Lots of bad has happened bro. They just keep going. Monster trucks crash. People go missing and odds don't look so good. You dig and dig and dig and never find who or what you're looking for. Peoples houseboats boats get stuck on land. Cerro Gordo hotel burns down. Brent has been trying to conserve the history of the place. Not good situation. If no one preserves it it goes away. mountain hilltop fortress workshop burns down. Heavy D found this guy flying over in a copter and he shows up and this dudes backhoe has this comically massive hydraulic oil leak. Things catching on fire. They have to literally carve out a road to the top
I think they should do another metal detecting helicopter mission if possible. Even if it doesn't pan out it's not like many people in human history had the ability to tactically do such a mission. That was a very cool episode.
I need this as a series. That fire may be an amazing opportunity for you to help Alan and grow the channel. I’ll be here for it!!

Man, if I was able to afford to take a week or two off of work, I would LOVE to come help Alan rebuild the fortress. We need more Alan's in the world, despite every obstacle life has thrown at him, he always manages to come out on top and keep pushing forward!

I think this is a case of, "If you build it, they will come." Alan worked his butt off for years to get the fortress to where it is. Now, that effort has drawn others to his vision. It's amazing to see. Has to feel great to help a guy like that.

There are genuinely deserving people like this, who's lives they've dedicated to making everyone else's around them as good as, if not better. I don't know Allan's whole story, but the guy needed a break. I had someone help me in this way when life took a swing at me. The sparks gang once again coming in clutch. Using their resources and time to make Allan's dream blossom from the ashes of his former storage facility. Great content for sure, but even better human kindness

I am really good person and I've help people. I ended up going in debt and I've been struggling with debt by myself. I created a gofundme account many years ago and explained the story and was asking for help. All people were replying were with shit comments and is your fault. Blah blah blah. So I ended up deleting the gofundme. And I just find it funny that people are willing to help people that can easily come up with money and have all these equipment that could easily make them their money. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve it. If you guys wanna help, that is great. He seems like a cool guy. But at the end, his place caught on fire twice. That would of been an eye opener that maybe he needs to get rid of some of the flammable stuff or fix his storage so it won't happened again. At the end, it was his fault. Just like people were bashing at me saying it was my fault that led me to be in debt. I needed a break as well. Years in debt because of that. Now I'm doing a much better. But I don't have sympathy for anyone.
I’ve come to realize heavy D and his team are the realist people out there. The kind of people you want in your corner!

It all started as a helo flight and the discovery of a building in progress on a mountain top. Curiosity got the best of Heavy D, so he ventured up there to meet the owner, and now for the rest of the story....................... So fantastic to give Alan something to look forward to, rather than to spend his time being sad over what he has lost. Fantastic move Heavy D!

Heavy D, I have to say many of “your” adventures and journeys bring good to those that need it. I started following you after your infamous race at Cletus’s. From your personal reflection in “the time out corner” to now, I have watched them all. It takes a special kind of guy to say they were wrong, and you are that guy. From helping the Wizard to helping at Cerro Gordo, you and your extended family are the folks that show that there is still good out there. Thanks Dave for making humanity feel and be better.

When I used to watch Diesel Brothers on Discovery I used to think they were just guys that liked build awesome trucks. With this TH-cam channel I have been amazed at how great of people him and all of these guys are. The world needs more people like them.

Its not the roof....its the floor of the top story.....so its very structural.

Still, the weight on it is now way over normal floor loadings, I can only assume they have been placed directly over 1st story walls.
Dang HeavyD….your team’s compassion and generosity have no limits. I know what it feels like to be able to help others and see the good and inspiration it brings to all. America as a nation had this ability in spades during the tough years, but it has sadly eroded somewhat. I hope more people see you and your team as an example of what good stewardship and caring for our fellow men, women and habitat can do to revive our history of a “can do” nation.
