Drew’s facial expressions really sold it for me. Going from shocked, “I can’t believe this is happening again” to “I AM GOING TO FUCKING MURDER YOU.” I felt bad because this felt like his moment, but his segment will be the most anticipated thing on Raw. He’s a true main event superstar at this point.
I really wonder if Drew is going to show up at Smackdown in Chicago and make Punk's life hell.
Especially after the match, you can almost see the exact moment Drew stops caring about anything but destroying Punk. No more title chases, no more resentment about his past, just pure “MUST KILL CM PUNK” energy.
@@matthewhostetter8974 If they’re gonna keep building this all the way to Summerslam, Hunter would be smart to keep them separated on TV for a week or two so Drew’s rage can ferment a bit more. Maybe even keep them separated all the way until MITB, put Punk in the match and have Drew try and fail to cost him, and that way if they want to up the stakes for Summerslam Punk can put the briefcase on the line.
Punk and drew are my favorite wrestlers at the moment, I want drew to win it again, but that punk/drew feud is mass money! Then followed by punk vs Rollins...damn I hope by mania here in Vegas is main evented by punk vs Rollins!
How can he still be taken seriously as main event star when they keep having him lose World title matches? His heel character here was better than he was WWE champion but had nothing to show for it. As far as I'm concerned his heel run is wasted. Losing to mid carder Priest discredits him. Once Gunther wins the World title Drew will never win it.
Saw the ref slide in the ring and I saw the slicked back hair. I immediately yelled at my son “That’s CM Punk!” Heh. The traditional UK variant of flipping the bird was a nice touch too.
The fact people are pissed off about Drew/Priest in a way that’s just getting them more emotionally invested is a testament to how vastly improved WWE’s storytelling has gotten with Hunter in charge. There’s finally logic, continuity and clear character motivations, so twists like this make sense and we as an audience will gladly stay on board.
The ending of AJ/Cody made perfect sense too. AJ’s whole thing right now is he knows his in-ring career is on short time, so of course he wouldn’t want to get clobbered with the stairs and risk cutting his time even shorter.
💯🎯
Looool
Punk and Drew might win feud if the year without having a match lol.
Chelsea Green coming back to the ring wearing the mask made me laugh out loud! Goofy Wrestling for Life!!
Bro I just cackled out loud
Chelsea green got ejected wdym? Do you mean the masked mystery woman?
@@richardsousa2625 Yeah I'm looking forward to finding out who she was on Smackdown.
@@Clyde-S-Wilcox same
I love her she's so funny. They need to push her to the moon 🌚
I thought the main event finish was genius. Drew & Punk both on fire so agree that the feud doesn't need a title involved.
Genius? That's a bit of a stretch.
Damien has to relinquish the title now probably due to injury and so Drew jobbed for nothing.
Absolutely. Was the best possible finish. Raw literally just needs to be Drew interfering in every match giving everyone a claymore just because he's gone completely psycho.
That's such a nonsense excuse. The biggest feud should have the title. The end
@ParadiseDB7 possibly the greatest match in wwe history never involved a title ,.undertaker v hbk at mania. Kane only had one wwf/wwe title reign.and it was literally for 24 hours but he was involved in some if the best matches and will.go down as a legend. Some of takers best matched never involved the title
I appreciated that Punk holding up the two count in Drew's face was also a "fuck you" in Scotland. Good finish.
and the little 'shoulder up' gesture like Priest had kicked out was a nice touch
Chelsea is a treasure and im so glad we have her in WWE
she is generic and a waste of time, stop praising her, simpy boy
I went into this ppv rooting for Damien because I love him and wanna see the judgement day story continue with him as champion, but as the match was starting and everything set in I got really behind Drew and started hoping he would win and got sad when he lost. That just shows me that this match was perfectly executed, since Punk is also a fav of mine and now I think he's an ass lol
Also Chelsea Green is my favorite on the women’s side. She makes me laugh everytime she’s on screen. Give her the title
She needs money in the bank so we're entertained for the next year
Her or Tiffy are the only correct options IMO @@ReFLexX_ii
she has no talent and can;t wrestle, she is just a waste of time, boring girl
i mean only an diiot would love her the most, for no reason
She also looked great in the outfit Saturday night. Looks good, great character super talented. She needs a good run with one of the belts.
I think drew vs punk doesn’t need the title, but love to see finn vs priest for the title
I could see that at MITB then Damien tdrops the title to Gunther at SummerSlam.
True, so much heat already.
@@vishwaa5158la? Maybe or even the motherfucking rock, rumble 2025 is very unpredictable ngl
Finn will win mitb help priest beat Gunther and cash in on priest
Or cody Rhodes vs randy orton for the championship
Love your energy and your perspective. Keep thriving.
Just remembered they teased the idea of Punk as a ref for the Seth/Drew Mania match. Probably an unintentional call back, but still cool
Being there, the initial reaction was heavy booing at the end, but a few of my Scottish pals who were there with me afterwards, see it making total sense. As everyone has said this feud doesn’t need a belt involved with it. It makes perfect sense. Looking forward to Summer Slam!
Triple H basically said in the press conference that Alba and Isla won due to their talent and nothing to do with the mother passing away.
If Vince was still there they'd lose
Which to be fair was really weird how would even mention that a few times.. kinda puts the idea that it might of been the reason why they did win
Why in the world would he say otherwise? Even if it IS the reason, there’s NO way he goes out and says, “yah, that’s why we did that”
And we all believe that, ya they’re so deserving of the title. They’ve been so involved and having so many awesome matches….keep playing the naive fool though 😂
@@KkevrockKwell, if you’ve ever watched NXT you would know that they HAVE had awesome matches and are truly very deserving of the titles.
Great PPV and awesome video. I look forward to these reactions as much as the event itself
Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn winning got me hyped because I didn’t expect it. But after hearing about her mom last night, it made the moment even more special.
And I’ll always be here for CM Punk screwing over Drew. Love them both.
As always, thanks for brightening my day with your wrestling takes, Simon. Seriously, they make me happy.
If you take a step back. It’s the right call. In Paul we trust
HHH DIDNT READ THE LAWSUIT
No, no it's not and Paul is in rinse and repeat mode. Nothing new, all the same stuff.
As much as it would have been great to see both Gable and Drew win, they are involved in storylines right now that are bigger than title wins. Everyone wants to see Otis turn on Gable and for Gable to go full-on mentally. When Drew and Punk finally are in a match together things are going to erupt.
@@matthewhostetter8974I think they still could’ve had Gable win them Otis could’ve turned on him resulting in Gable losing the belt
@@pt5728 Oh I'm not going to argue that. In fact, I predicted myself that Otis was going to snap and accidentally take out Sami, allowing Gable to win. I'm just trying to understand WWE's booking logic as well.
This finish made sense
It was a little too obvious that it was going to happen though
Only because you read online that he was there or likely to be there. They book for the casual fans not for people who watch Simon miller.

I think this not only elevates the feud between Punk and Drew but also elevates Priest as a champion. Something that hasn't really been going well. It's really good story telling that we should try to enjoy while the Bloodline simmers without Roman.
The way WWE is setting up this Punk\McIntyre feud is awesome. It was always fun when the commentators were interrupted by "something going on in the back!" and the cameras go to a brawl between the same two wrestlers seemingly week after week. Whenever they are managed to be booked together in a match it ALWAYS went off the rails with a DQ our countout and the entire set for the show got rearranged as the two wrestlers demonstrated their hatred for each other ON each other. When this comes to head it is going to be EPIC. I really like both Punk and McIntyre as performers so watching all this play out? I'm like a fat kid at the dessert buffet!
I lost my mom the same way 2 months ago. So much respect and love to Alba.
That sucks hope you find her
Thanks so much Simon I appreciate what you do for all of us here in the wrestling world.
Everything about the priest and Drew match was perfect
Except Damien’s botch that almost killed him.
Had an absolute blast at SmackDown & Clash, felt bad for Drew getting screwed again but it was easier to stomach than his loss in Cardiff & CM Punk wearing that Celtic jersey was the highlight of the press conference for me
I think there's a big divergence between Scottish and non-Scottish fans regarding all this. For you guys, Clash at the Castle was one PLE out of over a dozen in a year, & Glasgow just another stop on the whistlestop tour of an international corporation. So Drew being screwed once again by CM Punk further the feud & makes it white-hot for Summerslam, keeps the title on Priest to build his legitimacy, & fits in with the "bigger picture."
For Scotland? *This was our Wrestlemania.* Glasgow is our biggest city. We Scots are keenly aware that we're a medium-sized nation in a very big world: the fact that one of only 6 men not born in North America to win the big gold was one of our own was miraculous. In 71 years of the WWE's existence, this is the first time they've held a PLE here. Before Friday, the last time Smackdown came here was 5 years ago. I think Americans & even our English neighbours sometimes think of the WWE as this constant presence that rolls around regularly, but it simply isn't the case abroad, especially for us Scots.
So sure, Drew's feud with Punk will explode, likely culminating in a big match somewhere. To the wider WWE, it's just another step in the story. For us Scots, it was so tantalisingly close to being something truly historic - a Scot challenging for, & winning, the WWE World Title in Scotland - that we can't help but feel that this was it. Now, we worry it will never happen, unless WWE miraculously decides to do Clash 3 at Murrayfield & have Drew actually win.
It always felt like a long shot - when's the last time a non-North American won the WWE world title on their home soil? - but you can't blame us for hoping, in the heat of the moment, that something truly special was going to happen.
Yet in all this, we forget that it did happen. Alba & Isla are the first Scots to win the WWE Women's Tag Title - & the first Scots to win WWE gold in Scotland. That's historic, & if nothing else, I was so proud to be there for that moment. It would just be great if we got to host an event for Drew & Piper to get a moment like that.
Everyone needs to stop bitching about Drew not winning because of interference from CM Punk. Hometown/Homecountry wins are the exception, like the Womens Tag Team win earlier in the night, not the norm.
I would argue this should have been one of those exceptions (unless they're doing CatC 3 in Murrayfield, & Drew gets his win there). There's a massive difference between hometown & home country.
We're bitching because Damien is fucking injured mate, Drew jobbed to Damien in front of Scotland for nothing.
Punk should've gone for it & come out in a German Football Shirt cutting a promo on how shit the Scotland Team are :) A WWE PLE @Wembley Stadium, London is a license to print money!
Should’ve grabbed a bagpipe and went wild
I always watch the ups and downs first then go looking for this recap. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy in my tum tum ☝🏿Up!
Chad Gable vs Sammy was a very pleasant surprise. I really didn't expect much from that match. I thought Piper Niven did a great job, this was a great moment for her. I was shocked by the tag team match, and really happy for Isla.
Why Isla? Because she’s the pretty one?
A wild show and a hot crowd, and one that nearly all of my predictions were wrong. Cody and AJ had a hell of a match. That finish teased a bit of a hell Cody, I'm also curious what this means for AJ Style. The Women's Triple Threat started off well but fell apart. A lot of botches and missed spots. I did not expect Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn to win, but I'm very happy they did. Cody and Sami were another great. I think everyone expected Otis to snap tonight and Gable to win, but they showed restraint. Some fantastic storytelling and Gable is going to be livid on RAW. Bayley and Piper were a solid match, they needed to make Bayley a believable champion, this showed just how good Piper really is. I hope this means Piper will get a serious push at some point. Chelsea was also the MVP of the match, please give her the MiTB briefcase. I am shocked, I really didn't expect them to have Drew lose at Clash, AGAIN. All I can say is the fucking Balls on the WWE. I knew Punk was going to be involved, but I had expected a different incoming. My own hubris. I also hope Priest isn't hurt, that tie-up in the ropes did look planned, if so he sold it like a champion. We are going to see both Drew and Gable be livid on RAW. Punk continues to give Drew Broken Dream. RAW is going to be a must-watch to see the fallout. We have Uncle Howdy's debut, plus both Drew and Gable completely losing their shit. Plus right now as great it would have been to see Gable and Drew win, they don't need the titles, their storylines are much bigger.
I enjoyed the hell outta this PPV, especially as a fan of Fyre and Dawn. I thought they were just there to be the Hometown heroes, then dissappear AGAIN 🙄 didnt think they were gonna get the titles!! 🤯 the ending was awesome too, angry about it, but now excited for SummerSlam!
Bayley did not do a surprise roll up. She did a crucifix bomb
Call it whatever you like women just do sunset flips.
@@jaybee4288 But it’s not a roll up in any way. It’s not a sunset flip. It’s more like a sunset flip powerbomb that lands in a pin or a Batista Bomb. A finishing move that can land in a pinfall situation.
In the moment, I absolutely hated that Punk killed that moment for Drew. When I saw the social media stuff about drew after the match, I still hated it but I thought “I’m gonna let trips cook”.
When alba and isla won I actually teared up a bit. I didn’t think there was anyway WWE was going to let them win, but they did a great job of letting those 2 show off their in Ring ability. Even when isla dawn suplexed jade and covered Shayna I thought there was no way. What I missed at first glance was alba fyre holding back Bianca. Even they only hold them until the next PLE or even smackdown this Friday, I think having them win was the right call.
Maybe it’s because I’ve never really seen a match with piper where her and Chelsea weren’t just selling for everyone, but I didn’t know she could go like that. She lost the match, but she gained a fan
I thought Rhodes vs Styles was fine. I wasn’t a big fan of it. Even if the match wasn’t first on the card, there’s no way Cody was dropping the title already so I just had a hard time buying into the match
Sami vs Gable was a cool match. I think they’ve officially overdone the “what is Otis going to do” angle. I was hoping he would take an official stance at the PLE and we could advance the story along further on Raw. I’m fine with Sami winning, gives him a chance to have another feud and we can circle back to Chad and Sami later. Maybe wrestlemania or something
I think that you are pretty much spot on.
The WWE has done such a great job of adding layers and depth to the big rivalries.
Drew versus Punk is a big money match precisely because of all the layers and the depth.
Didn't have the chance to watch last night, really wish your thumbnail didn't spoil it for me.
I think it was a great decision because it keeps the story going and feed into the overall story. The storytelling from Mania to now, even if this is one of those feuds that you need to a little off-TV context to really appreciate, is awesome. And I'm glad Priest gets to keep his title reign and isn't just a stopgap champ. Even though I'm not a fan of AEW, I really do hope that Swerve retains his title against Osprey as well.
You spoilt yourself, silly to go online the day after a show if you have wrestling in your feeds.
@@jaybee4288 Yeah I made sure to unsubscribe.
I don't remember this being an issue a few years ago but now everybody puts spoilers for everything in titles, thumbnails, etc immediately. It's very stupid, and really sucks for anybody trying to get into a new hobby.
This is why you watch the show before you come onto TH-cam. You have no one to blame but yourself.
@@GrimR3ap3r86 Again, putting blatant spoilers into every thumbnail and title on social media less than 24 hours after an event or new release wasn't always the norm. Already unsubscribed so it won't happen again
Great paper view minus not letting Gable beat Sammi
Gable thinks he's Kurt Angle so much he'll probably buy a gold medal
I literally just came from the Ups and Downs for Clash, “He forgot about his penis!” Simon Miller man you are funny as hell and I love ya my Flubbin Brother In Baldness! 🤣👊🏾❤️
The 1 thing I will disagree with is writing off the Piper win , I think not only did the match just elevate Piper to main event levels instead of being the side kick but all weekend she just came across as a really good person and I could see her winning , turning baby face and then having Piper Nia at Hot Mania in August , just really happy to see Piper get her flowers , I remember seeing a documentary that followed her on the indies before she joined WWE as its cool to see how far she's come
What nonsense. She only on the card because it’s Scotland, it was the worst match of the show.
i was there, if you were first couple rows you could see it was punk but not everyone could until after the 2 count
I can't believe he flew all the way to Scotland Just just to stop Drew 😂
Thank you for the positivity Simon!
@10:33 - I thought the Styles\Cody match was awesome but I didn't expect anything less. That bit with AJ and Momma Rhodes was high tension which is what you get when you have two veterans of pro-wrestling working an angle I think. In my heart I knew that Momma wasn't going to take a bump but also knowing how talented AJ is, he could have set her up for that bump and she coulda just fell back into the arms of the "fans" behind her.
That match took me back. I just love both of those guys.
I promise. That banter needs to be a major element in netflixamania.
Simon you’re the greatest. All positivity over here!
The ropes seemed off yesterday. It wasn't just Jade. Multiple different wrestlers seemed to have issues with them.
I laughed out lout when the new ref showed up and I noticed his slick hair and red shoes. A nice bonus with these international shows is that screwing someone over like this requires a really long flight. Haters everywhere.
Morning Simon,
I enjoyed it from pre show with Michael Cole,K.o. Big E to the end
And When hhh came out to his Music 🎶 the Scotland Crowd Sang it it was Great gave me little chilli Willy. Lol. Others are saying it was Wrong Drew should have one. No!. In my opinion. Drew doesn't have that Fan Pull. They are just bitter because they dont like Damian. So , I was Satisfied ,happy.
These little Fan Boyz don't know whats good !
The presser after with Damian ALL RISE ! When Damian came. I threw my One's Up. Reminded Me of Roman ❤ 😂
Screw the Uncle Howdy Bullcrap bunch of Emo/Goth people SmH 😏
At this point I don’t even blame Jade for the botch off of the springboard… there were multiple botches involving the ropes at Clash so I think something must have been up with the ropes
I thought Punk screwing Drew was the best way for him to lose that match, also when Priest's leg got caught in the ropes I was sure he's was dead. If Priest did break his leg and he has to drop the belt, where do we go from there with the Heavyweight Title?
Hopefully Priest just has a sprained ankle and will be good for Summerslam
That was a planned "fall" nothings wrong with him plus it happened way before the ending so if he broke his leg he wouldn't have went another move let alone finish the match, somebody doesn't know how breaks work lol
@@BrianJohnsonArmwrestlingthat definitely was NOT a planned BOTCH 😂
I don't think that was the spot where he hurt his leg. He came off the top rope and you could hear it pop
Tournament. Winner faces Gunther at Summerslam
@14:06 - I was kinda hoping that Otis would come around at this event but the way it played out is MUCH better I think. Now this whole scenario can continue to build heat until the next PLE. Don't care what the booking is for Chad but having Otis absolutely obliterate Chad will be the biggest pop in recent memory for the WWE. It is RARE for me these days to feel actual anger while watching wrestling but this business with Otis strikes a chord in my memory of being bullied and all that crap we all dealt with at one point or another as kids. Whenever it happens, I want Chad to be carried out on a damn stretcher (kayfabe of course).
Yeah I think when it first happened I was kind of shocked But I don't hate this result because I kind of guessed it was going to end up this way
Punk versus Drew is going to be 🔥
I think Jade was just trying to tell her to lighten up, good on the commentary team to say something and they can definitely use that as a storyline
As for Jade, at first I thought she had botched... those ropes were too tight and it was causing problems all night. It got Damien badly injured, and it caused problems with superstars getting over the ropes on a clothesline
I think it’s good Drew didn’t win. Just form that alone we get 2 good matches instead of 1. We get Drew vs punk and Gunther vs priest.
I can see Jey winning the MITB and cashing in on Gunther
I think there is something wrong with the ropes from last night. So many people had issues with them and I hope no one beats themselves up about it too much.
While I definitely feel bad for the fans in attendance, I think it was a great match and a good call. Drew’s anger at Punk and his chase for the belt and revenge is incredibly good work!
Everyone's talking about Punk Vs Drew but I think things are going to be heating up with the Judgement Day as well. Finn Vs Priest at MITB for the World Title, maybe?
After Damian slipped ontheropes too, I wonder if something was off with them.
I think one of the key points you made in your video is that there was a day when people didn't need titles to attract attention. Andre, the giant, an obvious case, and so many other not so obvious.
Story is reason to invest. More important than titles.
"Punk vs Drew doesn't need a title..' Are we sure Drew feels the same? All that building toward a Championship after a contract signing & he's taken back to square one. smh
I really think something was wrong with the ring ropes. jade, Damian. I think I saw a clip somewhere where before the I quit match, the ref said something to AJ and touched the ropes
I couldnt help but notice since Wrestlemania. We got a new batch of WWE tubers.
The booking makes sense. As not only do we still get Drew vs. Punk at Money in the Bank or Summerslam which was always the plan but we also don't have to see Drew have a small 1 month to 2 month reign with the WHC as at either Summerslam or Bash in Berlin he was losing it to Gunther.
I find is *AMAZING* & so interesting how CM Punk and Drew McIntyre is prob the feud of the year and they’ve not even had a match yet.
By the time we finally get there, this match is gunna have such a “huge fight feel” to it. Dam near feels like we should b putting this/ending this on a stage as grand as mania🔥.
In the "it's the little things that count department", Punk held two fingers up to Drew to signify he only counted to two, but that's also a gesture similar to us in North America flipping the bird. Wade had also mentioned this to Cole when someone (I can't remember who but it may have been Drew, which rhymes) held two fingers up to him. I just thought that was kinda clever.
It was also a play on Drews tweet with the grave meme where he was the guy flipping the fingers, back when Punk got hurt.
@@jamesmaskell3743 I hadn't thought of that. Ha, layers!
Drew McIntyre and CM Punk have given us the best feud currently in wrestling without having a single match.
I would even say that it’s a better compliment to get screwed over like Drew here because is shows that the company sees longevity and distance in you by continuing to further ‘your’ story
Amazing video
happy dad day
I had a feeling that Isla and Alba might get the win here as the "send the crowd home happy as a local won a title" moment of the night since you weren't having Piper win and if you weren't having Drew win (and I was 99% sure they would) then having them win makes the most sense.
Sami Zayn really brought his A-game. Great performance in the ring.
I like this choice , i think basically all of the winners were probably the best thing for the stories, wrestling isnt always about winning championships, i think the wrestlers prefer to be in cool sss storylines over being champions so im sure drew and chad in real life aren't upset about this if it makes their stories more interesting
I think Isla and Alba winning was to set up a feud for Jade n Bianca v Alba n Isla which is really good for the women's tag division cos they never actually have storylines so this is progress. Also I think you can start planting seeds for Jade v Bianca because Jade nearly or possibly got tapped out by Shayna and Bianca did that 450 knee thing which hurt Jade too so maybe they start falling out there.Maybe a storyline of Bianca not believing in Jade and not believing she's good enough/ she's only good cos shes with Bianca. Bianca would be a tweener/heel and Jade will be the face trying to prove herself on par with or even better than Bianca. However i dont think there match should be at Mania. Bianca has an undefeated streak and Jade is too early in her career to lose her first mania 1 v 1. I think this match should be at summerslam.
Ups and downs isn't up yet!!!
That one Scottish bloke in the crowd right next to Punk giving him the finger and screaming "F*** YOU!!" for 5 mins straight was good stuff
The end made perfect sense. Drew vs Punk absolutely doesn't need the title and, actually, takes away from what's coming up with Gunther at Summerslam. Makes more sense, also, to act as a way of blending Priest's reign in to the collapse of Judgement Day.
Punk in a Celtic top at the press conference had me howling.
The whole show worked from a story perspective. Belair and Cargill aren't a 'proper' team (commentary mentioned how they'd only just been together a short while), so them losing the titles also makes sense without thinking about other reasons.
Very good show.
Very good perspective
The biggest stars should have the title otherwise it doesn’t feel like the main event. You can tell me priest v Gunther is the main event and punk/Drew isn’t but c’mon…. I’ve never watched a woman’s main event of wrestlemania and always used it as a chance to get an early night.
The middle finger of not giving Drew the title, at this PLE, makes no goddamn sense. Vince Russo swerve for swerve’s sake BRO.
Drew vs Punk doesn’t need a title, but Drew 100% earned walking away from Scotland with the title on his shoulder.
Simon idk how serious you are when you talk negatively about yourself but you do it in almost every single video that you put out. Speaking from experience maybe you shouldnt do that because one day you may believe what youre saying about yourself. You are perpetually the most positive person in all of media, at least for my money. Its always refreshing to watch with so much negativity all over the place i know your videos wont have that so thank you very much for everything you do and keep up the wonderful work!!!
Now we got a new threat.
And someone who is an apparent threat to Queen Linafanene.
I peeped immediately. It was the shoes. 😂
I'm a big Drew fan but that finish was great, the more drama the better!
Everyone understands that if Drew v Punk feud has a title in it, then Punk is a hypocrite for allowing it to happen when he had that bit**fit about dropping the belt to the Rock for the Cena v Rock feud. His reasoning at the time being their feud didn't need a belt when he could make more use of it at the time (he was correct) ... him and his feud now doesn't need a belt that can still help Priest grow and lead to Finn v Priest with the former very much needing that belt more than any of the four, combined
Love how there’s no accountability for people interfering in so many title matches.
Always has been
I love how when faces interfere that get cheered, while heels get booed and called cheaters.
New to wrestling?
On this occasion, the ref was knocked out so it is somewhat legit
welcome to wrestling
I was 99% sure Drew wasn't going to win, no matter how much I wanted him to. The reason is exactly what you said. That feud doesn't need a title. Punk will me 'medically cleared' after MitB so they can set up for SS.
Upvote, comment, and full watch through bc you didn't bury the lede
everybody misses a move in wrestling from time to time, failed springboard aside, Jade Cargill looked amazing at clash and continues to improve her stock in sports entertainment every day
Yeah but jade has so many of them every match. She really shoulda went to nxt for a while to get her in ring stuff better. That's why she's in a tag team now because she can't carry a match on her own yet.
@@youtubebannedme4207 a tour of NXT probably would have been for the better agreed, but that didn't happen, so it's what it is i guess
I don’t care that jade cargill messed up the springboard, but in regards to something Simon said, I always interpreted the high risk of high flying moves as your opponent moving and you missing. But I guess it could literally be everything
simon's is such a nice guy
I havent even dropped new music either. Like you. I can confidently say Ive only improved my art.
wade barret was right when he said it was the modern era montreal screw job, except this time we see the fallout
I was there and it obvious it was punk the second you see him running down to the ring. The crowd was very unhappy that Drew lost. The reaction Priest received from the crowd was similar to Cena against Punk at MITB. Which makes a great story arc considering punk is involved in the story.
Do feel bad for Priest though, he's in the same spot Iyo Sky was in, where he is just holding the belt while the actual top guys are feuding to decide who beats him
Scottish here and i hated the result but at the end of the day its best for story, honestly i think we will look back in a few years and say it was genius
Just advice ya know. What it is that I should do. The format. Structure. All that. I dont know what to do. I want to though.
My favorite part of the PLE was Michael Cole and Wade Barrett messing with Corey Graves after the Bayley vs Piper match, they were laughing their a$$ off at Corey pouting and shouting booboo face at him. I think I'm 9 years old too cuz I loved it. Love new Era commentators laughing and adlibbing live
It would have been nice for Drew to win in Scotland, just to have that big title moment without the asterisk of either being in front of nobody or immediately losing it via MITB cash-in. Home town pop would have been monumental. Part of me feels like this was just a choice to go out of their way to try to alter Priest's perception as a transitional champion, but on the other hand this makes complete sense for the Punk feud and his character.
I think it made sense and was a good finish, but I would still have been pretty pissed if I'd been there...
An arsenal reference go Simon 😂
Quite surprised Puck didn't get lenched 😂😂
#1st it was a great match. It was the right call because Damian needed a few title defenses. And Drew has been more focused on CM Punk than the title all year. That’s his story, he needs to finish before he can win a title.
i liked it i like drew too and feel bad for not getting the big moment i thought it was really well shot with the cameras didn't expect punk tbh... i want damien to be treated like a world champion not a glorified mid card title
Piper was REALLY good yesterday.
