt and brings back the open challenge. He defends the big belt on PLE's and the US title every week, eventually dropping it to someone like Melo or Corbin on a Smackdown. This could even be the entry point to Cody vs. Randy.
Are they trying to recreate Hogan vs Warrior from Wrestlemania VI?
Or better yet have them do the jay lethal type run where he has to defend each belt individually on each pay per view. Have him slowly become more arrogant until he finally turns heel.
I think they debut the new Wyatt 6 in this match and they destroy both competitors or focus on a Cody attack. This way both champs are protected and you get away with no winner because you’ve now introduced a new angle
Who said the us belts on the line
@@jonpoon3896 you definitely right, option C back in the days was goated 🔥🔥👊🥂💯
Great video man 🎉
It's going to be a late 90s, DQ/no contest. 100%
Actually, I think the Bloodline comes out, Logan leaves in fear, Cody eats a beat down. This sets up a big lead up to Summerslam.
We need to see Simon Miller vs. Chris danger
Feel like the Wyatts are gonna choose this match to make their debut.
I would love for Cody to get the US Championship and i hope they give him the double champ moniker as well. Let Cody defend the US belt and he will never be short on opponents.
Logan gets caught using brass knuckles and is disqualified
IF cody wins BOTH titles then its kinda cool since it means he can defend both titles on TV and be a active double champ
Yeah LA Knight beating Logan for the US title is fine but beating the reigning WWE Champion who is also the US Champion for the US title, thats how you make a megastar without hurting either of them
Yes this plus you can still have LA vs Logan with Knight being the one defending instead
I mean in this LA would just look stupid going for the US and not both. You'll have the wwe champion look weak, the challenger looking dumb for only going for us champ. It's just overcomplicating something when la vs Logan was an easy program organically
Favourite guy in wrestling here
Uncle Howdy group debuts and ends the match in a no contest.
Secret option 4:
Logan Paul wins both belts cuz rock comes out and flubs it all.
Makes Logan vs LA Knight Summer Slam. LA Knight wins, and goes full heel on top.
Secret option 5:
They do make the US title and WWE title in one after Cody wins.
People's Champ belt becomes an actual title. LA Knight wins it. Rides into the sunset.
Yes I know I'm giving LA Knight alot. But ask me if I think he deserves it. Go on, ask me!
Cuz YEAH!!!!
I mean I fully expect it to become title vs title by the time we get to the PPV, but as of right now. It isn't.
Logan is a good wrestler but the US title has Roman Reigns Title shades... like 200 days champ with 2 title defenses. It needs to become a workhorse title like the IC belt with a champ that defends it.
Uncles howdy interrupts for a DQ
Cody getting both 🔥
Its easy to be fair.
Logan gets a DQ and neither drop titles. Builds heat for logan and After the DQ carnage can ensue.
here's the best case scenerio with this: cody beats logan. next night on raw jey challenges cody, i don't care about brands, i am so confused with who is where, i just don't give a damn, jey beats cody for the us title. at money in the bank, logan beats jey for the title. summer slam, la knight beats logan. you can't tell me there is a better scenario than that. and even this idea is not the best
Right. You're not gonna have Jay challenge Cody anytime soon.
La Knight needs that title
I was just thinking, but how about this:
Cody wins, takes the title, but then comes back out for the final of King of the Ring to say he can't defend both titles.
Shamus gets the US belt and then they wrestle and a PLE to see who gets to say they have had all the belts first
Alright, my question is...why weren't we allowed to see him scratch his bald head at 3:41?
Wyatt 6 debut, double dq/count out finish
Cody wins US Title.
Combine it with WWE title to make new big eagle belt.
Paul introduces a revamped European Championship a week later.
lol.
Just saw Cody best AJ at the house show in Macon on Sunday (AWESOME MATCH) so maybe AJ interferes for a dq and set up Cody and aj again...
Just have Cody win and then he makes a Cody US Open challenge and whomever you want to become champion wins it at some point after Solo interferes which sets up their match. I'm surprised no one is seeing that scenario.
I mean what if they do a No Way Out 2008 finish, just saying.
They need to get Cody involved in a new angle or storyline, rather than just feed him random opponents like Styles and Paul. They shouldn't just wait till the Rock returns.
Feel like it’s gonna be a DQ finish with a debuting Wyatt 6 getting involved and everyone’s gonna shit on it
Yesssss, my thoughts exactly.
Out here hoping for a DQ finish.
they need to get the belt off paul anyway cuz hes a part time champion to begin with and not bringing any prestige to the belt. however they're gonna do this with a DQ finish for paul so no title changes cuz it doesnt make sense to unify the us belt and the wwe belt.
That is what I keep saying Cody Rhodes needs to become United States Champion in order to truly finish his story
I would like to see the return of Stardust for a one off match
100% it'll end in a DQ when the Wyatt 6 interfere.
Hell no.
2 words.
Shenanigans.
I’m not even gonna try to fantasy book this because there’s so many different options and directions can go. I think it’s gonna be a hell of a match. There’s definitely gonna be run-in or two and maybe even Logan Paul’s brother.
Cody wins it, Logan wins it back in Summer Slam in front of his home crowd in a triple threat
He'll be a grandslam champion when he wins. I don't like it either, but whatever, I guess Logan needs a break. Idk I'm confused also
I kinda like it actually. While Cody is holding the Unsiputed championship we know hes not losing any matches. He takes the US title.. they can bave him drop it anywhere.
They're starting from Cody's patriotism and working their way backwards
