Every time I hear talks about jobbers, I'm reminded of a guy I had met who wrestled in the indies until he was run out of wrestling by BS politicking assholes. That guy's only talent in the ring was selling, but holy crap was he good at it! Every time anyone did a move on him, the way he'd scream, grunt and move made me seriously worry about him. That's what a jobber should do.

This, the number of people online who claim to be giving “expert opinion” when they have never even been to a live show. As an aside I also have people who claim to know what a wrestler is thinking and wants in real life. The number of people recently who insist Sammy has been suspended because Mercedes insisted on it because of the tweets and they believe that is a fact because somehow they are inside people heads lol.
This! The amount of people, for example, shitting on Ospreay after his Rev match, is actually insane. And yet, many legends including Ric Flair just praised the hell out of him. Personally, I'll choose the side of the wrestlers and their opinions, instead of the people who have never ran a mile in their life, much less stepped inside a ring.

"'The Mark' Simon Miller" has a decent ring to it and could be a fun, meta character Could start off the match by asking for an autograph. You could even build a feud off the back of a heel refusing the autograph. That could end with Simon getting the win and signing the book with the other guy's hand while he's out from the finisher.
I remember seeing an interview with James Storm after his one off with NXT where he told HHH that his finisher is a super kick. HHH looked told him that it’s uses by a lot of wrestlers as a set up now and Storm said that was fine but no one gets up when he does it. I liked his response. It’s kinda of like Andrade using the hammerlock DDT. Everyone uses a variance of it but no one kicks out when he does it. Hot take. The Canadian destroyer is now less damaging than the clothesline. I don’t remember the last time I’ve seen someone pinned after the destroyer. It’s also for some reason less effective on the apron and outside the ring.
I think it's wild that you went through a whole two paragraphs discussing how some moves are deadlier when done by someone who's mastered it then immediately complained about the Canadian Destroyer as if they were two completely different situations
Years ago, I went to a Smackdown taping. One of the matches on the show was Andrade vs. Sin Cara. I think they just did for the live crowd during an extended commercial break and promo packages. The crowd initially treated it like a piss break match, but we’re glued to it 30 seconds in. The match only lasted five minutes, but it was the most over match with the crowd.
I have a wrestling hot take, certain wrestling fans hinder the growth of wrestling. Most people who aren’t into wrestling sees that crop of fans and just assume every fan is like that

In my opinion wrestling is similar to film. You have action adventure, comedy, romantic, thriller, noir, drama, crime and science fiction. In wrestling you have lucha, strong style, traditional American style, hardcore, technical, brawling and more. Some wrestlers prefer a certain style and some fans prefer to watch a certain style. At the end of the day lets just have fun and support wrestlers.

On the Jordynne Grace take, this is how i think of it. Everyone can do a choke hold, but who's actually the best at using the move and choking people out.
If there’s one constant for me, I’ll watch any Simon Miller video regardless if it’s about WWE, AEW, TNA, etc. We don’t have to like everything in pro wrestling but there’s no need to want any promotions to fail just because you don’t like their style.

If anything it actually puts over the people that do use it as a finisher, Jake Roberts actually said the same thing. If someone uses a DDT and they get like a 2 count, it makes his DDT even more devastating because he was ending matches with it
It's more of an etiquette thing, that you don't use somebody's finish if you're on a show before them. I don't think it devalues the move, but it's also important to avoid fatiguing a crowd with it before the person who uses it to get their biggest reaction
Sometimes I cut promos to myself, and one of the lines I like saying the most is: "'How can he be so dangerous when his finisher is just a DDT?!' Because in your hands, a DDT is one of a thousand moves. In my hands, it's the last one. You hit 'just a DDT'. I hit THE DDT."

One of Hangman’s finishers is literally just a clothesline off the second rope. In theory it shouldn’t be a finisher, but it’s believable for him. Jake the Snake used a DDT for years, and kept it believable, up to this day. It’s not the move itself, it’s the person hitting it and the moment it happens.
I agree with the "every move can be done by someone else and not be a finish and it's fine" mostly. It's when I see things like tombstone pile drivers on the floor for a 2 count I say to piss off
I agree with the one about moves 100%. If you perform and sell it right, you can make the DDT a good finisher again, and the announcers can also do a good job of building it up. Never forget, some of the most popular finishers in wrestling history were moves that before becoming finishers were basic moves, Stunner included.
6:00, I was a believer in that for WAY too long and I never gave it a second thought. I thought that it was stupid if somebody used another person's finishing move and didn't win with it, it made the move look bad to me. But then a few years ago, I saw some random guy on Reddit say something like, finishers aren't really even big flashy super moves that we all make them out to be, it just happens to be a move that the superstar likes using. Since then, unless the move really sucks, wrestlers can use whatever moves they want. I don't really care now.
The Amir Jordan tweet reminds me of when I was working. Back in 03-04, I worked for FIP. They were running in St Pete, Florida, really close to where IPW ran (another promotion I used to work for). I remember hearing there was heat between the two promotions, and I thought it was silly, as quite a few of us had worked both FIP and IPW. 🤣🤣
I'm in that one now. Got 2 companies I work for who do TV that's in same town on 2 diff stations so the one promoter told me not to do any shows that are near them by the other promotion.
Something about Finishers: It doesn’t need to be something over-the-top to be good. The impact of a move depends less on the move itself, and more about, as said in the video, how it’s sold. Anyone can do a Clothesline, but when say, JBL does it, it’s “THEE CLOTHESLINE”. In other words, he does it so well that it’s able to put other people down for the count. Sure, everyone can do a Leg Drop now, but when Hogan hits his, you KNOW it hurts (in storyline of course). That’s not to say unique finishers aren’t great, they are. They feel impactful in a sense that “no one else does this move”, rather than “no one does it better”. Kenny Omega for example has his OWA, and very few, if any other wrestlers use it. When he uses it, it’s HIS move. It also doesn’t need to be the most physically painful move in a wrestlers move set. I don’t think anyone sees The Peoples’ Elbow and says “wow, that looks like it hurt a ton!”. Instead, it’s the WAY he sells it. The buildup, the way the opponent sells it. Honestly it makes it feel (don’t really know how to explain this), but it makes the move feel “larger than life”. It gives it a uniqueness rather than just being painful. It’s a “Signature Touch” per say.

Levity aside, when we talk about representation in the industry, the way Booker T was treated in WWF post WCW-merger (that "people like you" Triple-H promo, specifically) was exactly what got me to _stop_ paying attention to wrestling until roughly about the time I started hearing about Xavier Woods. If you want other people's eyes, don't cater to what you consider 'the default'.
Paul Heyman, I think he portrays a lawyer in WWE. So I would say he would be the greatest lawyer in pro wrestling. He always uses different words, IE advocate or special counsel. But that's what he basically is on TV. Don't know if he got a degree or anything, but I know his father was a lawyer and the term advocate was something he said he got from his father.
There are two of these takes that I really strongly have to disagree with. One I understand, the other just makes me a bit cross. For context, I've been a disabled trainee for about a decade, so I've certainly got a significant defecit of experience compared to the ones I'm challenging (as well as daring, and certainly success). Nevertheless I feel like these were bad takes and need challenging. First one I get where it's coming from. That's the one about it "not being about the moves". I get it - too many people hyperfocus initially on moves when they're green and pay no attention to the tale being told which they should be tools for. There's a decent point to be made with that, however... this is an example of throwing the baby out with the bathwater, I feel. And it's far from a hot take - indeed, I've heard this so many times over the years! Doesn't matter what move you do, it's how you do it, etc. Nevertheless I think this misses a key part of the wonder of wrestling. You remember getting into wrestling for the first time? What's one of the most exciting and unique things about it? The moves! You remember geeking over lists of cool moves like a total sports nerd? Me too! I'm sure this is not an unusual experience. I'm sure deep down most people haven't even lost that magic (more like buried it to seem more intellectual). I say, the moves DO matter. Look. I've seen someone do a vertical suplex in a way that makes it seem like a finisher, and I've seen it plenty of times as a filler move. Sure! That can happen. But how many times have I felt a spanish fly feel as impactful, and hit the same beat, as a decent powerbomb? Zero. Should an ordinary punch be a devastating finisher? Yes, it should! But everyone using a hundred of them as basic filler every single match really has destroyed that. I've seen people try, and do really well, to make an ordinary punch distinctive enough to feel like a finisher. But would I 100% of those times rather have seen them do a better move, with an equal focus on doing it well and in a signiature style? HELL yes. Just because a toolbox has loads of tools doesn't make every tool equal for every job. There's no way anyone's convincing me as far as to conclude that the moves themselves don't matter. People I've looked up to and respected have said it, and I remain unconvinced. Okay so that's the fun discussion out of the way, now on to the one that ticks me off - the money thing. The "nobody's your friend" thing. So this person probably has a bunch of colleagues that aren't very pally, sure I can picture that. But they're trying to speak for everyone and I just have to say, this attitude makes no gosh darned sense! Oh it's an industry? So what? Everything's a bleddy industry. Means nothing. Yes, people have varying lines they'll draw with respect to how far they'll go in being prats toward other people in exchange for the means of survival that capitalism threatens everyone with. I understand that, not a foreign concept. The bit that's sorely missing here is the passion behind it! So you start off only wanting to make money, right? Why the hell are you anywhere near a wrestling ring? This isn't the way to make money! You could be a banker, or a politician, or a con artist. THOSE are what you go into if you're only interested in making money. Even if you don't want riches but only want stability, there are still so many better choices - pro wrestling has to be way down the list. Goodness me, get a bloomin' factory job. More secure employment right there, no risking medical bills or injury disablement. What the hell would you be doing here when you could be working far less hard making far more elsewhere, if all you're truly interested in, is being an antisocial friendless person with fat stacks in a bank account? Being that as it is, it logically follows what I've generally observed both personally and peripherally - that nobody's here without some sort of obsession, passion, love of the sport. Nobody gets here as a shrug-option. We all love wrestling. Is that supposed to be a bad thing? I think it's an awesome thing. I've never got paid for anything I've done and I would've had far less money struggles if I'd not bothered. I knew that going in, same as I know it now! I stuck it out that long, and now I'm trying to pluck up the courage to bodge my way back into it (needing once again to be very lucky to have the privilege to even be able to train, which I might not get again, but I'm gonna try). You gonna tell me I (and everyone else) just did / does that for nothing, because we're all stupid? Yeah right. I'm gonna call this cynical and pessimistic. The love for what we (if I can indeed consider myself adjacent to it) do is STRONG, not weak, and certainly not nonexistant. Plenty of wrestlers have told me they've happily let go of great opportunities because they didn't want to stop doing what they love doing. Same would go for me, if I had any opportunities to compare it to. I think I'll listen to that, over some jaded capitalist edginess. Just wanted to get all that off my chest, lol. Keep loving wrestling, making awesome friends in wrestling, and doing really cool moves that capture the imagination (WITH all the ring psychology to fit them into, of course!). As far as Speedball and Jordynne go... Yes and no. A clothesline *can* be a finish, even if everyone does two in their comeback, if you're GUNTHER. Or The Veteran Jack Vaughan. But everyone throwing multiple Superkicks, or if every match has a Canadian Destroyer, or a tope con hello, yeah. Law of diminishing returns is a thing. The first time you see a Canadian Destroyer, or a dive to the outside, it's pretty cool. By the 8th time, that night, it's just another move. The second point. I'll agree with Simon, here. To a degree. If it's a grudge match, if it's part of a long storyline/feud, if it's a huge match (main event of WM for the title). Then, sure, you stealing the move of the dude you're in there with, and them kicking out has a place. But there's a reason that Funaki wasn't doing Stunners in his matches and Naked Mideon wasn't doing Rock Bottoms in his. As far as the wrestling business being a "business"... He's right. Someone needs to tell that to Tony Kahn.

I agree with Jordyn Grace. If I get punched by some random person I might stay on my feet. If I get punched by a trained professional boxer I know I'm going down because a professional boxer has mastered the art of throwing a punch. A martial artist has mastered the art of throwing a kick. Naturally a person who has mastered the move is going to be more effective with that move. Just because a punch of people use the super kick doesn't change the fact that Shawn Micheals practically owned it. In fact Shawn Micheals super kick STILL catches me by surprise especially the one on Shelton Benjamin.

Bailey's take is correct, but there is context to it. If the Bucks fight the Usos they can all superkick each other until a vortex rips in spacetime and the sneaker eating 8th dimensional aliens abduct them. In that match a superkick is a casual strike based on the performers involved. If they're facing a hypothetical tag team of Shawn Michaels and Lance Storm, then you really need to lay back or the other guys finish/signature is going to look incredibly out of place if it actually beats you. Clotheslines are a little weirder. Most "clothesline" finishers are lariats with a major difference in the presentation and impact being presented. The thing with that is often literally a different move from the quick ones guys throw out when doing a hot tag and such. Though the most obvious thing messing with finishers isn't what the finisher is. Its that its often hit consistantly and doens't finish. Probably the worst big example of this is actually Cody Rhodes, not exactly a spot monkey, but dude can't seem to beat anyone of any note with a single Crossrhodes, he has to do 1, and have it fail, then do the triple one later.
What Mustafa Ali said is why I have felt that the entire entertainment industry let alone wrestling should be shut down completely at times. Because if they can't do it earnestly and continue back tracking representing other races, sexualities etc. at the earliest convenience then they shouldn't exist. And that is why I can be so ineffective in these fights for change. Because I treat it as a personal revenge mission.
Jordynnes point about finishers reminds me of Seth and Cody occasionally using the Pedigree. When it was Seth's only finisher it worked, but after the stomp became his trademark it stopped winning matches. Triple H only letting the top guys bury his finish
I don’t think it’s a burial of the finish, it’s just that HHH is pretty much the best user of it because he’s pretty much the only one that can end a match with it.
I absolutely will argue the "BUSINESS" tweet. Who's been more influential to the average pro wrestler's style? Kenny Omega or Roman Reigns? Omega and it's not even close. That's despite Roman (allegedly) being the biggest draw of the modern era. The idea that money is the biggest factor in shaping a form of media is straightforwardly wrong. On the Jordynne Grace take, this is how i think of it. Everyone can do a choke hold, but who's actually the best at using the move and choking people out.
If there’s one constant for me, I’ll watch any Simon Miller video regardless if it’s about WWE, AEW, TNA, etc.
We don’t have to like everything in pro wrestling but there’s no need to want any promotions to fail just because you don’t like their style.
JG's take is solid, but I wish it wasn't considered a "hot take". Wrestler X has 'mastered' a specific move hence it being X's finisher. I can't wait for someone to start winning with a Blue Thunder Bomb.
If anything it actually puts over the people that do use it as a finisher, Jake Roberts actually said the same thing. If someone uses a DDT and they get like a 2 count, it makes his DDT even more devastating because he was ending matches with it

It's more of an etiquette thing, that you don't use somebody's finish if you're on a show before them. I don't think it devalues the move, but it's also important to avoid fatiguing a crowd with it before the person who uses it to get their biggest reaction
Sometimes I cut promos to myself, and one of the lines I like saying the most is: "'How can he be so dangerous when his finisher is just a DDT?!' Because in your hands, a DDT is one of a thousand moves. In my hands, it's the last one. You hit 'just a DDT'. I hit THE DDT."

This weeks Colision had a great 6 man tag squash match. It was basically just Okada beating up 3 jobbers. I was sports entertained
One of Hangman’s finishers is literally just a clothesline off the second rope. In theory it shouldn’t be a finisher, but it’s believable for him. Jake the Snake used a DDT for years, and kept it believable, up to this day. It’s not the move itself, it’s the person hitting it and the moment it happens.
I agree with the "every move can be done by someone else and not be a finish and it's fine" mostly. It's when I see things like tombstone pile drivers on the floor for a 2 count I say to piss off

I agree with the one about moves 100%. If you perform and sell it right, you can make the DDT a good finisher again, and the announcers can also do a good job of building it up. Never forget, some of the most popular finishers in wrestling history were moves that before becoming finishers were basic moves, Stunner included.

6:00, I was a believer in that for WAY too long and I never gave it a second thought. I thought that it was stupid if somebody used another person's finishing move and didn't win with it, it made the move look bad to me. But then a few years ago, I saw some random guy on Reddit say something like, finishers aren't really even big flashy super moves that we all make them out to be, it just happens to be a move that the superstar likes using. Since then, unless the move really sucks, wrestlers can use whatever moves they want. I don't really care now.
The Amir Jordan tweet reminds me of when I was working. Back in 03-04, I worked for FIP. They were running in St Pete, Florida, really close to where IPW ran (another promotion I used to work for). I remember hearing there was heat between the two promotions, and I thought it was silly, as quite a few of us had worked both FIP and IPW. 🤣🤣
I'm in that one now. Got 2 companies I work for who do TV that's in same town on 2 diff stations so the one promoter told me not to do any shows that are near them by the other promotion.

I do like a big boot or a clothesline finishing a match. Something satisfying about a basic move being a finisher.
Something about Finishers:
It doesn’t need to be something over-the-top to be good. The impact of a move depends less on the move itself, and more about, as said in the video, how it’s sold. Anyone can do a Clothesline, but when say, JBL does it, it’s “THEE CLOTHESLINE”. In other words, he does it so well that it’s able to put other people down for the count. Sure, everyone can do a Leg Drop now, but when Hogan hits his, you KNOW it hurts (in storyline of course). That’s not to say unique finishers aren’t great, they are. They feel impactful in a sense that “no one else does this move”, rather than “no one does it better”. Kenny Omega for example has his OWA, and very few, if any other wrestlers use it. When he uses it, it’s HIS move.
It also doesn’t need to be the most physically painful move in a wrestlers move set. I don’t think anyone sees The Peoples’ Elbow and says “wow, that looks like it hurt a ton!”. Instead, it’s the WAY he sells it. The buildup, the way the opponent sells it. Honestly it makes it feel (don’t really know how to explain this), but it makes the move feel “larger than life”. It gives it a uniqueness rather than just being painful. It’s a “Signature Touch” per say.

Levity aside, when we talk about representation in the industry, the way Booker T was treated in WWF post WCW-merger (that "people like you" Triple-H promo, specifically) was exactly what got me to _stop_ paying attention to wrestling until roughly about the time I started hearing about Xavier Woods. If you want other people's eyes, don't cater to what you consider 'the default'.
Simon is probably the most positive person in all of pro wrestling, we don't deserve him.
Paul Heyman, I think he portrays a lawyer in WWE. So I would say he would be the greatest lawyer in pro wrestling. He always uses different words, IE advocate or special counsel. But that's what he basically is on TV. Don't know if he got a degree or anything, but I know his father was a lawyer and the term advocate was something he said he got from his father.

There are two of these takes that I really strongly have to disagree with. One I understand, the other just makes me a bit cross. For context, I've been a disabled trainee for about a decade, so I've certainly got a significant defecit of experience compared to the ones I'm challenging (as well as daring, and certainly success). Nevertheless I feel like these were bad takes and need challenging.
First one I get where it's coming from. That's the one about it "not being about the moves". I get it - too many people hyperfocus initially on moves when they're green and pay no attention to the tale being told which they should be tools for. There's a decent point to be made with that, however... this is an example of throwing the baby out with the bathwater, I feel. And it's far from a hot take - indeed, I've heard this so many times over the years! Doesn't matter what move you do, it's how you do it, etc. Nevertheless I think this misses a key part of the wonder of wrestling. You remember getting into wrestling for the first time? What's one of the most exciting and unique things about it? The moves! You remember geeking over lists of cool moves like a total sports nerd? Me too! I'm sure this is not an unusual experience. I'm sure deep down most people haven't even lost that magic (more like buried it to seem more intellectual). I say, the moves DO matter. Look. I've seen someone do a vertical suplex in a way that makes it seem like a finisher, and I've seen it plenty of times as a filler move. Sure! That can happen. But how many times have I felt a spanish fly feel as impactful, and hit the same beat, as a decent powerbomb? Zero. Should an ordinary punch be a devastating finisher? Yes, it should! But everyone using a hundred of them as basic filler every single match really has destroyed that. I've seen people try, and do really well, to make an ordinary punch distinctive enough to feel like a finisher. But would I 100% of those times rather have seen them do a better move, with an equal focus on doing it well and in a signiature style? HELL yes. Just because a toolbox has loads of tools doesn't make every tool equal for every job. There's no way anyone's convincing me as far as to conclude that the moves themselves don't matter. People I've looked up to and respected have said it, and I remain unconvinced.
Okay so that's the fun discussion out of the way, now on to the one that ticks me off - the money thing. The "nobody's your friend" thing. So this person probably has a bunch of colleagues that aren't very pally, sure I can picture that. But they're trying to speak for everyone and I just have to say, this attitude makes no gosh darned sense! Oh it's an industry? So what? Everything's a bleddy industry. Means nothing. Yes, people have varying lines they'll draw with respect to how far they'll go in being prats toward other people in exchange for the means of survival that capitalism threatens everyone with. I understand that, not a foreign concept. The bit that's sorely missing here is the passion behind it! So you start off only wanting to make money, right? Why the hell are you anywhere near a wrestling ring? This isn't the way to make money! You could be a banker, or a politician, or a con artist. THOSE are what you go into if you're only interested in making money. Even if you don't want riches but only want stability, there are still so many better choices - pro wrestling has to be way down the list. Goodness me, get a bloomin' factory job. More secure employment right there, no risking medical bills or injury disablement. What the hell would you be doing here when you could be working far less hard making far more elsewhere, if all you're truly interested in, is being an antisocial friendless person with fat stacks in a bank account? Being that as it is, it logically follows what I've generally observed both personally and peripherally - that nobody's here without some sort of obsession, passion, love of the sport. Nobody gets here as a shrug-option. We all love wrestling. Is that supposed to be a bad thing? I think it's an awesome thing. I've never got paid for anything I've done and I would've had far less money struggles if I'd not bothered. I knew that going in, same as I know it now! I stuck it out that long, and now I'm trying to pluck up the courage to bodge my way back into it (needing once again to be very lucky to have the privilege to even be able to train, which I might not get again, but I'm gonna try). You gonna tell me I (and everyone else) just did / does that for nothing, because we're all stupid? Yeah right. I'm gonna call this cynical and pessimistic. The love for what we (if I can indeed consider myself adjacent to it) do is STRONG, not weak, and certainly not nonexistant. Plenty of wrestlers have told me they've happily let go of great opportunities because they didn't want to stop doing what they love doing. Same would go for me, if I had any opportunities to compare it to. I think I'll listen to that, over some jaded capitalist edginess.
Just wanted to get all that off my chest, lol. Keep loving wrestling, making awesome friends in wrestling, and doing really cool moves that capture the imagination (WITH all the ring psychology to fit them into, of course!).

Never, ever, will I think of it as a mere path to money. That's an insult. Screw money. Money sucks. Wrestling rocks.

As far as Speedball and Jordynne go... Yes and no.
A clothesline *can* be a finish, even if everyone does two in their comeback, if you're GUNTHER. Or The Veteran Jack Vaughan. But everyone throwing multiple Superkicks, or if every match has a Canadian Destroyer, or a tope con hello, yeah. Law of diminishing returns is a thing. The first time you see a Canadian Destroyer, or a dive to the outside, it's pretty cool. By the 8th time, that night, it's just another move.
The second point. I'll agree with Simon, here. To a degree. If it's a grudge match, if it's part of a long storyline/feud, if it's a huge match (main event of WM for the title). Then, sure, you stealing the move of the dude you're in there with, and them kicking out has a place. But there's a reason that Funaki wasn't doing Stunners in his matches and Naked Mideon wasn't doing Rock Bottoms in his.
As far as the wrestling business being a "business"... He's right. Someone needs to tell that to Tony Kahn.

I agree with Jordyn Grace. If I get punched by some random person I might stay on my feet. If I get punched by a trained professional boxer I know I'm going down because a professional boxer has mastered the art of throwing a punch. A martial artist has mastered the art of throwing a kick. Naturally a person who has mastered the move is going to be more effective with that move. Just because a punch of people use the super kick doesn't change the fact that Shawn Micheals practically owned it. In fact Shawn Micheals super kick STILL catches me by surprise especially the one on Shelton Benjamin.

Bailey's take is correct, but there is context to it.
If the Bucks fight the Usos they can all superkick each other until a vortex rips in spacetime and the sneaker eating 8th dimensional aliens abduct them. In that match a superkick is a casual strike based on the performers involved.
If they're facing a hypothetical tag team of Shawn Michaels and Lance Storm, then you really need to lay back or the other guys finish/signature is going to look incredibly out of place if it actually beats you.
Clotheslines are a little weirder. Most "clothesline" finishers are lariats with a major difference in the presentation and impact being presented. The thing with that is often literally a different move from the quick ones guys throw out when doing a hot tag and such.
Though the most obvious thing messing with finishers isn't what the finisher is. Its that its often hit consistantly and doens't finish. Probably the worst big example of this is actually Cody Rhodes, not exactly a spot monkey, but dude can't seem to beat anyone of any note with a single Crossrhodes, he has to do 1, and have it fail, then do the triple one later.
What Mustafa Ali said is why I have felt that the entire entertainment industry let alone wrestling should be shut down completely at times. Because if they can't do it earnestly and continue back tracking representing other races, sexualities etc. at the earliest convenience then they shouldn't exist. And that is why I can be so ineffective in these fights for change. Because I treat it as a personal revenge mission.

Jordynnes point about finishers reminds me of Seth and Cody occasionally using the Pedigree. When it was Seth's only finisher it worked, but after the stomp became his trademark it stopped winning matches. Triple H only letting the top guys bury his finish
I don’t think it’s a burial of the finish, it’s just that HHH is pretty much the best user of it because he’s pretty much the only one that can end a match with it.

I absolutely will argue the "BUSINESS" tweet. Who's been more influential to the average pro wrestler's style? Kenny Omega or Roman Reigns? Omega and it's not even close. That's despite Roman (allegedly) being the biggest draw of the modern era. The idea that money is the biggest factor in shaping a form of media is straightforwardly wrong. The only people who say otherwise are people too high on their own bullshit to see the obvious.

I guess technically he seemed pretty good but he just didn't seem to be able to make that connection with the fans.
